I don't think they've played it since the mid-2000s and with the range of its vocal melodies and the difficulty of the guitar solos I feel like it's never gonna happen :( Not to mention that it's one of Portnoy's signature songs...
That's why I went to Portnoy's Shattered Fortress tour. Where he performed the entire 12 step suite with Haken as the band along with Eric Giellete on guitars. Killer show. It would be interesting to see DT perform that again.

Anyone watching these interviews for the sole purpose of seeing Petrucci confirm the presence of 8-string guitars? I don’t even own an 8-string, just want to get in on the hype and ridicule people for listing to bands that employ < 8-stringed instruments (stupid plebeians).
It's funny what Mangani said about 5 wrong notes lol as a musician, we always can pick out mistakes lol as a fan we don't care but as a joke and even out of respect for the band, we always seem to listen from a musicians pov and not a fans pov and hear the 1 or 2 off beats or wrong notes lol a million good 1 bad and the song is ruined jk
Why do I feel that the moment Mangini starts talking, rest of the band starts getting into some kind of uncomfortable zone? It feels like they still didn't accept him fully into the band to speak about it etc, only there as a gigging musician etc... Really miss Portnoy vibe in these interviews, dude knows how to communicate with the fans...
Portnoy may have been a good drummer. But he was a jerk. You don't know what go's on when the camera is off. What they do. Give me a break man. Portnoy cooked his own goose with his controlling arrogant attitude.
