Air France has been present in Canada for more than sixty years. On 2 October 1950, 415 years to the day after Jacques Cartier discovered Montreal, Air France launched its Paris - Montreal - New York route by Lockheed Constellation 749, with 2 technical stopovers in Shannon and Gander.

In the futur between Paris and Montreal, Air France will use the the Airbus a 380 and probably the a 350 or the 787 Dreamliner. But also between Paris and Montreal Air France have to face the competion from Corsair, Air Canada and Air Transat. I hope on this route Air France will succeed. Its touhg to say when Air France will stop definetely using a 747 on the CDG-YUL route because when AF is withdrawing the 747 from YUL, they are putting back several months later.
