They are including the drinks package in a lot of Cruises from the UK atm. But at the end of the day there are no free lunches aka you probably paid more for your cruise. My last cruise I spent £90 for my drinks and coffees the drinks package would have cost me £700. My wife does not drink So we got the soda package we probably just about broke even on that because like the alcohol package everyone in the room has to have it . A guy sat next to me had bought two premium drinks packages and his wife also did not drink, but because there was a number of drinks limit on this other cruise line he was drinking her allowance as well.
First time cruiser going on Seascape this summer and this was so helpful thank you! When we do drink, it’s only beer and we’ll have our children with us so it’s gonna be the Non-alcoholic package. It’s more cost effective to buy drinks
Draft Heineken is good enough for me! I’ll buy one or two nice cocktails on my own. Also, I cruised MSC a pre-COVID and their house wine was fantastic. I always board MSC with very low expectations. I am there for the weather and price. I have always found their service horrendous but you get what you pay for. Ships are beautiful.
My dad and I were on MSC virtuosa in March and got the easy drinks package. For me it was for the speciality coffee and cocktails. For dad the wine, cocktails and whisky... Unfortunately halfway through day three dad got a sickness bug, then 12hrs later I got it. We were confined to our cabins until we left on last day. So we couldn't make the most of the package in the end. Water and electrolytes were the main drink ....
MSC changed their policy. You can order a drink thats superior / premium in price to your easy or easy plus package and simply pay the difference on that drink 😊🎉
Yes, on Royal Caribbean and Carnival I always get I not alcohol package drink by myself. No one in the room has to get it. I have been doing that for years. You were Royal Caribbean offers Internet and drink package together which is like $200. Thank you Royal Caribbean.😊
@@ByteSizeCruises oh, there are plenty of American websites that are atrocious as well. It’s really the companies that have a lot of money. They have no excuse to have horrible websites.
Thx. I find MSC to be the most accommodating with water. We had the east plus once and the top tier once and in both we had aqua panna or Pelegríno all the time included
Here is an interesting point. In this video, you are talking about the drink packages, and you mention that the total price for the drink package you choose includes drink gratuities. The issue is when you pay for your cruise, part of the total price is the gratuities for the whole trip. So, is this not a double gratuity? If the gratuities are included in the total cruise package, how can they charge another gratuity in the drink packages?
The cruise gratuities are for staff members like cabin steward, dining room staff and behind the scenes staff. Drink gratuities go to bar staff and dining gratuities go to specialty dining staff. Not saying it's right, just saying that is what they say its for
They have a zero alcohol package for kids where they can do mock tails. You can do ice coffee for free but speciality ones like a late etc are not included
Ok, here is my question that no one has been able to answer for me. At Royal Caribbean, I got a non alcoholic drink package online for my son, who doesn't drink alcohol. I then called Royal caribbean and was able to get a premium alcohol package for me , even though we were in the same room. Could it be done on MSC .
All of the cruise lines have the same policy that if guests are 21 and older in the same room you must all have the drink package if one person does. But if you call and mention someone is sober or pregnant etc they will allow you to purchase the non alcohol package for them. That’s pretty standard across lines. Just depends who you speak with.
Hey! so easy plus means we can get drinks and cocktails in the specialty dining or is it just giving a discount on the wine bottle? Also might be a dumb question but im assuming all the bars on the vessel are part of the all-inclusive drink package deal right? Thanks for you help! Great video :) sailing in a week on MSC meraviglia to the Bahamas.
@@ByteSizeCruises Thanks for the response. Last thing is when you made a reservation for the specialty dining, did you have the option to do it before your sail date? I just heard it fills up pretty fast and some people had to ask for refunds because they were never able to get a seat.
@@projectvr3 unfortunately no. To be honest on port days it was empty and on sea days only ocean cay was really crowded. I recommend going as soon as you board though just ti be on the safe side

Absolutely correct. There’s no way I could drink $90 per day worth of drinks. I’d probably have 3 drinks a day.
