Babies recognize their mother's heartbeat when held by her,snd her voice also, from being inside her! I miss Sears, Roebuck stores!! And Montgomery Wards!! My brother had the football game too. It was metal, and the players had a magnet on the bottom, when turned on it vibrated, and players would slide across the board.
Merry Christmas Brenda, your childhood memories are just one of the reasons I love watching you and hear your stories. When our mothers and grandmothers were alive we talked about our memories. It’s delightful and you keep telling me everything you recall. I love you so much, because you are a living legend to us whose parents and grands are gone. When something difficult to get through is hard, and all your family is far away in other states, I turn to your channel on RUclips, and seeing you warms the room, you are so transparent honest and true it’s more about getting through life in a world that’s changed so much I don’t recognize America. You warm our hearts so much, I want you to know how much your life stories aren’t much different than us 70’s 80’s and 90 year olds. We love you so much, and late in life has a new hero, it’s you. Don’t ever think you are talking to no one. I will always be turned on to hear you. You are a gift to us, never forget us watching you. We love you. ❤ Phoebe
I remember the Sears catalogues and the train case. I got one from my great aunt after she passed away in the 1980's. I wish I still had it! Thanks for all the memories! And we said and still pray the same prayer.
Brenda,I'm 70 yrs old and remember all that. Kids today wouldn't know nothing about all that. I'm very happy with what I get. Thank God for all thatI I get now
In 1965 I remember getting a Mickey Mouse record player with yellow 78 records. When I opened the box from under the Aluminum Christmas tree, I recalled the phonograph's smell. Right away I knew what kind of gift it was. To this day, I still have those gifts. Love Ya!
You bring back a lot of memories. I remember the catalog you are talking about. Have a blessed Christmas. Enjoy your kitchen shows. Keep smiling! You are a blessing!
Our mom used stockings for us for St Nick's day. She filled them with the same items you mentioned along with a box of thin mints! What a special memory! ❤

Hi Brenda I was born the same year as you I do remember the big sears catalog my wish list was alway a new baby doll and after I got older I asked for a pen and pencil set and gloves. I liked the smell of apples and oranges that scented the house that my father bought for Christmas and kept them in a box under the table really good childhood Christmas memories ❤ it didn’t take alot to make us happy back then!
The biggest memory for me is when Mom got her first dishwasher. You had to hook it up to the sink with a hose. That was so exciting, but I found out that loading and unloading it was a real job.
I'm five years younger that you. Santa brought me a Tiny Tears Doll one time. Another time he brought a Mickey Mouse watch. You brought back a lot of memories. We also had a Christmas village set up under the tree. It had a train that went around the outside of the village and all kinds of little houses in the village that lit up inside the houses, and a mirror that was a pond, and little people lingering around and sitting on benches. Lol, my cat Muffy used to like to go in the village and take a nap. I remember my mother telling the cat to scat. Thanks for jarring our memories. We love you Miss Brenda..............................
I sure do remember that sears catalog. My grandmother had all of them. I was born in March of 1947. I really enjoy your channels and listening to you. God Bless you Brenda. 🦋💖🦋
I got that walking doll too. It was the first doll I got that did something, normally I just got regular baby dolls it was a great surprise. Thank you for sharing your Christmas memories with us, they really warmed my heart. ❤🙏🏻
Omg, If I had that catalog I would sit for hours and look at every page. I recognized so many things as you were going through it, great memories. One of my favorites presents was a battery operated mixer, I used to make milkshakes with it. I loved the smell of books, crayons, Easter candy, paste (my friend would eat it, lol)etc.😊❤🙏🏻
Brenda... I love watching you cook, and love your aprons. You are the sweetest person, and I enjoy your accent. I live in Pittsburgh, they say we have our own accent. I can see you love Christmas. Wishing you a very blessed christmas.

To this day I still love the smell of books. Loved when the Sears Xmas catalog came. Today it’s all about instant gratification; don’t think kids have much to look forward to.
Hi Brenda. My favorite Christmas gift i got when i was a child was a metal dollhouse. It had a porchlight that would actually come on. I played with it so much, i wish i still had it.
We only got some new clothes one time a year and that was when school was ready to start. I got allot of shoes because the shoes kept wearing out so mom found some oxford shoes. I didn't like them because they went stylish but they did last a long time .
Love you so much❤ I see Shepherding Outdoors alot on your videos. My maiden name is Shepherd and that is associated with your son in law, so I don't know if you are a part of his videos.
