Beautiful Bude in Cornwall at sunset.
Very atmospheric mate, just brilliant, best wishes Darren 😀
@@Somersetmanwalking Cheers Daz. 😊😊
Such memories! Was there in 1970's, have a photo of my Sister on that very slide into the outdoor pool! Such is progress, but how I long for the past...
@@robertlambert8719 It was an amazing place for a holiday. We would get do excited when we went. 😊
Wow, this was so beautiful, the colours really popped and the music fit perfectly! 😊
@@JessesGrandDaysOut Thanks. 😊
Very good Martin, nice bit of music 👍
@@pete-c Thanks. 😊
Wow, that’s so beautifully captured 🤩
@@NicolaExplores Thanks Nicola 😊
Nicely shot video 👏
@@straightouttacornwall Thanks 😊
If only those walls could speak Martin 👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes Yeah. They could tell a story or two. 😊
All captured in its full glory, absolutely marvellous! For a brief moment there, i thought that i was watching a feature film starting. Great accompanying musical score for that atmospheric feel.
@@mmwaashumslowww7167 Thank you. 😊
nicely done Martin.
@@atrampinthehills.841 Thank you. 😊
A bloody good cover, which typically shows how the Damned could give a song some legs!
You are right. Its a fantastic version & should of been released perhaps as a B-side.
Fab video Martin, nice to see lots of the carts from Weston were there (gotta love the fire fighter one - nee naw hehe 😁) plus a few which were new to me! Brilliantly captured too!
@@JessesGrandDaysOut Thanks Jessie. I thought it was amazing & I wish I'd gone to the Glastonbury one now as it was the last one. There were some fantastic carts on display. 😊
Hi Martin Brilliant vid, we were there and it was great to rewatch the carts on your film, thanks for sharing., good one
@@pete-c Thanks a lot. I can't believe I've missed out all these years & will definitely be back next year. It was a fantastic night. 😊
Great stuff Mate! is it me or are the floats getting bigger and Bigger?👍👍👍
@@Somersetmanwalking Some of the floats were pretty big but is was very enjoyable. 😊😊
@@MartinPopeFilmmaker came across really well mate fair play to you! best wishes Darren
Hardly Rio but fun😅 Always did my local Ottery st Mary Devon Tar barrell rolling Nov5🎉❤
@@andrewharris1837 It was a lot colder than Rio but great fun.😊😊
That is indeed an old torpedo.
@@Raysnature Wow. Thanks for the info. It would be interesting to find out the story about why it's there. 😊😊👍👍
@@MartinPopeFilmmaker Nothing too exciting. One of the owners of the pub works in the maritime industry (rather appropriately) and collects all things nautical. The torpedo makes a good talking point and an interesting threshold marker. It's one of many quirky pieces he owns.
@@Raysnature Thanks. I was rather intrigued by it. 😊
@@MartinPopeFilmmaker Me too. I still find it amusing six years after moving to North Devon. Highly recommend the pub and hotel by the way (Ancient Mariner and Bath Hotel).
Just got mine...thank you for demonstrating how everything fits.
@@carlupthegrove262 Glad you liked it. I've had my Skyreat case for over a year now & haven't regretted it yet. 😊😊👍👍
Love walking up and around fry’s hill. Nicer in the summer
@@martinsmith1870 It is a great walk & much quieter than nearby Cheddar. It's also near our favourite pub for food. The White Hart in Cross. 😊😊👍👍
This looks great Martin. We have added it to our bucket list for next year. Thanks for making it. How funny that we both shared bus rides this week!
@@NicolaExplores Thanks Nicola. This was actually filmed back in May. I'm just very slow when it comes to editing my videos. It is a fantastic journey & only costs £2 each way. 😊😊
@ I’m the same 😂 Don’t always upload in order, just what I fancy doing. I definitely have some filmed from months ago to make 😅
@@NicolaExplores I've got a walk i did from Portishead to Clevedon in January I've still to edit. I also don't always edit in the order I shoot videos. Some like the carnival video had to go out as quickly as possible otherwise people lose interest. 😊
This bus route has been on my to do list for a few years now - so far I've only used it to get back form Bossington to Minehead. I want to do it when it's running it's extended route to Combe Martin - when it's running this route it runs to the front door of Combe Martin Dinosaur & Wildlife Park which I am dying to go to again!
@@JessesGrandDaysOut Thanks Jessie. That would be a good journey going all the way to Coombe Martin. We haven't been there for a long time. The bus would have to go inland after Lynton because of the difficult terrain after the valley of the rocks. It would go through Blackmore Gate before heading back to the coast at Coombe Martin. It would be a great journey. 😊😊
Good idea to do that journey from the top deck of a bus. So much more to be seen and captured from this beautiful scenic route. I like those cliff railways and the view of the ground shrinking into the distance. North Devon coastline has always been a favourite go to place for holidays in years gone by and doesn't seem to have been spoilt by todays world. Great tour and history guide 👏
Thanks a lot. Yes you are right. There's been little change there which is nice. It must be so quiet in Lynmouth in the middle of the Winter. Being upstairs in the bus was a bonus as rhe views are amazing. I was surprised that the bus was a double decker bearing in mind it had to climb a 25% hill with twisty turns. 😊😊
The torch wasn’t scary 😂 Great film. Very cinematic, very beautifully filmed and inspiring. Never seen so much moss!
@@NicolaExplores Thanks Nicola. The woodlands of Dartmoor are very pretty & usually do have lots of moss. It was tricky filming there but very enjoyable & it's easy to get to. 😊😊
Lovely especially with that soft Devonian burr I not 'erd'for 40 yrs as I live overseas havin grown up in east Devon and visited Dartmoor many times as a child,Army cadet❤😊
@@andrewharris1837 Actually I'm from Bristol but the Devon accent is similar. 😊😊👍👍
This looks so lush and green, beautiful film at the end too!
@@JessesGrandDaysOut Thanks Jessir. Dartmoor is one of our favourite places & we always discover something new when we visit. The terrain was a bit tricky & it wasn't easy trying to get those smooth "cinematic " shots. 😊😊
Great Video as always Martin, what a lovely location, Great stuff! thank you, really enjoyable watch. best wishes Darren👍👍👍
@@Somersetmanwalking Thanks Daz. It is a very beautiful place & so close to the road as well. I think a lot of people miss this when in the area. We only found it recently. 😊😊
Brilliant video love Lyme Regis, beautiful sun rise 👍🏼
@@nevdyer2609 Thanks. Lyme Regis is a lovely place. 😊😊
@MartinPopeFilmmaker no worries, it certainly is 👍🏼
That was an amazing location Martin, one that i had no idea was there. It made for a fantastic cinematic shoot when compiled together at the end. I have never seen so much moss in one place and it made for the most pleasant green scenery. Thanks for your effort into filming this and it turned out quite remarkable.
@@mmwaashumslowww7167 Thanks a lot. It really is a beautiful place. It almost looks like a film set. What I liked about it is that it was easy to get to the first bit. The terrain was more difficult the more you walked into it & I would love to explore the area again next time we visit. 😊😊
Nice vid mate, Burrators a great area. I was hoping you would get to Burrator waterfall as I've never seen it before. I've been through that boulder forest a few times but couldn't find it myself
@@straightouttacornwall Thanks a lot. There is a waterfall at the other end of the bridge next to the road if you drive towards Norsworthy Bridge. Would that be the waterfall you were thinking about? If there was another waterfall after the boulder field then I've never seen it but I would love to visit this area again to explore further. We've done loads of other walks from the reservoir like Sheep's Tor , Leather Tor, Down Tor etc so this made s nice change visiting somewhere new. 😊😊
@@MartinPopeFilmmaker No mate, thats the pipe waterfall. Theres an actual waterfall off the beaten path in the woods. Its on the OS map anyway, I've yet to see if it actually exists! Yeah its a great area Martin, loads and loads of different paths around there
@straightouttacornwall Oooh that sounds interesting. I will have to have a more detailed look around that area next time we are there. 😊😊
Stunning Mate! beautifully Captured! best wishes Darren
Thanks mate. 😊
Wow! Look at that quality of light! Absolutely superb piece of work. Love a slice of Lyme - such an interesting town. Amazing that there were already people in the sea at that time of the morning. Cheers Martin! Take care, Paul
@@westcountrywanderings Thanks Paul. Everytime we visit there are local older people that swim around sunrise so I did expect to see a few people there but it was busier than I thought. Your right the light was really good & I would like to do more of these kind of vids. Cheers Paul. 😊😊
FAB! Happiest days of my life were spent in Minehead Butlins.
@@alij8920 We really enjoyed it as well when we were kids. The monorail was my favourite. So futuristic looking. 😊

How wonderful, Martin. I need to start getting up earlier!!!
@@NicolaExplores Thanks Nicola. I've been wanting to do this for ages. It was only a 10 minute drive into Lyme Regis from where our accommodation was so I went for it & it really was worth it. The light is completely different to what it is later in the day. I'm definitely gonna do this again. 😊😊
@ I don’t blame you. We visited around ten years ago but this makes me want to go back!
@@NicolaExplores We love this area. 😊😊
Lovely sunrise shots Martin 😊
Thanks Jessie. I was suprised at how many people came out to see it but it was a nice way to start the day.
That's awesome Martin - you could be anywhere in the world. A superb sunrise - you just got it in. Lyme Regis is actually very nice. I had to check out where it was - it looks a bit like Monmouth. Loved that arch - I could see the horse and coached coming through it. Well, good going. Mark
@@WyeExplorer Thanks a lot Mark. I've been wanting to do a sunrise video for ages so when we were in Lyme Regis last weekend I set my alarm. It really was worth it. Everything looked amazing in the orange light. 😊😊
@@MartinPopeFilmmaker A pleasure, Martin. You picked the right weekend for it. There was some awe in the horizon.
Lovely place Lyme Regis. I have been there a few times while staying in a caravan in Charmouth. The beach is awesome and you were lucky to catch the sunrise clearly, without it being obscured by cloud. I've tried but never been lucky with a clear sky.
@@mmwaashumslowww7167 Thankd. It really is a magical place at sunrise. The colours are all warm & orange & it certainly was worth getting up early for it. I was surprised to see so many people out so early. 😊

Wow, I had no idea about this festival and am genuinely so surprised by the size of it. How heartwarming that there are so many small producers and food businesses. Definitely something to support and celebrate. We are in Sicily at the moment where local produce is commonplace. I hope we go more back to more of this in England.
@@NicolaExplores It was great Nicola but very busy as you saw. They only have it once a year unfortunately that's why it was so busy. I'm just glad we got their early. Have a great time in Sicily 😊

Great Vlog mate, you know how to make me feel Hungry pal, excellent footage! loved this one as i can't do crowded places myself so you have taken me to somewhere i could never visit, thanks Martin, best wishes Darren
@@Somersetmanwalking Cheers Dar. It was really busy & I just got whatever I could as it was difficult to move around & get the shots I would of liked to get. E😊
It was a nice experience but it did get very busy at the end & that's when I decided I'd had enough. The musicians were from one of the local private schools I think. Maybee they were a bit nervous. 😊😊
The violin kid and piano woman, were playing a tune that I remember from some years back. I can't remember where though but the violin seemed a bit squeaky and weak. Shame that it started to get a bit crowded for comfort in places but good quality foods will draw a large crowd.
Went there a couple of times in the early 70s with my parents. i remember being fascinated by the monorail. Also went to pontins a couple of times. i still have photos of when i was at these. I was born in 66. God bless my mum and dad i miss them lots x
I loved the monorail as well. It looked like something out of a sci-fi movie. Lots of memories for me as well of the holidays we had at Butlins.
