Yup went to Canada on a fly in bear hunt guide said had 35 stands and bait sites . 3 hunters .first afternoon he sent me to a stand .put the bait out then never once before except for previous seasons? He says leave your bow on the ground and climb up that stand and make sure it's still sturdy ? 7 days never ever seen a single bear .

Had a bad experience last year as well, Ohio, Widerack outfiitters he took me out of my stand after the first day and a guy he liked more got to sit my spot the very next morning and killed a nice buck that i had seen the first day. To say i was pissed would be an understatement. Garbage outfitter would never recommend or return.

I went on a guided fishing trip in NY State a couple years ago !!! This guide was THE WORST I had ever been with !! It even started bad . He was complaining that if we didn't want to go , he would go home . Once out in the water , all he did was criticize us and he wanted to start a fight with all the fisherman on the banks of the river . THAT TRIP WAS AWFUL !!!

Easy to avoid, don’t do guided hunts.

I've never used a guide but whenever I'm hunting with other guys we have a set of rules about disturbing other hunters we don't come to where I'm at I don't come to where you're at you have your travel route I have my travel route.

I had the exact same experience with a well known outfitter in Mexico. It was very obvious

Why not expose the service by name. I'd literally be asking for a refund after day 1 and go home.

It's tough to prove what he's unhappy with. I got a full refund because my guide was breaking laws and talking really poorly to me on text message. I didn't even have to say a word. He knew he was wrong.

@@kylemartinson722 I'd actually just be more interested in exposing the name so people were at least aware. I mean if the dude is shady like that with a pro, then how badly does he treat us peasants lol.

I went to kansas with a big outfitter last year. He was a clown. Didn't know shit about deer hunting at least not the pre rut.... I made it 2 and a half days. Then I went to public land and had a blast. Fuck guides for hunting the things that you already understand the process.

All you can do is let him know you are upset and why and leave him a bad review on his website. Its unfortunate that anyone is that dumb.

Real hunters are DIY on public land or private with permission. Fk outfitters, filming , baiting, trail cams , etc etc etc 🤠

I hear what your saying but guided hunts are fun. It's ok if its not your cup of tea, but lots of folks enjoy the harvest and that's what they have time for.

I see both sides to the argument.
But, are you really telling another grown man to “try harder” when you’re proudly rocking a 125” deer you shot with a crossbow?
How is that an example of trying hard in anyone’s language?

More than welcome to come film and hunt my place in Alabama. I’m not a guide and I can’t guarantee you’ll kill or see anything but there are some nice bucks on my place. I do more trapping than hunting so I see them a good bit riding my place to check traps. Won’t cost you anything but time and fuel to get here. Lemme know if you’re interested.
