Just wanted to let you know, that my wife was a huge fan. She lost her battle to cancer at age 44, and as it worked out, you released this song the day before she passed. I had been busy for weeks caring for her and missed the announcements etc, so I was clueless. But it was obviously meant to be because I found this the afternoon of her passing, and I instantly knew we would close out her service with it. What an amazing production of this song. Thank you

Mitch is so smooth and pure, but I got goose bumps when Scott began singing in his lower register. I couldn’t help saying OMG out loud. It touches the soul. I am constantly amazed as to how you can take a cover and make it better than the original.
Okay, this is ridiculous! I became a fan of Pentatonix, around Christmas time, then I went down the Pentatonix rabbit-hole. Many comments stated, to fully get the Pentatonix sound, you should listen to them through a headset or earphones. I dismised that! WOW! What a mistake that was. I just now listened through a headset: OMG! They were right. Now, I'm down the Rabbit-hole all over again! Just WOW!!!

Thank you for this masterpiece. Mitch is unbelievable, so versatile, he sounds sometimes childlike and innocent, sometimes pondering and searching, sometimes mature and wise. A spectrum of emotions is immense. It is as if lots of different prayers are lifted to Haven in Mitch's singing, by the power and versatility of his voice and sheer force and variety of emotions he puts into his singing.
Oh my, my, my. Hard to find the words. Absolutely stunning. This is so rich and masterful. I know I sound like a broken record, but Mitch. Oh my God in Heaven. That Heaven-sent sound, that purity, that emotional vibe that comes through his voice - I’m a glutton for him. I simply can’t get enough of Mitch. And the others were brilliant as well. I love when Scott sings with a more classical sound and, of course,I love his riff at the end. I hear either Kirstie or Mitch (or Me!) echoing it right after him, up an octave. And Kirstie with her powerful and emotional vocals during the bridge slayed it. And finally when Mitch sings that beautiful, simple but powerful ascending line at the end. Do you have any idea how hard that is to do? Talk about breath control! And he finished it with NO vibrato! Holy Father God, he is a cross between a beast in his ferocious talent and drive, and an angel in his quality and output. We (I) are so blest to have him, to have every single one of them in our lives. I do pray for them that You, God, will protect them from harm, give them fortitude and grace and keep them and all of us safe. Thank you, God.
Scott sounds so much different when he’s uses his operatic voice! I had a hard time telling who was singing Italian. Then he sounded like his pop self at the end of the Italian part. It was beyond beautiful!! Very well done guys!! My fav off the album for sure!!

Everytime I hear Mitch like this I am shocked, in awe and just so unbelievablly a peace with the world, Then Scott comes in with his dedication to master the language and the song, such a joy. This song overall was there's but Kristen had her moment to shine, Matt held it together with such geogous bass and Kevin was on point. What a song, amazing.

Sorry to hear that you lost your wife. I also lost my wife to Cancer, only in 2 days it will be 5 years. She loved Pentatonix almost as much as I do. Wish this song and their rendition of Amazing Grace My Chains are Gone were both out when she passed. I would have used both in her memorial get together with all our friends, family, and work associates.

you probably will not see this but I'm 14 years old and my family and I are Christians. Unfortunately my grandma passed 2 days ago, the night of 11-13-22 from a two-year battle with cancer. it's been pretty hard for me. This song was her favorite. Your songs always hit me hard, but this really tops it. I'm sure she's singing this in heaven. I will probably be listening to this on repeat until I get closure on the situation. However, I just want to thank you for singing this and hopefully "every heart that's broken will be mended."

I’m so glad they let Mitch take the female lead. Kirstie is good and she shines in this too but Mitch’s voice just has the perfect angelic quality for this part. He was blessed with a rare gift and we all deserve to hear him more often.

Mitch 😭😭 ❤💔 I have never heard anyone sing so gracefully and delicately but with so much power. He has your full attention from his first note to his last. The 'duet' from 2:53 to 3:20 is so good. Wow. Just wow. You can feel and see that Mitch is in his total comfort zone (range wise) and Kirstie's voice keeps getting better and better with age. Just like fine wine. Her performence in this song is Celine Dion level of greatness. Or even better. And to be honest, I truely believe that Mitch is one of a kind. His clearness in his voice, the perfectly balanced vibrato and the mindblowing range is pretty much unique in that state of perfection.

I absolutely agree that Scott and Mitch deserve every bit of the acclaim that they have been receiving here... but MATT!!! My GOD man!!! In this song, Matt has built a sonic foundation that you could build a skyscraper on! He creates the incredibly powerful low resonance of a cathedral organ, while seeming simultaneously like the entire bass string section of a large orchestra! I understand that some of this comes from the production, but he has delivered everything needed to support the lofty highs and mid-ranges of Kirstie, Mitch, and Scott. And the vocal perc??? The "Human 808" has apparently received some amazing upgrades. He is no longer "just" super-human, but has transcended mere humanity. But seriously... of the 5 members of this stellar group, at least 2, possibly 3 have elevated their skills to the rarified air of being counted among the finest singers ever on the planet - a distinction only achieved by a handful in each generation. The pool of vocal percussionists (the term "beat-boxers" doesn't really give Kevin the credit he deserves), while smaller and not as widely recognized as "singers", has only a few true "Master-level" practitioners, and Kevin is among the finest ever. And Kirstie's performance in this masterpiece? What can I say? She had me in tears twice, and I'm a 60yo hard-workin', s**t-kickin', cynic.
Absolutely agree with you. They struck gold with Matt, who was a fan of theirs years before joining them, and who has always wanted to do a cappella. He is very highly trained (as they all are) and was singing a cappella professionally before joining Pentatonix. He also fits in with the others perfectly on both a personal level and a professional level. I’m soooo glad they found him!

Pentatonix is the best a capella group of all time. They didn't just win grammy's. They created a new award category because of Pentatonix, which they won twice. Their first grammy award winning song was recorded in a closet in one of their apartments. The second grammy was for a song that had no lyrics. And the third was for country duo performance with Dolly Parton for Jolene, which had never won a grammy before that. They are pioneers with their arrangements and inspired an entire new genre of a capella. There are some amazing a capella bands out there now but they were the first to do what they do.
I remember when I first heard Pentatonix sing "Mary, Did You Know?" That was several years ago, and their performance still gives me the shivers, and releases the onion ninjas! How fortunate we are to hear this gifted group of artists! Be well, everyone. 🙏💕💕

Oh my, my, my. Hard to find the words. Absolutely stunning. This is so rich and masterful. I know I sound like a broken record, but Mitch. Oh my God in Heaven. That Heaven-sent sound, that purity, that emotional vibe that comes through his voice - I’m a glutton for him. I simply can’t get enough of Mitch. And the others were brilliant as well. I love when Scott sings with a more classical sound and, of course,I love his riff at the end. I hear either Kirstie or Mitch (or Me!) echoing it right after him, up an octave. And Kirstie with her powerful and emotional vocals during the bridge slayed it. And finally when Mitch sings that beautiful, simple but powerful ascending line at the end. Do you have any idea how hard that is to do? Talk about breath control! And he finished it with NO vibrato! you probably will not see this but I'm 14 years old and my family and I are Christians. Unfortunately my grandma passed 2 days ago, the night of 11-13-22 from a two-year battle with cancer. it's been pretty hard for me. This song was her favorite. Your songs always hit me hard, but this really tops it. I'm sure she's singing this in heaven. I will probably be listening to this on repeat until I get closure on the situation. However, I just want to thank you for singing this and hopefully "every heart that's broken will be mended."

I love them all together, and Kirsties, Matts, and Kevins vocals are beautiful and skilled as always….
But I will always find the compliment of Scotts and Mitchs voices together stunning, they are somehow the perfect combination of tone, texture, everything. Each alone is amazing, but together its extra 👌🏻

Mitch and Scott's voices are astounding! Mitch's higher notes in the beginning and how it mixes with Scott's lower notes! Amazing! They've grown so much since their first christmas album 10 years ago.

I love the version that Celine Dion did with Andrea Bocelli. That was my introduction to "The Prayer". But you guys blew it out of the water! The blend of your voices was perfect! I absolutely agree that Scott and Mitch deserve every bit of the acclaim that they have been receiving here... but MATT!!! My GOD man!!! In this song, Matt has built a sonic foundation that you could build a skyscraper on! He creates the incredibly powerful low resonance of a cathedral organ, while seeming simultaneously like the entire bass string section of a large orchestra! I understand that some of this comes from the production, but he has delivered everything needed to support the lofty highs and mid-ranges of Kirstie, Mitch, and Scott. And the vocal perc??? The "Human 808" has apparently received some amazing upgrades. He is no longer "just" super-human, but has transcended mere humanity. But seriously... of the 5 members of this stellar group, at least 2, possibly 3 have elevated their skills to the rarified air of being counted among the finest singers ever on the planet - a distinction only achieved by a handful in each generation. The pool of vocal percussionists (the term "beat-boxers" doesn't really give Kevin the credit he deserves), while smaller and not as widely recognized as "singers", has only a few true "Master-level" practitioners, and Kevin is among the finest ever. And Kirstie's performance in this masterpiece? What can I say? She had me in tears twice, and I'm a 60yo hard-workin', s**t-kickin', cynic.
Absolutely agree with you. They struck gold with Matt, who was a fan of theirs years before joining them, and who has always wanted to do a cappella. He is very highly trained (as they all are) and was singing a cappella professionally before joining Pentatonix. He also fits in with the others perfectly on both a personal level and a professional level. I’m soooo glad they found him!

Oh my GOOD LORD! I find myself thinking “That was my favorite!” after every song I hear from Pentatonix… but this one was on a whole other level!!! Chills and tears the whole way through. Loved every second and now I’m going to watch it a thousand more times!! ♥️🙏🏻♥️

Pentatonix is the best a capella group of all time. They didn't just win grammy's. They created a new award category because of Pentatonix, which they won twice. Their first grammy award winning song was recorded in a closet in one of their apartments. The second grammy was for a song that had no lyrics. And the third was for country duo performance with Dolly Parton for Jolene, which had never won a grammy before that. They are pioneers with their arrangements and inspired an entire new genre of a capella. There are some amazing a capella bands out there now but they were the first to do what they do.

My god...this was more than perfect. Mitch, you're perfect. He killed it from the beginning until the very end. Mitch and Kirstie's duet is FANTASTIC I didn't want it to end. It was like a battle of who can sing the highest. God this is so good. My man SCOTT didn't come to play! Your italian pronunciation is so impressive. He's very good with languages.
