    Purdy played lots of games without Debo last year and won them all. The problem was when they lost Trent. Without him that OL is an absolute abomination. If there's an MVP for that offense it is Trent.

    Trent is the real key for the 49ers. Aiyuk missed at least one game earlier in the season, 49ers still put up 30. Lost Deebo last year for 3 or 4 games and offense didn't skip a beat. Trent goes down and the run game suffers and Shanahan doesn't have a dropback passing game. They need the run game for the play action passing.

    As a 49ers fan and NFC fan, I'm gonna say that you are slightly (and only slightly) off on your "fatal flaws" for the 49ers and the Eagles.
    For the Eagles, their fatal flaw is that their LBs and Safety's aren't that good...which is why they have a terrible 3rd down defense. And that fatal flaw is a bad one to have when CMC, Kittle, Deebo, LaPorta, Gibbs, and Montgomery are on teams you'll probably have to play in the playoffs.
    For the 49ers, you are correct that the answer is obviously health....but I'll argue that it's purely the health of Trent Williams. He's literally irreplaceable in a way no other player on the 49ers is. I'd argue that an injury to Purdy or CMC would be easier to overcome than losing Trent.

      Texans schedule has held up well in terms of ease all season long. They are running into some brick wall defenses coming up with the Jets and Browns along with their Titans circuit nestled in between. I think they can eke out 4 wins in the next 6 weeks. The Broncos can pull it off but the Chargers circuit may be tough to win both just because Herbert on offense is always a factor. If they can steal one against the Lions at their home, that would be huge for them.

    The "fatal flaw" of the Seahawks is their incredibly outdated play calling and scheme. Its an issue that goes all the way to the top.
    Opposing defenses have figured them out, and they refuse to modernize or even just adjust their defense and offense to combat how their opponents counter their limited play design.

      Yeah, EJ and Brett's analysis is pretty goddamn lazy here. "Geno just needs to hit the deep shots". How about we run an offense where moving the ball isn't predicated on taking a shotgun drop, expecting the (shitty) pass pro to hold up and taking deep shots all day? And maybe DK Metcalf can catch a pass that hits him in both hands once in a while would be nice.

    The only major difference between this years colts, and last years absolute garbage fire colts is coaching. And really only the offensive half of the coaching staff. Mannnn if AR can pick up where he left off next season, the colts will be in contention for the division. And if they make a couple good moves in the off-season? I could see them having a Bengals type rise to the top.
    Everyone is talking about the Texans/Jags battles in the coming years. But the colts will strongly be in that mix too. AFC South went from one of the worst to one of the best very quickly.

    • @Austin.Kilgore
      @Austin.Kilgore 6 месяцев назад

      I think I’d have to disagree by a decent bit… JT was injured for good bit of games last year, our O-line was consistently underperforming and we had a really washed up version of Matt Ryan at QB1 and an even more washed Nick Foles at QB2. I’d much have Gardner Minshew than either of those 2, also we have the excellent addition of Josh Downs this year too. Now I certainly agree we’ve had an incredibly massive upgrade at coaching staff and that it probably is fair to say that’s what’s made the biggest difference. But I guess my point is we’ve upgraded in pretty much every area of the offense beyond just coaching, which has all contributed to us performing beyond expectations. Last season was absolutely miserable and the only area in which there’s been a downgrade is the secondary… with us losing Gilmore to the Cowboys, lost Isiah Rodgers to gambling/his own stupidity and then the Dallas Flowers injury a few weeks into the season.

    • @king_supreme1102
      @king_supreme1102 6 месяцев назад

      @@Austin.Kilgore None of those are major upgrades. Still don’t have a starting caliber QB. O-Line made 0 upgrades. Jonathan Taylor will have about the same time played as last year. Downgrades at CB. Downs is the only thing that’s been consistently better, and even then Parris Campbell had his best season last year:

    • @Austin.Kilgore
      @Austin.Kilgore 6 месяцев назад

      @@king_supreme1102 i didn’t any of those were massive upgrades, only the coaching staff was the massive upgrade. But the others were still upgrades nonetheless. Also the O-line underperformed last year and they’re playing much better again this year. Also while yes Gardner isn’t a starting caliber QB, he’s better Matt Ryan. Pretty much every single aspect of the the offense has undoubtedly been consistently better this year. Point is there several minor to pretty decent improvements since last year, paired along with the huge upgrade of the coaching staff. Which I believe has all cultivated in us over performing the pre-season expectations of us

    • @king_supreme1102

      @@Austin.Kilgore I didn’t say “nobody is playing better than last year”. Only Downs and Gardner are decent upgrades. By “upgrade” I mean we actually replaced a player with someone better. I’m saying that we are playing a lot better with mostly the same team BECAUSE of the coaching upgrade. That’s the only major difference. And that’s why we’re going to be extremely dangerous next year when we make more upgrades.

    I feel for Fins it may be a match dependent thing the playoffs plus their defense not being at 100%. Of the high profile matchups they have gotten this season, only the Chiefs and the Ravens are the only ones they may possibly meet in the Divisional round. In terms of potential NFC playoff match ups, the Lions may have the most to lose for not being 'perfect' enough to land the 1st seed and the bye. They can get the dome games but they have to run through some real buzz saw defenses by the divisional round that could revert Goff back to 2018.

      Dude I completely understand liking Gardner Minshew as a man but wishing he was your QB1 is just insanity to me. Lol He’s great as a QB2, probably the best QB2 in recent memory but he just simply isn’t QB1 material no matter how much some NFL fans may desperately wish him to be. Usually at least when you have a QB who goes for the risky/big passes behest the danger of an TO, they typically have a big/strong arm that benefits such a playing style. Gardner however is a QB with that sort of style but lacks a big arm to go along with him… so you still get all the risk but with a much reduced chance of award.

How do we do determine who's a quality opponent, by the opponent's record of course. So either everyone is a fraudulent, or no one is. I personally think they're all frauds. Every team in the NFL is just a few bad bounces away from losing a game to Panthers, or (in the Eagles' case) the Jets.

    @1:23:20 hey guys, I love your offseason content, but I'm a Vikings fan and you have nothing for me in the season. You might as well keep ignoring us if you only come in with kinda uninformed opinions, this doesn't match up at all to your usual level of content.

      Other than once having a boss from West Chester (who didn't like me very much) not seeing how this is a thing. 🤷‍♂

    NFC south- existing is reason enough
    Lions- don't Thanksgiving it (goff can't play like goff)
    Vikings- need QB
    GB-dont play SF, Love needs to be OG AR
    SF- QB lives and Shanahan doesn't Shanahan
    Seahawks- Geno goes back to last year
    Cowboys and Eagles are just frauds

    Ok but the dolphins and cowboys lose against all 500+ teams. Not just chiefs and eagles

    Unreal team....literally second to worst passing defense in football...QB has 16 turnovers....Superstar Wr has vanished....team of destiny tho 😅
