Hey everyone, please see E Nieves question about possible Glock sights below...I'm not a Glock guy so wanted to ask your opinions on possible options for him?
just started carrying this pistol. my friends scoffed when i said i got a taurus, they both carry shields, one is a police officer. they both handled and fired it and were very impressed. nice review!
Hey Jestarr! Yeah, people do tend to scoff at this pistol, but it's a quality firearm in my opinion and glad they ended up supporting your good choice! Carry on my friend!
@@MrInternationalSound Hi Dj! Yep, LOVE my Shield 40 Cal. Just didn't have the mag capacity I was looking for and thought I'd try something different. These Taurus G's are a really good option though. Thanks for watching and the input my friend! Shoot Straight!
@@MrInternationalSound I love S&W SDV9E/S&W M&P Shield 2.0 but Taurus stepped up their game, it's a high quality budget pistol well worth $350-$450 IMO The Sig Sauer P365 is very comparable but is smaller, more snappy, less ammo cap and the only real thing the Sig has on it is the night sights stock. But the G3c accepts Glock sights and for +$50 you can get the nightglow sights and it's still half the price.
People hate on it immediately based on the name. I think if it had Glock or Sig printed on the side people would love it lol. I don't understand people saying the shield and sig p365 are better. It's not even a comparison, the Taurus is half the freaking price of course the shield and sig are going to have better fit and finish and even be a bit smaller, you pay for all of that. But just because one gun is really good does not mean everything else sucks.
Thanks "D"! While I can't fire all these guns I still like to do what I can from a comparison perspective and hope it helps in the decision process. Thanks for watching and shoot straight!
I was at the range/gun store a couple of hours ago and seen one of these for $249. I had to talk myself out of buying it, but I think I will get one next pay day. Some of the brand snobs hate, but I like the way these fit in my hand. I have heard nothing but positive reviews about the G2C and G3C.
Hi Dominic! You simply can't go wrong with this pistol! I still love mine and practice with it when I'm at the range. That $249 is a heck of a price. Thanks for watching and the comment my friend!
Hi ElGeecho! Yeah, I'm not sure what the issue with some people is. As you see in my video, my competition pistol has a manual safety in roughly the same place, so it's second nature for me. But hey, if that's not your bag I get that too. I just want that added security especially when I have a pill in the tube! thanks for watching my friend!
The grip is different, the G3c covers more area, more aggressive and sits higher. Sights you really need to get from LakelineLLC they send a screw that you need for the front sight to fit correctly.
They weren’t just being lazy with the sights. It’s called a hackathorn style sight, much faster to pick up a good sight picture than with a 3 dot sight. In fact, most competition shooters use them for that reason so it makes sense to use it on a carry pistol where every second counts (like your life depends on it)
Hi Cameron! That's a really good price for this pistol my friend! And as I say in the video, it's good right out of the box. Thanks for watching and shoot straight!
I did lay away for mine with Kentucky Gun Co. Paid $299 with free shipping. My local FFL hit me for $25. For a total of $324. It just arrived yesterday. Now I just need to find some 9mm ammo?!?!?
@@rang123yea5 look up ammo grab I'm seeing ammo for 55¢ per round in 50rd/100rd/500rd/1000rd But most are 60-70 cents per round. Ammo is very expensive right now and the most popular brands are out of stock. Find good deals and don't hesitate to pick up decent deals. IMO if you find a box of 50rd 9mm anything under $25 you should jump on it during this ammo crisis. This will be an issue for a very long time and I don't see prices dropping. Not to get political but with Biden possibly being president, democrats possibly getting control of the House, Senate and POTUS and possibly adding more Dems to the court there are real dangers to the 2A and because of that alone ammo is like gold in 2021 Then we have civil unrest in many areas and 12-15 million new gun owners buying ammo, Federal, CCI and Hornady put out official videos stating they are out of ammo but will continue making it and pumping out what they can as fast as they can. They are limited because of laws surrounding covid That also adds salt to the wounds. Ask some older gun owners where they get ammo, maybe you have local stores, shop around and try to find good deals. It's just me but I won't pay $40-$50 for a box of 50 rounds To me that's price gouging (maybe they need to stay afloat) but it's to rich for my broke ass
I love my G3C and have no regrets with buying it but I find it a little heavy and bulky for concealed carry. So I bought a Ruger 380 max that I’m also thrilled with. It fits perfectly inside a pocket and it’s now my carry personal weapon. My Taurus GC3 has become my vehicle carry gun.
Hey CrazyUncle! Sounds like a sound plan. I'm just used to carrying my G3C in an inside belt holster so no problem, but if I was carrying it in my pocket I can see that it might be a bit big. Hey thanks for watching my friend!
@@The4GunGuy When I was carrying the GC3 in my pocket my wife looked at me and said “is that a pistol in your pocket or are you really glad to see me or are you thinking about some other woman”. Keep up the great work.
Excellent comparison between 6 guns very close in size. Shield owner consider Springfield XD or Taurus G3C to add to my collection.....You present lots of useful and pertinent info.
Thanks for the kind words Michael! The Glock 43x has a 10+1 capacity now which is better than shown in the video. Any of these are great options. Thanks again for watching!
This was the best detailed comparison of these 9mm. What a great snapshot version! I liked and subscribed! Thank you for your expertise and smart reviews!
Thanks Lone Star! I REALLY appreciate all the kind words from you and others on my review style and hope they really do help you make informed decisions, even if you purchase another brand (I don't get anything from these companies so am totally unbiased). And thanks for the sub my friend! Shoot Straight!
Hey Krislio! No problem. I just like to cover some of the options and hope you can expand according to your search. Thanks for watching my friend! Shoot Straight!
Excellent review! I liked the Engineering Technical Specification comparison matrix! Very informative and a very effective way to compare guns. Thanks!
Hey Derrick thanks for the kind words and glad the video helped you out a bit! As Brian Olsen mentioned below, also consider the Springfield Hellcat as well (it doesn't have a safety so not for me). Let us know what you decide on and shoot straight!
Almost all defensive pistols are capable of firing with the magazine removed. The only pistols I own that won’t fire with the magazine in are my Walther P22Q, and my Ruger SR22.
I'm still wanting one, but as a note on the range time. I've seen in other videos that G3C's tend to like the heavier weight bullets. If I am remembering correctly, the 147 grain does very well in the G3/G3C firearms.
Hi Mitch! I'm just used to the 124 grain rounds, but have heard the same, so I might try some when I can get my hands on some! Hope you get yours soon and thanks for watching my friend!
Hi Daniel, sorry for the late reply, I just saw your comment for some reason. I'm very happy so far with this pistol...The G2C if you change out the trigger is just as good IMO and I have both the G2C and now the G3C. Thanks for watching and your comment! shoot straight!
I absolutely love mine so far. First range day i fired 6 different kinds of ammo and it ate it like an all u can eat Chinese place without a single malfunction and was accurate. It likes heavier grains better.
Hi First Last! Thanks for the comment and glad you're liking the pistol. It is a great little pistol and you can't beat the price. Thanks for watching my friend!
Hi g10s! I totally agree. Shot it at the range yesterday just to keep up with practicing and it ran flawlessly. Still loving this little pistol. Thanks for watching my friend!
Thanks very much for the kind words Robin! I try not to waste too much time, but I am half Italian and we do like a story! Appreciate you watching my friend!
Nice review - probably the best I've seen on the G3C. I've had the G2C for awhile now, preferred it to the Shield I used to have, although mostly I carry a five shot snub. I still train a lot with striker fired polymers. I have a G3C on layaway right now, and I've been watching a lot of the reviews from the past two years. Most are grudgingly complimentary with a few snarky comments thrown in. I liked the across the board comparisons. I've shot all except the Beretta, and I found the G2C more to my liking.
Hi Lionquest! Thanks for the kind words! I try to keep an open mind unless there are glaring reasons why I think something should be avoided. I have both G2C and G3C and practice with them every few times I go to the range. I've had no issues with either and still stand behind these as CCP's. Thanks for watching my friend!
Hey Daniel! Thanks for the kind words. It is a great carry pistol and when I can have 12 in the mag and 1 in the chamber, that's enough for most every situation I may find myself in. Thanks for watching and the kind words! Shoot straight!
Excellent video. I'm a retired Quality Engineer and appreciate unbiased, factual reviews, and I especially like your comparison matrix. I'm tired of the reviews that pigeonhole the G series Taurus's because of their affordable cost. Well done.
Thank you Bo A! I appreciate your kind words. I try to be unbiased and let people decide what they think is right for THEM. Thanks for watching my friend and shoot straight!
I have a G2C, G3 and G3X. I love the doublestrike for dry fire practice with iTarget or just with the laser bullet. That doublestrike makes that so much easier to practice without having to rack the slide. The G3 is great for my MCK because it has the manual safety and adds that margin of safety due to the trigger being exposed in the MCK.
Just picked a new G3C up at a gun show a couple weeks ago for $239.95, and I decided also to get the GX4 (@$279.99), and the 856 Ultra-Lite (@$299.00), while at the same show. So, now I'm waiting for the holidays to pass so I can get down to the gun range and put some rounds through them. I also picked up a Ruger LCP II 22lr, in November, that I have yet to fire.
Hi Jeff! Glad you found it helpful. I still use this and the G2C as my carry pistols and frequently practice with them when I go to the range to ensure the pistols are functioning properly and that I'm functioning properly! When you get whatever pistol you decide on, please practice, practice, practice with it, since it will be a different 'feel' from a fuller frame pistol you may be used to. Thanks for watching my friend!
I liked it at $259 and then found it on sale locally for $209! I have been researching a new compact 9 mm and I don't think I can beat that gun for that price. It sounds like one of the rare cases when you can actually get more than what you are paying for. I considered a Walther CCP M2 which felt great in the hand but at $379 it is nearly double the price and I don't think it seems worth the additional cost. Have a great day.
Hi Adam! Thanks for the kind words! Yep, just took this to the range the other day to sharpen up my skills and it's just such an easy pistol to shoot. They really did a good job on that trigger. Hope you can find one at a good price my friend (and the ammo!). Shoot Straight!
You can get these og shields for like 250 bucks now, the single stack ones. That would be the most reliable option under 300. Though I liked my g2c, but it was just so thick and heavy. Carry a shield plus now and it's perfect
Great video, couple comments. Compared to a px4? Have one, different leàguès. Yet I'm really a bottom feeder and I just bought a pawn shop G3 one mag $175. The gun we use to teach beginners/wives/ sisters in law...and leave it in the truck. Such an easy gun to handle, so straight forward, I like the upgrades, thanks
Your video was great, well put together, and you are clearly knowledgeable! I am looking at this pistol seriously, and this has been a huge insight! Ty!!
Hi Chris! Thanks so much for the kind words! It has been a really great pistol and I practice with it as much as I can when I go to the range. As I say in the video, I like having a safety and the placement on this one is very convenient. Thanks for watching my friend, and shoot straight!
I added glock tritium sights and a stainless steel recoil spring only because I have the ss slide and it looks much more appealing than the stock part. I like having the manual safety because its off when Im out and about and on when Im home or somewhere where it is less likely to be needed. And 15rd mags gives it a nice grip while still having good concealment! It checks a lot of boxes and is really hard to beat unless you are brand conscious or a gun snob!
Hi Ah Umm! Thanks for the input here...I agree, with those upgrades it is a very nice CC option and it's not let me down yet when I put it to the test at the range every fifth visit or so just to keep sharp. Thanks for watching my friend!
Itreat all my Taurus pistols the same as my g43x, shield hellcat ect. My GX4XL is built better than my G43X. GX4XL Has a full rail slide and a way better trigger than my higher priced guns. Great video!
Thanks Ron! I agree and have had my Taurus's for many years now, practice with them often, and have had not one issue over hundreds of rounds. Thanks for watching my friend!
The long take up could be a safety factor for a new shooter that comes under a stressful situation. Pulling his gun and putting his finger on the trigger that has a short take up and possibly pulling the trigger and a shot going off when he least expects it. There are a lot of new shooters out there with little to no training and that extra half inch take up could make the difference between a accidental discharge and the real thing. Just a thought.
Hi Thomas! I like that thought very much. My take is that as long as they have PRACTICED and understand that they have that long take up, then they should be comfortable should a situation arise that they'll need to react quickly. Great point my friend and thanks for watching!
Mine came in today. Easy to manipulate the slide compared to my Glocks, Canik TP9 SC and Arex Delta. People say it use Glock sights but the Ameriglo night sights for Glocks doesn't fit, at least the front sight. It's too loose. I had to use a pair of TruGlo night sights for Glocks and the front sight fits snug. I paid $314 and I am good with that. Can't wait to shoot her. Once thing the slide finish isn't overly durable. Mine marred easy but I used a Birchwood Casey Black Touch Up Pen and hit it with s silicone cloth afterwards and it looks much better afterwards, Great little gun!
Very nicely done review. Covered important points well to aid in my purchase decision. Timing and pace of video was good. Again, Nice job on this review! 👍

Let me try this again thank you for the review so have the shield 380 now know my options will check out all of them may go with the taraus g3c for now
Hi Jeff! There are many options out there as I said in the video. I just had already used the G2C so was familiar with the operation and wanted the same for my second carry pistol so I didn't have to think about which pistol I had in my hand. Remember, I also like a safety, so this fit my needs. Thanks for watching my friend!
@@The4GunGuy thank you for your opinion I like a gun with a safety too have not found one yet except for the shield 380 which I do have like to get the taraus g3c when I get the money
HI Larry, sorry for the late reply...This one fell through the cracks! Hope you got your G3C and the capacity met your expectations. Thanks for watching my friend!
@@The4GunGuy Really like the G3C. I have one as well as the G2S. Also S&W M&P Bodyguard .380. The bodyguard gets the brunt of my carry time. But now with cooler weather and heavier clothing the G2S and 3C will get more play time. I really like having the frame safety BTW. Which is why I won't buy a GX4. No safety no carry is my motto
Just a heads up, some G2c kydex holsters will not work. There is a slight difference in the slide, and the trigger guard, that makes some not fit well, and some to not fit at all. I had several G2c holsters, from bake brand manufacturers, that weren’t compatible. If you get a G3 holster, and shave off about a half inch, you have a perfect fit (until they start making more). 👍
Hey N Lee! Thanks for the heads up here my friend! I was fortunate enough to have the holster I purchased for my G2C work for the G3C, but could see where other brands might not. Shoot Straight!
@@The4GunGuy Yes. It's silly to buy expensive things you don't want to lose. You don't always get your weapon back, even if the defensive act was justified. I'm going bro get a 2nd bp9cc.
HI Wade, that's interesting because I ordered the exact same holster as I had for my G2C and the G3C fit perfectly with great retention: Concealment Express IWB KYDEX Holster (Carbon Fiber Black) for Taurus G2C. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Yes it will not fit a lot of hard holsters . I unscrewed my g2c holster , heated it with a hair dryer , folded it around my g3c gun and squeezed . Perfect fit .
I usually carry my 365 or Hellcat but today I got my G3C out of the safe. While a great budget gun that’s hard to beat at its price point, I’d save a couple hundred more & get one of the other 2. With better accuracy & ease of concealment the 365 & HC are superior. JMO. Great video also!
Hey Titan! I believe it boils down to what YOU'RE comfortable with and the confidence you have in your equipment and your skills, so no argument with your logic my friend! Thanks for watching and of course...The great input. Shoot Straight!

Hi Gray! Wow, that's a great deal! And I totally agree with you. My two carries are the G2C and the G3C. Practice with them about once every quarter and they've NEVER jammed or misfired once. Thanks for watching my friend!
I just bought my Taurus G3C locally for $249.99. It came with three 12 round magazines. I have girl hands even though my personal pronouns ( and my genes ) are him/he/hey bastard. The G3C fits in my hands very nicely. Reminds me of how nice my Detonics Combat Master .45 felt in my hand. If you have big, beefy man hands the G3c might feel a little small for you.
My G3c will not feed hollow points. Sent it back, they tested it with fmj and said it was fine. I then polished the feed ramp. Did not help. So, using fmj ammo it’s just fine. Don’t have this problem with my G2c. So it goes.
Hi rcollins1202! I've not had issues with hollow points, but to be honest, I use fmj because I know it will run in the pistol. Thanks for watching my friend!
Thanks for the kind words Rafiq! Just like to give an idea of what else is out there and how you might think of comparing those options. Thanks for watching and shoot straight!
Also, how are they saving money on the sights using steel as opposed to their previous plastic sights? Can’t imagine it costs much to paint 2 more white dots. Front sight only was intentional.
Hi Ole! Not sure how they'd be saving money either on the metal sights. As far as the dots go, many people prefer a single front dot for CCW because you would most likely be very close to your target and therefore only need to concentrate on the "quick dot on target, pull trigger" process, which we should all practice at the range on targets within say 5 yards. Others like the 3 dot setup though, so I believe that you should perhaps try both and see what works for your eyes. If you have black rear sights, you could cut two little dots out of a shoot-and-see adhesive target and place them on the rear sight just to get an idea of what a 3 dot setup might look like...Just a thought. Hey thanks for watching Ole and the comments! Shoot Straight my friend!
Hi Gary! I would recommend that you find a good, polite gun range (indoor to start with) and see if they have any basic classes you could take. Then, use one of their pistols and even after the class, ask if you can rent one or two others (they'll generally do this and then you buy the ammo from them) and see what feels good to you. If you're looking at concealed carry, then this G3C is a very good option, but again, you might find something else that fits your needs. Thanks for watching my friend!
The 4GunGuy I paid $264 out the door after my 10% Law Enforcement Discount at Academy Sports in Orange Park,Florida.Shooters of Jacksonville,Florida tried to SCAM me for $459.99 plus tax the same day and told me the price had went up which as we all know is a lie.The price for the G3C & G3 at Academy Sports is $269.99 with no discounts.I also have the G2C as well so I am blessed to have both of them.I also ordered a 15 round TAURUS magazine and the slide on sleeve last night. For those complaining about the Safety,if you don’t like it then don’t use it.It’s not Brain Surgery.👍🇺🇸
@@1OFGODSOWN Nice buy my friend! And I totally agree with regards to the safety...It's a personal thing and just because a pistol has one doesn't mean you have to use it. Thanks for the great comment and shoot straight!
I don't carry my g2 mill pro because it rusts soo easily. Is the finish any better or do they have a good stainless model? And I also put a keep tinkering trigger in my g2 mill pro which made it an excellent shooter. The restrike capability for these taurus pistols makes them great for dry fire training. You are missing the hellcat on the above chart! With the shield if you need to you can carry it disengaged. It's not going to accidentally disengage itself. Of all the pistols I have the shield is the one 2 teenage girls will fire at the range. Three mags is totally awesome.
Hi Brian! Yeah I'm sure I missed some good candidates, but I try to demonstrate how YOU might do your own investigations and the things to consider for the guns you'll be looking at. I can't say anything wrong about both these pistols and I don't travel out every day so haven't had rust issues. Glad to hear you're teaching your girls to defend themselves my friend! Hi Bill23799! Thanks so much for the kind words, the like, the sub and ringing that bell my friend! The Ruger EC9 and the M&P Shield both fit decently well in the pocket of sweat pants. Due to reason I wont go into, I tend to pocket carry a lot. How owuld the G3c do in that location? My main concern is thickness compared to an EC9,...
Hi Bruce! The G3C is about .2" wider than the Shield, .2" longer, about the same height, and about an ounce heavier, so not that big of a difference. You should be fine with pocket carry and the added benefit of a safety in that situation. Thanks for watching and the question...Hope it all works out for you my friend!
Hi CW! Yeah this pistol does not have a magazine safety which is why is allows a round to be fired without a mag inserted. I feel that if you practice good safety steps this should be a non-issue though...remove the mag, cycle the action multiple times, normal safety steps. Hey thanks for watching my friend!

Hi B Mack! Sorry to hear about your experience. I had the same thing happen just today at a match...dropped two stages due to my rifle magazine jamming..Very frustrating I know. I found (through a top shooter in the country who was there) that my new rifle doesn't like the ammo I had. I've had the same issue with my competition shotgun. All I can tell you is try some different ammo in it and see if that works. Hope it all works out my friend.
@@bmack2938 Taurus also states that there's a 200 to 300 round break in period for the G3. I would try various ammo but keep in mind you need to get the break in before you can know for sure if the gun is realible. Most people shoot a box or 2 and call it "good". I don't/won't carry any gun I haven't put at least 1000 rounds through including the ammo I plan to carry in it.
So correction, most other pistols do not have what you called magazine disconnect. The only pistols that have a magazine disconnect where gun wont fire with magazine out are 22s because they are designed to be handled by kids and those people sensitive of recoil and are likely not familiar with pistols. It's a stupid feature because in a fight if you accidentally drop the magazine your gun is out of a fight even with a round in the chamber. Any reputable firearm .380 and up will not have a magazine disconnect.
Hi BigDog! Thanks for the input. I performed some research and found the following (which represents a very small group I researched) do have the magazine safety: Bersa BP9CC, Ruger lc9s (not the pro), Ruger EC9s model 13211, S&W SD9 VE™ HI VIZ® SIGHTS. Some of these are full or mid size frames, but the EC9s is a carry pistol for example. I totally agree with you that it is a stupid feature for people who know how to operate their firearm. But, for the 3 million+ new gun owners out there since last year, I hope it's the pistol THEY purchased until they really understand how to use the firearm. Thanks for watching my friend!
@@The4GunGuy I think we're on the same page for the most part but the big picture is that the models you researched are niche models not the mainstream pistols that you think of when looking for CCW or home defense gun. My only argument is that most handguns are indeed without a magazine safety specifically because magazine safety is a liability and unnecessary feature for most gun owners, especially new gun owners who need to learn proper gun handling and storage. Especially those who need to learn how to dry fire, change out magazines, rack the slide. Much easier to take the magazine out and dry fire than to use dummy rounds every time. I agree with thumb safety and although I do not shoot competition I prefer to train and carry my p365 with thumb safety. Anyways, I'm rambling.... final point is that there are some niche firearms without magazine disconnect but they are much fewer and not mainstream as the more common option of no magazine disconnect.
I don't know why you are giving the impression that the controls (slide catch, manual safety, mag release) on the G2c are plastic. They are metal. My magnet says so. The sights are plastic but not the controls. Otherwise good video.
@@The4GunGuy The only control that is plastic on my G2c is the trigger and if you count the guide rod end cap along with the sights. All other controls are metal.

The Sig Sauer P365 is very comparable but is smaller, more snappy, less ammo cap and the only real thing the Sig has on it is the night sights stock.
I carry a G2C daily. Great gun.
Me too, adjustible sights are a must..
Great review. The chart listing the specs of similar weapons was a nice feature.. helped my brain visualize the G3C better. Thanks.
Thanks "D"! While I can't fire all these guns I still like to do what I can from a comparison perspective and hope it helps in the decision process. Thanks for watching and shoot straight!
It's just a shame that some of the information on the chart is incorrect.
The best comparison IMO to the G3C is the Springfield Mod 2
I was at the range/gun store a couple of hours ago and seen one of these for $249. I had to talk myself out of buying it, but I think I will get one next pay day. Some of the brand snobs hate, but I like the way these fit in my hand. I have heard nothing but positive reviews about the G2C and G3C.
Hi Dominic! You simply can't go wrong with this pistol! I still love mine and practice with it when I'm at the range. That $249 is a heck of a price. Thanks for watching and the comment my friend!
i have one..ii love it
I'm glad some people are sticking up for manual safeties. That's my preference, too.
Great detailed video! I liked the comparison with other sub-compacts! You made me a subscriber! Looking forward to watching more of your videos!
Thanks for the kinds words, watching, and subscribing my friend!
They weren’t just being lazy with the sights. It’s called a hackathorn style sight, much faster to pick up a good sight picture than with a 3 dot sight. In fact, most competition shooters use them for that reason so it makes sense to use it on a carry pistol where every second counts (like your life depends on it)
Excellent explanation, and I totally agree!
I have G2C and G3C and just love shooting both! Thanks again for a great review!
Thanks Lone Star! Shoot Straight!
Thanks for the comparison. I'm currently paying on my G3c and will pick it up new on the 4th. Got mine for $319 ($348 with taxes)
@@rang123yea5 look up ammo grab I'm seeing ammo for 55¢ per round in 50rd/100rd/500rd/1000rd
But most are 60-70 cents per round.
Not to get political but with Biden possibly being president, democrats possibly getting control of the House, Senate and POTUS and possibly adding more Dems to the court there are real dangers to the 2A and because of that alone ammo is like gold in 2021
Then we have civil unrest in many areas and 12-15 million new gun owners buying ammo, Federal, CCI and Hornady put out official videos stating they are out of ammo but will continue making it and pumping out what they can as fast as they can. They are limited because of laws surrounding covid
That also adds salt to the wounds.
Ask some older gun owners where they get ammo, maybe you have local stores, shop around and try to find good deals. It's just me but I won't pay $40-$50 for a box of 50 rounds
To me that's price gouging (maybe they need to stay afloat) but it's to rich for my broke ass
Check out lakeline Llc for upgrades

I have the older pt111g2 and I love it. I am thinking about one of the g3c.

I would love G3 models in the other popular cartridges!
I love the blacked out rear sight... it makes the front sight pop.
Hi g10s! I totally agree. Shot it at the range yesterday just to keep up with practicing and it ran flawlessly. Still loving this little pistol. Thanks for watching my friend!
Excellent review- one of the best I've seen on You Tube. Straight forward and to the point on what matters.
Looks like a great EDC pistol, great review!!
Its worked for me for a couple weeks now. Upgraded from the ruger lcp 2.
Hey Daniel! Thanks for the kind words. It is a great carry pistol and when I can have 12 in the mag and 1 in the chamber, that's enough for most every situation I may find myself in. Thanks for watching and the kind words! Shoot straight!
@Quickahh i have an appendix alien gear holster and swear by it...
My G2c has been a reliable firearm. My wife just bought the G3c yesterday. Looking for the same reliability qualities in her firearm.
Totally agree with everything you stated Jim. Thanks for watching my friend!
i still carry my pt111 every day,no rust yet,it`s been in about 95 degrees for about 2 months now.
Mine started rusting immediately which is why i relegated it to bedside safe duty.
Nice buys Randy! Thanks for watching my friend!
Thank you. I am seriously considering this gun and I found your review very informative.
Very comprehensive review! I’ve been on the fence but after seeing your video I’m definitely sold!
A really well made video. Great comparisons via charts shown. Will subscribe.
Thanks Jack! Glad you liked my style and comparison. Shoot Straight my friend!
Try putting a g3c t.o.r.o slide on your g2c frame and see what happens it's pretty cool 😎 👌
Hi Dean! Thanks for the feedback and kind words! Yeah, I like the simplicity of the G3C for sure. thanks for watching my friend!
I'm looking at the g3x, because of the full grip, decent trigger, short slide.
Hi Joe! Yeah, I like the looks of that g3x myself and that full grip would definitely help. Thanks for watching!
Glad you like it Reggie! Hope my review was helpful and even if not and you ordered before it, thanks for watching and your comments! Shoot straight!
Get sights from LakelineLLC and you get the screw that fits that front sight correctly.

Hi Jeff! There are many options out there as I said in the video. I just had already used the G2C so was familiar with the operation and wanted the same for my second carry pistol so I didn't have to think about which pistol I had in my hand.
What are you talking about anytime you open a box and find a wonderful gun it's exciting to me😂
Absolutely Allen! Thanks for watching my friend!

Yes. It's silly to buy expensive things you don't want to lose. You don't always get your weapon back, even if the defensive act was justified. I'm going bro get a 2nd bp9cc.
it will not fit g2 holster because of the slide is a little different.i think you could use a heat gun to soften the kydex.

Reminds me of how nice my Detonics Combat Master .45
felt in my hand.
Loved the chart
It's a good choice...mine shoots,very good!😊
I have never owned or shot a gun. Would you recommend this gun for a beginner?

I love my G3C
I've pocket carried my G2C often with a pocket holster. Ensure you get one if you plan on pocket carrying.
Im guessing the reason it will fire without the magazine has something to do with the fact that the trigger is always in double action
Hi CW! Yeah this pistol does not have a magazine safety which is why is allows a round to be fired without a mag inserted. I feel that if you practice good safety steps this should be a non-issue though...remove the mag, cycle the action multiple times, normal safety steps. Hey thanks for watching my friend!
@@The4GunGuy Thank you sir! great video, I really appreciate someone that puts in the work to make a clear video for all of us gun illiterates. I did pull the trigger on this gun. Thanks for all the info!
@@cw4933 Awesome CW!! You won't regret it...great pistol and I love that holster for it as well.
@@The4GunGuy I wish but I live in jersey... so no carry... but the truth is who knows maybe it'll change with acb?
@@The4GunGuy I actual,y like that. even if you lost your Mag , you can single load to defend yourself
Awesome review...what Glock sights would you recommend? I am not particularly fond of the ones it comes with.
Hi E Nieves! Thanks for the kind words! You know to be honest I'm not a Glock guy so really wouldn't know what to recommend from a sights perspective. I'll post a pinned comment and ask others for you OK? I know TRUGLO has some sights you might look into though...I like the pro Orange myself: truglo.com/blog/post/truglo-tfx-tfx-pro-and-tritium-pro-sights-for-the-new-taurus-g3c-pistol
Thanks for watching my friend and Shoot Straight!
Glock night sights and also the XS big dots are good for self defense/combat.
@@bowl816 Thanks Bowl!
Go to lakeline. come you will find a variety of sights there
Went the range with my new G3C and it jammed multiple times. Fiochhi dynamics practice ammo. Not happy at all so far.
@@The4GunGuy That’s what I’m going to try. Personal defense weapon is no good if it jams.
@Max Larson put 300 through it, you'll be good. Get a better gun cleaner. Also .
I'd like to know where you are getting extra mags for these guns for $25-35.
Hi David, go onto the Taurus website and you can buy a 15rnd for $36. GrabAGun has the same mag for $29.09. Thanks for watching my friend!
@@The4GunGuy thanks man
So correction, most other pistols do not have what you called magazine disconnect.
@@bigdog4574 SIG, Glock, major names on this list.
Awesome
Thanks Willie!
I don't know why you are giving the impression that the controls (slide catch, manual safety, mag release) on the G2c are plastic. They are metal. My magnet says so. The sights are plastic but not the controls. Otherwise good video.
Hi RB M! That's interesting because my G2C does have plastic hardware. I wonder if it's the year it was built perhaps? Anyway, thanks for watching!
@@The4GunGuy The only control that is plastic on my G2c is the trigger and if you count the guide rod end cap along with the sights. All other controls are metal.
@@rbm6184 I just double checked on mine and I found that the mag release was plastic, but the safety was metal...Very strange.
Nice presentation but you need to be better informed about the futures on the G3C i like the comparison you did to the others i have a lot of taurus nice guns
Hi Thomas! Thanks for the feedback and for watching!
G3c at Vance for 239$ and then you get a $25 rebate.
I just got mine. Now if I can only find some 9mm to shoot it.
Hi Rang! Yeah, ammo is ridiculous if you can even find it! Hope you can find some soon and have fun with this pistol...it's great!
You can find it online. For example ammoseek. Make sure to choose the ones that have good reviews like 4 or 5 stars and they deliver ammo quickly.
If anyone wants to bad talk your weapon saying it's junk.
Ask them to let you shoot them with it. I bet there's no takers.
Buy what you like and train with it. To each is own.
Hi Dennis! Never heard it put that way! Thanks for watching my friend!
GREAT! Video. I just discovered ya!
Thanks Alexander! Whether you're looking at pistols, long range rifles, or 3-gun stuff, I try to cover as much as I can...Thanks for watching my friend and Shoot Straight!
Taurus G3C vs Springfield Hellcat! I wanna see that
HI Andrew! Yeah I'm going to see if I have any buddies with the Hellcat and then we'll do a side by side. Thanks for the recommendation and for watching! Shoot Straight my friend!
Would like to see that as well
I bought a g2c as my plandemic buy a year and a half ago and still haven't even fired it yet. LOL.
Hey Canopener is it because you can't find ammo or just haven't had the time?
if your g2c holster has scallops the g3c is a forced fit .
Hi Mack! Can you please clarify what you mean by scallops on the holster? Both G2C and G3C pistols fits perfectly in this holster: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DHLACD8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Thanks!

Hi Serdar! Sorry if I wasn't clear...It was the Canick TP9SFx I was talking about there. Thanks for watching!
"From an unboxing perspective it's pretty boring..." Maybe if it was loaded at unboxing it wouldn't be boring?
Ha! Love it! You just gave me an idea...Next gun video I do, I'll open it with a loaded mag AND chamber and we'll see how many comments I get about that! Thanks for the humor Canopener and thanks for watching my friend!
