Wow!! THANK YOU!!! :D I've been thinking to upload some of my covers to Spotify or Soundcloud but I wasn't sure, but after reading your comment I might actually do it!! Thank you very much!!
As a former clarinetist...those dynamics and staccato notes are *chef's kiss* This does not sound like an easy piece/arrangement but you play it so cleanly!
Thank you su much for such a positive comment! Each of these covers involve a lot of work, but it is so rewarding! I am really enjoying it and I am so glad to see that other people are enjoying them too! :D I really can't wait to come back with more!
I had the feeling that something was off here, then I realised that your right hand was the upper one. Which was making me low-key uneasy as a clarinet player^^ And when I saw that the clock was the other way around too, it finally dawned on me that the video was mirrored :D
Yesss!!! Good observation!! I am sorry that looks a bit confusing. All of my videos are mirrored as I have been recording them with the front camera of my phone xD From now on they will look quite different as I have a new proper camera for recoding, I can't wait to show you all the change!
@@JuliaRaga The pleasure is all mine ☺️ Yes that soundtrack is so amazing ✨ I played the game last year and always went to the resting grounds, just to hear that piano piece 😅 I even learned it and made a recording. If you’d like to hear it, feel free to have a listen. Also Dirtmouth is so amazing, with the piano and cello 💜 And wow, I never noticed how beautiful a clarinet actually sounds solo, before seeing your video of playing ‘Time’... it’s so beautiful ✨
Thanks a lot!! I had to double check the score. I wrote 8 parts and the 3rd clarinet had an additional voice for doubling in some key moments so I recorded 9 tracks at the end. (5 soprano Bb Clarinet, 2 Bass Clarinet and 1 ContraBass). I currently play on a Buffet Crampon RC Prestige :D
Julia, you have a gorgeous tone and meticulous attention to detail. I just got back into clarinet and your channel is a major inspiration for me. You should film and feature more of your bass and contrabass.
What the hell man, those huge 16th runs are so perfect, I commend you for the talent and patience that you posses because those runs and the 4th octave melody is not easy in the slightest (I know I've played it), this is genuinely impressive, I'd love to see more covers!
Those 16th took a couple of weeks of intense practice and my neighbours hating me for the rest of my tenancy hahaha Thank you very much for your listening, I am very glad you enjoyed it!! There will be more covers for sure!! stay tuned ;)
@@JuliaRaga Oh nice! I might have to try that sometime soon. I usually play on an ishimori ligature. If you ever get the chance to I def recommend trying one out.
Loved it! I'm looking for different versions after recording my own and yours is super clean and well done! Loved the video editing too :) Subscribed 💜
Thanks a lot for the recommendation!! Would you know any specific model that you would recomment for clarinet? I have changed my set up recently (finally!!) but since I started that is the best I could do with my phone xD
@@JuliaRaga oh, any condenser microphone will definitely work, honestly just find the cheapest one. AKG P210 is one that comes to mind. You’ll also need some kind of recording software, Audacity is the best free one I know. and audio interface. Audio interfaces can be kinda scary because it’s easy to damage mic if it unplugs wrong. so maybe a usb condenser mic would be better, usb condenser mic would most likely be cheaper overall too. They are $30-$50 on Amazon. So if you have extra money I think AKG P210 would be better, but you’ll also need to get an audio interface, which is $45 minimum.
Thank you so much for your comment!! I really appreciate this honesty! The sync is not quite ok....and it really bothers me.... :( Something went wrong when I uploaded it because I can watch it without any problems in my computer. I hope that now that I have new equipment and I'm not recording with my phone I can improve the quality of the audios too :) I'll keep working hard!! :D
Thank you very much!!! I do like Brazilian music! Actually many years ago I played some music by Celso Machado and I loved it! I'll listen to "Clube da esquina" too. Please send more recommendations!
I'm sorry why did it take me a year to see this youtube must be bugged
RUclips is broken... hahaha! I am glad you found it and liked it!! Thank you!!!
POV: You screwed with Hornet, YOU GET STABBED.
You're such a badass for making this cover, it's so soooo good it hurts. You should consider putting it on Spotify haha

Thank you so much for the appreciation!! I think the hardest part to record was the semiquavers on the highest register, that took several takes xD
Can’t imagine the work that went into this. Not only did you record multiple parts on one instrument, you played it perfectly. Excellent work!
Thank you su much for such a positive comment!

Beauty....... And the music was good too. Searched for the city of tears clarinet cover actually and came across this gem.
Thank you very much! City of tears is coming out this 2021 :)

It has been five years or so since I have played the clarinet but this made me wanna pick it up soooo bad
hahahaha!! Go and do it!!! xD
I am actually curious, did you pick it up and played? :D
This is amazing, not only is it a perfect rendition, the video also has 0 dislikes as it should
Thank you so much for such a positive comment!!
I hope that dislike button keeps it that way! xD
Another very beautifully played cover. Congrats for the 100 subs, first important step in your music adventures :)
Thank you very much!! :D
Step by step we'll get there!
You need at least 100k of subscribers, you are amazing covering and editing !!
WOW!! Thanks a lot!!! This means a lot to me!!
What a spot-on rendition, huge props!
Thank you so so much!!!! :D
Beautiful !! 💜 Christopher Larkins’ music is so amazing ✨☺️

Thank you very much! I'm glad you think so!! :D
Bro, I’m playing clarinet in my band class (third year) and I’m just amazed at this. I didn’t expect it to sound this good.
Wow, this is amazing! Do you have any tips for someone who wants to start making videos like these? :)
Thanks a lot!!
@@JuliaRaga Thank you very much! :)
Awesome fingering and interpretation. I hope you can improve your audio hardware and editing, sometimes seems desynchronized the video with the audio
Mtra excelentes arreglos que dan una nueva modernidad al clarinete la felicito
Que presentación tan increíble, te ganaste un suscriptor
Sounds really nice. Also what ligature are you using? seems familiar.
Thank you very much!!
