- YES, I know you don't drive a bike, you ride one. But as a car guy, I don't understand the difference. Andreas Preuninger was according to my knowledge involved in leading the historic project creating Harley Davidsons' best bike in history. Taking the VR 1000 racing engine and baptize it in Flacht by the Porsche priests gives this bike a soul beyond any other bike.

Great video Janko and an unbelievably good looking bike. I just bought a Muscle and I'm wondering how you got the original rear fender so low. Did you just replace the shock absorbers? Or did you have to make other changes? I want my bike to look like this :-). Thanks for a short reply!
Main part is the air suspension but I did also modify the stock registration plate holder. I cut out a new lines manually to make it shorter. Congratulations to your Muscle.

Without a doubt the best bike ever made by Harley Davidson. Its hard to quantify what makes the VRod so special to ride and it is no doubt due to a number of factors. All I know is I will always have mine.

Hi Janko. Thanks for this refreshingly different video. Well done and enjoyable as always. Even more so, as I've been riding motorbikes since I was 5 years old. Current ride is a Harley Davidson Road King classic. Love the connection to Mr. Preuninger/Porsches GT division. For that reason alone I should consider the V-rod and paint it to match my upcoming GT4, in Lava Orange! HOWEVER, I cannot afford time off for rehab...LOL...so true. Beautiful bike. Nice job. Ride safe and enjoy!

I drilled new hols for the tachometer and the clip-on is OEM equipment that you will find at a HD dealer.

On your suspension is that the highest level or does it go higher. I like the height of it. What kind of handlebars are those.. I seen that you dismantled the front forks while building. What was the reason?

Awesome bike dude...I'm sad because Harley Davidson stopped the production of this beautiful bike...It was a mistake in my opinion.
What's left after this? The new Fxdr could be an evolution?

The VRod is not the more comfortable bike but packs all I want from a motorcycle, push, fun to ride, extremely reliable, magnesium rims, fat back tire, ABS, excellent clutch, and awesome good looking, is no 1, no even 1 who dont mention the good looking. Still the more powerful stock Harley up to this days, the Milwakee 117ci packs 93HP and the Vrod muscle 125HP, a engine need to be water cooled for push those ponies and Porsche put some DNA in the engine as well, probably I will never sale it.

When you switched to aluminum wheels, did you notice a positive difference in handling due to less gyroscopic forces allowing you to lean faster?

I put 300 mi. on one and didn`t care for it. Was constantly trying to shift up another gear after being in 5th. 5,000 rpm @70mph. It needs 7 gears.

If hd stop building the old shit and bring back production of the V-Rod and its derivatives I'm sure it will prosper as the young buyer will love them and the the boring old farts can take the old iron and be buried with it.
