Hey Gavin thank you for doing this test and video. Can you do a drone tweaks FCC test on the Mini 3 Pro please? Only ask because the Mini 3 Pro with RC is probably considered to have the reputation of having horrible signal.
Hi Gavin, I appreciate your very clear technical explanation, knowledge and delivery. Very few of the other channels understand the technical differences with regards to FCC and CE modes and corresponding frequencies and power levels and the effects of different terrains/environments.
Hi, thank you for watching, I very much appreciate appreciate that, I could have made a more basic video and just cut to the tests rather than spending 12 hours scripting and editing but I wanted to make the right video to explain how it all works. Thanks for the kind words

Hi my friend help please if you can .. When im flying my controller always goes back to ago fly screen 2 or 3 times ?? why is this please. it's very concerning!! many thanks if you can help.
As always... 👍👍 Gavin! OUCH according to this video I had it backwards. I erroneously thought only the FCC version included 5.2, not the CE version. It's no wonder my M4P does so well here in _CE drone HELL_ Thailand! Of course, amazing O4 is why I finally bit the bullet and grabbed an M4P late last year. It's too bad the Drone Tweaks app can't help my beloved old short-range CE Mini 1, still in perfect condition. Oh well.
Hi Gavin! I confirm that mirrors and yagis antennas don't really improve the range of my DJI MINI SE. What about Drone Hacks FCC offer? Unfortunately, Drone Tweaks seems not to work on Android. Am I right? What would you recommand as a range improver for my modest MINI SE? I had it for 2 years 1/2 and am not disappointed yet. I use it in Portugal and Poland more often than in France where I bought it from a DJI shop.
That’s very strange, where was you flying it and what channel? I’ve had the mavic mini (essentially the mini se) back in the day before VLOS 5km away with extenders.
Hey Gazzzassss, supadupa vidills, my conundrum is i have a mini 3pro, and the FREE FCC HACK from Gil, that you input through the bottom of the rcn1. If i get the mini 4, I'll be ce, and i can't afford the drone tweaks annual fee, as I'm a destitute pensioner, because i waste all my pension on drones. So, is the mini 4 on ce as good as the mini 3 on fcc? Ce doesn't even give 300m, as you show, so i have to use fcc at all costs. So, mini 4 on ce gets what range????, because mini 3 on fcc gets almost 3km in busy areas.
Are the frequency limitations hard coded into the firmware by region or are they dynamically enabled/disabled by the geo location? i.e., I'm a US based flier with the appropriate hardware/firmware/software for my location. If I go to Europe with my Mini 4 Pro will it automatically geld itself when it sees that I'm in Europe?
That's what I also wanted to know. I bought a Mini 3 from China, it is being shipped right now and the seller says "CE certificate". I'm afraid this was a bad deal as the drone won't fly in FCC mode, which is allowed in my country.
Couldn't agree more gavin its the reason I got the mini 4 pro at launch. I was pretty disappointed with the mini 3 pro signal, and even in the ce mode, I find the mini 4 pro much better for signal if only the mavic 3 had ocusync 4. But fcc from drone tweeks would certainly help if you're experiencing signal issues 👍
Don't you just upload a blank text file with a certain name to the controller in order to get the FCC hack instead of needing some special application?
I did buy this hack about 18 months ago to use with the Mini 2 i had, but never got round to using it as i have good signal strength where i live, i now the the standard Mini 3 and the signal strength seems to be the same as the Mini 2, guess because they are both on the Ocusync 2.
