Loved this Martin ,the colours were so crisp and clear and I do love this pier phil ps debs is sitting with her feet in a bucket of radox after hiking 10 miles every day Brixham to Paignton
Hi Phil. We love Paignton pier as well. I've seen a lot of these " virtual walks " videos & thought I'd have a go as well. Fair play to Debs for doing all that walking. That takes some dedication. 🙂🙂
Martin Pope, you've truly captured the essence of the penny arcade and pier in your video. The colors and smoothness of the footage transport me back to my own childhood memories. Your camera work is effortlessly beautiful, it's like gliding along the pier. I also love the idea of preserving our towns, villages, and cities in a certain point in time through videos like this. Keep up the great work, can't wait to see more! 🎡📹🌊🌞
Lovely vid, I do like a nice Pier. Mum took me down to Paignton for a few days when I was a kid, caught the train from Honiton and stayed in a hotel that had a pool table with a red baize cloth which was really unusual for what must have been around 1980ish. I can't remember where it was though but Paignton always will have a special place in my heart.
You looked like you glided effortlessly along the pier filming that. That's something that I almost done last week, while I was filming the bubbling sand by the pier side. When you placed the camera through the superman cut out at the end, you could see where I live just 250 yards away.
Thanks. The Gopro stabilisation is very good as long as you try not to bob up & down too much. We love the pier at Paignton. That's amazing that I managed to film where you live without even trying. Lol. Thanks for watching. 🙂
Loved this martin, been walking along the cliffs paignton 5 there 5 back every day,and my feet lol ,one toes black.Loved this how did you do it?it seems slowed down but it was not and super smooth and crip,i think more of these should be done to lock our town, villages, citys into a certain point in time, forever on video debs xx 🤗 🤗 💎
Hi Debs. I filmed this at 60fps & then slowed the footage down to 40% to get the smooth gliding along effect. We love these old piers & I thought I'd do a virtual walk video showing this lovely pier. Well done for walking into Paignton everyday. That's quite a feat. 🙂🙂
What a lovely feeling- the penny arcade brings back so many memories. 🙏👍
