Hey. Just wanted to thank y’all. I found y’all’s page recently. Super amazing. I am just getting more into gaming. I got my pledge in for Nemesis Retaliation and can’t wait for that.
Amusement park is a great analogy for this game! It's the main reason why lower player counts work better. You could very well play at 3 or 4, but people will be waiting for awhile to get back to their turn.
I bought a shirt to support you guys! Just wanted to say that it has been a really tough year for me mentally, and I have recently been trying to get into the board game hobby (though I have no friends or family who want to play with me), and your channel has been an amazing resource with great and uplifting content. So thank you very very much! Cheers from Toronto, Canada.
Thank you for the support! We really appreciate it :) Best wishes and hoping that the rest of the year will be way better for you! The board gaming hobby has brought a lot of joy in our lives and we're sure it will be a great addition to yours as well.
that's a very helpful review, this game definitely sounds like what i'm looking for; building a quality solo collection so i don't depend on others. ill add this to 7th Citadel and Continent, Skyrim, Final Girl and Nemesis for my solo experiences so far.
There is a unique solo bot for each civ, so highly recommended
I don't think he knows about second breakfast, Janis.
Helpful review!
I absolutely love this game! I just got gifted Horizons and I'm having a blast with it. I owned both Classics and Legends and I still haven't gone through all the nation decks. I'd say about 1/3 from both I have played. BEST solo deck builder experience I've ever had, the bot is SUPER easy to do and it's quick. Never played multiplayer, my gaming group isn't quite at that level, so solo is fantastic. Based on reviewers saying huge downtime for each player, kinda glad no one wants to play it HAHAHA! I'm also glad that Horizons updates Legends/Classics, they were much needed, plus the simple bot cards for all nations? Just for the quality of life stuff Horizons adds, I'd say grab it as it isn't expensive as other deck builders.
I'm looking at you Pathfinder and Earthborne Rangers! lol
How does the rule book stack up this time around? I’ve heard that the rule book with Classics and Legends left much to be desired.
Rulebook is good for this one
Been thinking a while about trying one of those, still dont know what box to buy
If you’re a complex gamer, start with Legends or Horizons
Is this a must-have if you already have one of the original games? Are there some noticeable improvements in this version or simply more factions?
It isn’t a must have. If you adore the original game, and simply want even more puzzles to explore, then get this one. This box comes with new nations, a new deck of market cards, a new optional module to increase combo-tastic turns, and also some minor fixes changes to cards from previous sets (buffs/nerfs).
I played this with 3 players, I agree that it's really a game you should play solo. And I got the same feel and conclusion as Villainous, I don't like games like this where you get a deck that has a specific strategy because it goes like this. First play you know nothing about the deck and just "have fun" with seeing a potential (which isn't really fun to me), second play you start to learn the deck which is probably the most fun playthrough where you actually kind of know what you are supposed to do, third play once you know the deck there's no point in playing it because it technically plays itself if you play optimally.
Nice!!! 😁😁😁
How would one go about sending you a self published game? Understanding it would not be shown in video unless you genuinely wish do do so.
Lovely, i have classics and it hardly hits the table, so ill pass. Can you guys review The White Castle Please?
Are the Mayans all about human sacrifice?
No, you are thinking of Aztecs. /JG the history nerd.
@@BoardGameHangover OK. No human sacrifice in the game then. Thanks for an awesome and entertaining board game channel!
