First fpv video I’ve watched in years! Now let’s get to watchin! Man do I miss fpv. That was beyond my most favorite hobby. I’d kill to just have an old school analog setup again.
Interesting…I bought longer antennas just to be able to fly behind myself and have the antennas clear my own pumpkin head. I wasn’t even looking for better overall reception. Great video as usual!
I like this, something a little different just a some fun with a little antenna experiment 🙂 The best thing is your out there flying and conveying a little bit of fun -- looking forward to your next video.
If you're blind testing, how do you expect to see the results? _I slay me!_ I ran a similar test a decade ago, when VAS was pushing tall omni's to get signal past ye ole noggin. I used my old Kevlar combat helmet filled with shotgun shells and a beer though, versus pumpkins, to properly mimic the American experience.
Antennas were like the one thing I spent the most money on starting with FPV....broke so many I can't count....then I hot glue injected them - never broke one since..and still gives me great reception!
Hey Stew and Raven, Cool video, I have been using a long MENACE circular antenna for my long range quads for a while and you can definitely better. Thanks again for the video
Not everyone has access to it or can afford HD digital gear…also any pilot in the hobby for more than 10years still has analog gear. If anything it’s a dirt cheap option for people who want to get into FPV.
Analog is the most used system, by a lot. For most regular people analog is still the only alternative. Digital VTX's are much more expensive and not everybody feels confortable knowing how much a crash will cost compared to the old but trusty technology. Also modern analog cams are so much better nowadays compared to just some years ago. Having said that, I fly both.

Do you have anything to fly now?
I run 2 long on my tbs fusion and that is what I thought work best as well
Your videos were the first fpv videos I ever watch. Glad to see you back at it.

Great video Stu, I also use the long boys!! Good to see you back dude, missed the vids man!
Legend!
Nice little techy test, thanks Stu.
So Cool!! I miss seeing tests like this. Love the pumpkins lol

Great video mate! You remind me of Butcher from the show "The Boys" . have a great week man!
LOL for a second I thought you drew Botgrinder on the pumpkin 😂
Were you using only one antenna on the set you were actually wearing?
Science!!!! Love this test
I love the Fly woo Nano, its all I fly anymore. I don't use nothing else
I use a Foxeer Lollipop Long to fly behind me, it raises above my spud head, LOL.
Haha wouldn’t a Melon be a more accurate noggin? 😂😂
I miss analog. HD adds a 200-250 dollars to my build. I feel scared like a new flyer again.
i wouldn't try and fly anything with such a bad image quality. analog has been dead for ages cant we all just move onto better things?

Lots of people cannot afford to upgrade
I think for lightweight 1S freestyle whoops and such, analogue is still the best option regardless of cost.
I think most people can afford to upgrade. Mantaining them is quite another story. Crash and pay.
