  • We find it humorous that some customers complain that the saplings they’re attempting to pull will break off while in the bite of a Pullerbear. It’s analogous to blaming the hammer for bending nails. As the user of the hammer may own some of the blame for striking the nail poorly as does the user of the Pullerbear not utilizing an obvious STEP. When using the Pullerbear you will notice we have welded STEP on to the sliding jaw. We want you to step right there and then push the handle away from you until the jaw bites into the flesh of the stem.
The mechanics work like this… if you bite the stem where it comes out of the ground the result will be a lifting motion followed by the side pull. If you grab the stem higher there isn’t a lifting motion just a bending over twisting motion which is more likely to break the stem off. Think about how you would attempt to pull a small sapling with your hands… you would pull straight up not bend the stem over before initiating the lifting motion.
Try this method, it’s easy, it’s only a one step for gawds sake.
