when you visit delhi again please contact with me. will cook bengali food for you. we are that part of india where there is not too much vegeterian. enjoy your trip.
More Saiyan bro..u r so wrong..u tried d wrong place..if u would have visited some localities house ther n would have had good at thr place..u would have understood what Rajasthani thali is..u r out of Ur mind..our food is considered most loved and liked by majority of population in India n abroad too...even Sam said this was d best meal of whole India...bro..don't make judgements on one experience...try different places..thn u Gona understand what marwari food is...it's pure, rich and classy...full of healthy stuffs..may it be carb protein or fats..evrythn is in balance...u r Bengali so u will like thoz cheap rice only..heheh
I was in Jodhpur three years ago and we had a similar multi course Thali in a rooftop restaurant in Jodhpur. Unfortunately, it was in February and it was quite cold rather unexpectedly, so we couldn't fully enjoy the experience. However, as we decided to go completely vegetarian for the whole 14 days that we were in Rajasthan, we were spared the Delhi belly experience on our very first trip to India!
That is really cool to hear! Yeah, I think especially in Rajasthan if you're thinking of going vegetarian it is really quite easy and a good idea in many ways.
What I have noticed is that the Indian food in India is much better than Indian food in Indian restaurants in UK. Even though Indians run Indian restaurants in UK but still I found the same dish in India much better.
Dude you are so epic. Watched you in David'sbeenhere... More humane and innocent... Truly loved your food reaction straight from your heart, no drama. Thanks for trying out Indian food
yes, my friend who I am currently in India with has been coming here for 22 years gets really annoyed that everyone, even the drivers are calling them Tuk Tuk's
why would anyone dislike this video? its mouth watering! and being indian myself i dont know much about rajasthani cuisine except that it requires a lot of finesse to cook. think gonna explore it more 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Hey guys, I am in Pushkar now but was in Jodhpur a couple of days ago and on your recommendation we went to Jahnkar for dinner, we sat on the rooftop terrace and watched the sunset on the fort. I ordered the Rajasthani thali, it was so delicous but HUGE! that one with the cashews is a kind of desert bean and the one that is kind of like pasta is papad mixed with 'stuff', it was all so delicious. Thanks!
Next Trip. Kesar Da Dhaba in Amritsar. I've travelled the world too, but I think thats the best place for North Indian Food in the world. Next, you guys need to visit South India, Kerala, Karnataka etc. Food is very very different in all the different states in India. You gotta try all.
Thank you very much for those suggestions! I (Sam) visited Amritsar back in 2010. I loved going to the Golden Temple and also watching the changing of the guard ceremony at the India-Pakistan border. We hope to visit South India at some point in the future.
This is all in Amritsar Kesar Da Dhaba for "Chhole Bhature", Bharavan da Dhaba for "Maah Daal and Parauntha", Kundan for "Goat Curry and meat Naan", Kulcha Land for "Kulche Choole", Makhan Fish for "Amritsari Fish", Pal Dhaba for other meat items. off course Lassi various places
what you pointed at 5:15 is veg called as 'singri' and its dried .. as Rajasthan is desert .. many veggies are dried to be used in seasons when it can't be grown ..
I am an Indian and I am sitting here with my mouth watering watching you guys eat. Not to brag, but Indian food is indeed delicious and my favorite cuisine. I am so glad you guys are enjoying our food! Hope you also try the south Indian food like sambhar, idli, dosa, upma etc.
Basically we combine our food and eat.. we eat rice/biryani with any of curry like shahi paneer/dal(lentils) or curd. It increases the taste of everything! If you visit jaipur do come to "chaukhi dhani" you will get amazing Rajasthani food!!
Thank you! This was just such a wonderful restaurant. I wish we hadn't discovered it on our last day...lol That is cool to hear about the salted lassi. Where is the best one you've tried?
The best one was at this really run down dirty restaurant in an alleyway on the Gold Coast, Australia. Yeah I know, not in India unfortunately, but the food was delicious there ! sadly the restaurant closed a few years ago :(
hey. ...if ur still in India .. then please travel to the southern part of the country... u will surely love the place . people .. food and almost everything ... so please do come here...
come to amritsar guys its got an endless list of places to eat at.just like hydrabad is a foodies heaven in south amritsar is foodies paradise in north and i wont be surprised if its the best in india.kesar da dhaba, bhrawa da dhaba, makhan macchi wala, beera chicken, neenos, gyan di lassi, monu kulcha and soooooo many other places.you guys need a week to go to all those places
thank you for making such a wonderful video about indian food, you guys are very generous and kind hearted, if u ever visit bangalore, ur always welcome to stay at my house, thanks
The desserts you guys tried... the rasgolla is mainly a Bengali sweet from Calcutta. So is the rasmalai . They both are made from some Indian version of cottage cheese. Gulab Jamun is pretty common and you will almost find it in all Indian buffet spreads in US & Canada as a dessert option.
It's nice to see Western ppl taking up interest in Indian culture.. Nice work guys, love the way you present the entire show with smile and so much jovial nature. Keep up the good work..Oh, and that'd be what Indians call salad(fresh veggies) and lassi is curd and sugar in a smoothie maker with a lil bit water. The bajre ki roti, looks amazing here. :)
White round shape Rasgulla it is Ras + gulla = Juicy sweet syrup + ball Dumplings (made out of cottage cheese) Brown GulabJamun it is Gulab + jamun = Rose (rose water scented syrup) + Jamun (indian fruit - not actual fruit but the size of the jamun) Ras Malai it is Ras+Malai = Juice (Milky Juice) + malai (Cream - When full fat milk is boiled at a high temperature a thick layer of cream is formed at the top).
Guys a few things yoghurt is always served with Indian food because it clenses your pallet with every bite, reduces the heat and adds and additional layer of flavour to the spices in the food. Deserts - all the deserts you had were made of cottage cheese minus gulab jamun . the syrup isn't just sugar but a mix of water, Rose water, cardamom and sugar. Incase you find it too sweet , you can squeeze the ball of extra syrup and eat it ....that's how it is supposed to be eaten. Rasmalai - isn't bread but cottage cheese and is made with variations depending on what part of the country you eat it .
Thank you very much! We decided to eat vegetarian and it was really easy to do so but you can also eat meat as well. That sounds awesome! I hope you have a great trip :)
We are following you around. Just got back from Lima last month. Too many places to eat so we gave Bembos a miss but we see you know you way around a burger.
There r so many veg dishes.. U will not need non veg 1. Briyani 2. Pav bhaji 3.chole bhature 4. Dosa, idli, vada 5. Parathas Many types of thali rajisthani, gujrati... Street food.
That food looked delicious! well it seemed that the birds didnt think that the price was important (bc they didnt stop singing at the end of the video)
such a nice blog, description of thali food , i love indian thali. virasat restaurant is one of the best restaurant in jaipur which represent the rajsthani culture and also divided into four categories swarn mahal, sheesh mahal, rajwada and bajot shiveer.
Oooh, that is a great question and not an easy one to answer. In terms of people approaching us to chat and help we had great experiences in Taiwan, Nepal and Bangladesh.
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos it is actually paneer! the same thing you had at McDonalds! it can be had in desserts as well as well as in mains.
I wish i was there to help you with the food/ deserts name and also to acknowledge you the best way to enjoy the indian meal. If you find a dal/ sabji spicy you can add a spoon or so of curd in it and you'll find the taste a bit mild. stay blessed !
guys!! I love the way you appreciate India!!!! and orange tshirt looks so cool. I am in uttranchal and would suggest you guys to visit himachal in your next visit. we love watching your vlogs and you both are amazing. goodluck.
Do visit Northeast India (Assam) I originally m from Rajasthan.. Currently living in Assam.. Here you will find intresting taste.. its a promise.. If you come here try bamboo shoot curry, bamboo pickles, Asaam tea etc.. lot more And also do travel Meghalaya (Its a Hilly area)
You guys have helped me find a restaurant in the North if/when I visit Rajasthan. That T-shit is super cool, if you remember please add the name of the store where you got those tshirts from.
Thank you! That is great to hear. You can get the shirt from here: Mehrangarh Museum Shop and you can also order it online if you don't visit in person.
hey guys i'm sorry, i'm new to your vlog...but ya i did like the video👍👍👍...one question though, did you guys have Dal Baati or not???? coz that is a true authentic rajasthani food, and i love eating it whenever i get the chance...
as always...very nice vlog... and if un future you order thali and if you are allergic to any dish or you dont like it, then you can ask them to replace it with your fav one... thats another adv of having a thali..✌✌
Hey, guys, I think you missed the tallest hill station in India. it is called "ABU" very beautiful place in Rajasthan. but there is always next time. come soon. Thank you.
I am from India ,i avoid Rajasthani food too spicy . Always ask for less spicy dishes or places to eat . It will help . Another thing that would help is to get curd with food . It will help you eat spicy food . You should try food from places that are good to eat daily ,you would find them . Best of luck .
It's a nice video but I must say that the bread was way too dry, in fact it should be a bit crunchy on the outside (given that it was a tandoori roti) a bit say gooey/soft on the inside
Sam could give Mark Weins some serious food bliss face competition there!
Hahaha...thank you! I'd still put my bets on Mark though ;)
but the "mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmh" has no competition
Spoo P I thought the exact same thing! Mark Weins is a huge competition for the foodgasm face!
Spoo P woh mark rocks
Yup... i second that
GULAB JAMUN! yaaasss. my gosh they're the most amazing dessert.
We love our sweets as well...haha
I am Indian and I hate it.. society has already rejected me calling me defected Indian.
+Ankit tiwari haha ...no problem but most of love gulaab jamun..
Why not...
ghee is clarified butter. that is curd.
Oh! Our mistake. Thanks for correcting us.
when you visit delhi again please contact with me. will cook bengali food for you. we are that part of india where there is not too much vegeterian. enjoy your trip.
Thank you! That is a wonderful offer. I hope we'll revisit Delhi again soon :)
Bengali food is the best in the world! Then again, I might be a little biased because I'm Bengali :)
India is best place for vegetarian delicacies.

Can sure eat well and care for living too.
Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
I was in Jodhpur three years ago and we had a similar multi course Thali in a rooftop restaurant in Jodhpur. I think maybe the local food in India is more traditional and authentic I suppose.
Oh boy that food looks amazing! I are most people in Indian vegetarian ? Just curious. Thanks for another great video guys
70% of Rajasthan is vegetarian.
***** ooh ok thank you so much
Thank you! Yes, according to our research in Rajasthan it is 70%.
Thank you for confirming that. We got the same result with our research.
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos thank you so much
Dude you are so epic. Watched you in David'sbeenhere... More humane and innocent... Truly loved your food reaction straight from your heart, no drama. Thanks for trying out Indian food
Ah, thank you very much! I was so excited to go back to India with David. Our videos will be coming out starting Friday.
It's called Auto Rickshaw not Tuk-Tuk. Tuk-Tuk are similar transport 3 wheelers in Thailand. Btw enjoy the trip!
Ah, this is very true! Sorry it is just out of bad habit we call them tuk-tuk. You are correct. Is the short form 'auto'?
U can say auto or autorickshaw
yes, my friend who I am currently in India with has been coming here for 22 years gets really annoyed that everyone, even the drivers are calling them Tuk Tuk's
They were marketed as AUTORICKSHAW...
It’s called auto rickshaw in the subcontinent but it is the same as a tuk tuk.
why would anyone dislike this video? its mouth watering! and being indian myself i dont know much about rajasthani cuisine except that it requires a lot of finesse to cook. think gonna explore it more 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Thank you very much! We sure enjoyed our meal.
Ooh I love rajasthani food. Ker sangri and choorma are my favourites. The 'rooty greens' was ker sangri.

It will help you eat spicy food . You should try food from places that are good to eat daily ,you would find them . Best of luck .
What was the third thing they ate? At first I thought rasmalai, but then it looked like a combo of chhena toast and shahi toast. What exactly was it?
Try Gujarati thali. They will bring you fresh hot plain rotis and sweet one also one by one and all veggies also. Plus pickle and papad and farsan
Thank you! Really appreciate the suggestion :)
Isn't this a repeat of your older video?
We did include some clips of this meal in our Jodhpur guide but only a small %. Sorry for the repeat factor though.

It's a nice video but I must say that the bread was way too dry, in fact it should be a bit crunchy on the outside (given that it was a tandoori roti) a bit say gooey/soft on the inside
Thanks for sharing that.
