The T880 has a nice wheelbase for RGN work in neighborhoods! Was on the Thruway in Utica on Wed and it would downpour and stop and downpour again. Traffic was down to 35 mph at one point. Everyday is an adventure!
Hey Boston trucker how are you doing today my friend I love watching our RUclips videos they are very educational videos and keep up the good work I like the content in the videos sweetheart and I do miss your old truck
I have had my Freightliner with the Allison auto for 3.5 years and I’m about to go crazy. Yes, it’s great off road and gets good fuel mileage but I’m to the point where I’m about to lose my shit because i hate getting up in the morning to drive that truck. Yeah, it’s a nice truck and plenty of drivers would be glad to have it but my whole childhood I grew up wanting to shift gears and have control of a rig. Now I couldn’t care less if I ever drive again. Sorry, just being REAL and getting that off my chest! lol. Great video Mike!
Have you ever looked into ceramic coating? We just did a new quint axle dump truck and it’s a game changer for washing! No more scrubbing, just rinse and it’s clean.
KW knew of an issue with the steering gear since the beginning of 2024. The manufacturer incorrectly installed the balls and IMO they have not been able to correct this issue. Under load these boxes can fail with fracturing and seize up.
Everyone make mistake saying what the issues is. Least you corrected it. But good thing you caught that steering problem. As well Freddy get back 100%. So much happening in one week for. But you be you "The"Boston Trucker. Keep it👍💯
Make sure you tell your workmate there in the red shirt that "She works hard for the money" was a song by Donna Summer, NOT Tina Turner. Gee whiz, I'm an Aussie and even I know that. Great vid by the way mate, keep up the good work.
Could be nuts but right around the 7 min mark when you mention the rattling in the T800 I noticed it looks like the drivers door is moving. Moving independently of the interior panel actually. Could be seeing things but might want to check her out drivah
I don't understand why manufacturers don't correct steering issues. I bought a new W900 back in 1988 and the steering box had recalls. Even my 389 I have now didn't turn same as yours.
Mike after watching all the dust in you guys pit it made me think do you guys have a water truck and real hot dry days we have ones driving around the plant constant to keep the dust down because some days it gets so bad it blows over 146 south and north bad
Lol I seen last video some people was really getting into ya all cause you point put issues and problems hell with then people man you just pointed out real issues and problems nothing wrong with that we know you're grateful for who you work for and what you drive kinda why you named them issues lol forget them like you said keep being you
Could tell that you really REALLY didn't have a great week. That brave face doesn't hide the frustration of new truck issues. Now the question is, is KW going to paint the box to match? Hopefully you get it back sooner vs later! Our weather down here in the bluegrass was the same this week. Couldn't keep anything clean or stay dry to save my life.. Let's hope next week is better for you and you get the W9 back. BTW have you given it a name?
Drove an automatic first time in 42 yrs of driving. If I keep what they gave me I need to put on a pretend shift and a pretend clutch pedal so I stop going for things that aren't there.
I drove a Freightliner with an automatic exactly ONE day in over 40 yrs. of driving. Told them to keep it. ( post retirement fill in job anyway ) No thanks! Todd the retired trucker.
Well, I'm sure your bosses are upset the truck is down as much as you are. For how much money they spent on the truck it should have no issues, the note on the truck is still due at the end of the month, and its another week its in a shop and not making a profit. I feel it boils down to the fact commercial vehicles don't have the same lemon law protections as a passenger vehicle so problems get kicked down the road to the consumer. But when your spending Ferrari/ Lambo money on a truck, there should be a certain level of attention to detail just due to the cost of the product.
You’re lucky you sensed there was something wrong with the steering in your truck. It could have ended up with a locked up steering box in a busy intersection. Ever since 2020 quality control went out the window. Hey you could be driving an old A model W900 with Ross shepherd steering it’s so loose feeling your constantly working the wheel to keep her straight 😂 What’s with the Cardillo brothers and nuts aka man berries they think you swing both ways 🤣 Yeah it’s not the old days anymore I get the same mantra we never strapped that down. I’m strapping it down I do and don’t take chances anymore.
Those days of loose steering back and forth are mostly gone now unless you're running that good old equipment. My bosses all are constantly cracking jokes, you need to have a good sense of humor to work here.
Well...There ARE some truckers out there on RUclips ( wont say who) that do a lot more bitching for a lot less reason. Just puttin' that out there. Take care Mike. Todd the retired trucker.
LOL you broke it so you could drive the automatic. There’s no quality control on anything anymore. Years ago you would never of heard of a bad new Steering Gear Box. Keep it shiny side up.
This guy is the only goof I know who washes a truck caused it rained who cares its a truck not a show piece. Maybe he should go park in a museum so it won't get dusty. 😂
I asked you a while ago. I’m also Anthony Cardillo from New York. I want to get like a sweatshirt does your company sell those sweatshirts I would like to buy when I live in Tampa now I’m a truck drive
@@TheBostonTrucker cool I’ll call today thank you and I’m also going to purchase one of your sweatshirts to congratulations on the new truck. It looks really cool.
I just don’t understand how they think a Driver is supposed to be in maximum controll of a Heavy Duty transport vehicle capable of moving 40 plus tons or more be connected to the operation of the Vehicle threw an Automatic Transmission it’s a Major Safety concern I am appalled that the Law allows it !!??😮
We have went from Mack heavy hauls with tag axle to auto western start heavy haul with a tag axle. Towing 40 ton excavators etc fine on flat ground once you get in the hills tho it’s for sure a safety concern we all hate them for heavy hauling the feeling of not being in control of a truck is not a great feeling. The downfall of trucking in my opinion isn’t eld like many people say I think it’s automatics and way back when things were mostly standards up until early 2000s there wasn’t many non English speaking steering wheel holders ever since auto taken over the van hauling industry it’s a joke. Bridges constantly being hit because these people can’t read English and the big corps just pass them thru school.
I used to do heavy haul and have seen plenty of 500,000lb loads moved with western star or t800 wide hoods married to an Allison. Yes I’m taking my 18 speed over an auto any day, but autos these days work just fine.
Love using the Strobes
💪👍
Mike, Wow brand new truck already in the shop. That is crazy for the amount of $$$$ they cost.
😔😔
"BWAN NA NA NA NA NA!!" 😂😂😂😂 That's not gonna get old! 😅😅
😁👍💯
Like the new Intro, Mike. Enjoy your new unit. Stay safe!!
Thank you
Those new trucks have cabin air filters? They must . Make sure u keep em clean for the ac /heat. Good job mike!
Yes, thanks
I saw an old Mac that someone made into a pickup today and immediately thought of you! Love those old rigs!

They really are a good size, not to big, just right!
Not a bad little video. Lol! I really like the T800 she’s a beauty.
Thank you Ron 😊
Loved your short at the show with the Jade 352 I fine coe😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Another great video Mike ! Enjoy the content !
Thanks 👍
Why didn’t they get the chrome turn ups going into the mufflers? Just wondering.
Keep it real Mike!
Crazy that no matter what all new stuff…cars, trucks, semis there is always an issue. No more Quality Control in any industry.

you do what the boss want most people don’t understand that
Yes exactly 💯
Yea but he has bosses with common sense and don’t seem to cry and have a fit. If you mention maybe we should do it another way.
Have you ever looked into ceramic coating? We just did a new quint axle dump truck and it’s a game changer for washing! No more scrubbing, just rinse and it’s clean.
That T600 is a very good looking truck. If you had to down size doing it in that is still pretty good living...
Yes absolutely it would be.
Thanks, Mike. Awesome video brother.👍👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it! 😀😊
KW knew of an issue with the steering gear since the beginning of 2024. The manufacturer incorrectly installed the balls and IMO they have not been able to correct this issue. Under load these boxes can fail with fracturing and seize up.
Yes exactly right, we heard about it but our trucks were supposed to be on the clear from the recalls.
afternoon Mike like i mentioned to you the same thing happened to me with my steering box mine is a ROSS they problem's stay safe pal
Yes sir I remember that.
I’ll send the portable power washer out for you Monday afternoon to Littleton so you don’t ride back dirty 😂😂😂
Would ya? 😂🤣 You're the best! 😜
Thats what you dont see anymore my friend .... people being real and honest ... thank you sir ! 🍺😎
Like the way you keep your office clean meaning your cab.
Thank you 👍😊
The jakes sounds good Mike on the T800 am actually hearing it good
Oh really? Glad to hear that 😊

Super💯video.
I know where the pool project is. When you got off route 3 at 62. Instead of going right, you went left on 62 into Burlington about a mile is my house.
Nice little neighborhood.

MIKEY BABY THOSE CARDILLO ARE KISSING YOUR TOUKAS LMFAO
They just appreciate me, nothing wrong with that, I feel the same way. 😋😘
4:24 new truck already has an air leak? 😮😮😮
Guess so 😌
Mike after watching all the dust in you guys pit it made me think do you guys have a water truck and real hot dry days we have ones driving around the plant constant to keep the dust down because some days it gets so bad it blows over 146 south and north bad
We have sprinklers.

Don't know how many times I put my foot right to the floor! 😉
Mike, do you anything in your wash or rinse water to stop water spots due to sun drying the water?
No I don't.
Keep the video's coming.
Put a nice bath towel on the floor put the floor mat on top of that. Keeps the dirt on the towel not letting it get everywhere 😊 thank me later
I've got a towel under my mat in my other truck and a wisk brush.

It ain't easy being easy my friend.
Hey Mike,Is the Cardillo merch for sale to the public ?
yes just not online
Looking like its gonna be a lemon problemas for Eva
A lot of problems for new truck sorry to hear
The low bed trailer looks a bit longer than the dump trailer that you usually drive. Is it?
No cover on the komatsu stack?
No cover, correct.
U might like the auto better In manual mode in the city?
It doesn't have that option.
@@TheBostonTrucker yea like if u only need 5th m into 5 if u know 4th road and only need 4th lock it out.
SAS Steering angle sensor I’ll stick with my 1988 MECHANICAL MACK R model
I can't believe it failed when it's brand new!!!!

You've always been real! Can't watch the poser drivers out there..complain they make no money but spend like an ass!
I appreciate you 😌
What I understand you want your New truck
I got it 😁
This is the thing with these new trucks. They look great but they are all plagued with stupid quality control issues.
Why weren't the grille strobes working 🤔
My friend.
Wheres the water wagon
565 in the t800?
Yes
Hi from Dexter🏠Missouri
I think it was donna summer
I love Donna Summer!
Mike, by the time your truck gets back you’ll want an automatic.
Mobile hauled 120 thousand automatics it pulls
make sure you get behind the ears ( mirrors) hehehe
Well...There ARE some truckers out there on RUclips ( wont say who) that do a lot more bitching for a lot less reason. Just puttin' that out there. Take care Mike. Todd the retired trucker.
So you're saying I'm not the only one 😉
Your boss had no idea the camera was recording! This video sponsored by Planters!🤣😂
😜🤣😂
Well, for somebody who is not allowed to drive trucks, I would drive an automatic every day if that was on the table.
I hear you there. I am an amputee on my left foot and if I was able to drive an automatic as opposed to being a gear jammer. I would take it.
LOL you broke it so you could drive the automatic. There’s no quality control on anything anymore. Years ago you would never of heard of a bad new Steering Gear Box. Keep it shiny side up.
Ok yeah if you must know that's exactly what happened 😂😂😂
Nope...Donna Summer. Haha!
Hot stuff!
hi are you doing a this is a suggestion for you why don’t you put some water melon lights on the back of your truck when you back up brad
All my lights on my new truck are watermelon lights.
Just proving my theory on how new trucks are complete junks
😟😟
No tires or plywood needed unloading there.
This guy is the only goof I know who washes a truck caused it rained who cares its a truck not a show piece. Maybe he should go park in a museum so it won't get dusty. 😂
There are some truckers out there that have more pride in their rides than most. That's the difference between an employee and a great employee.
As always.
I asked you a while ago. I’m also Anthony Cardillo from New York. I want to get like a sweatshirt does your company sell those sweatshirts I would like to buy when I live in Tampa now I’m a truck drive
