For me it seemed time based. I've been following forum posts for hours trying to figure it out but when he explained what the script actually does I made sure to press play on the game within 5 seconds of running the script in powershell and it finally worked. I hope this can help
Hi everyone!! If this solution doesn't work for you like it didn't for me, I posted another way on my channel 🙏 happy gaming! Great video and tutorial btw though! Glad it worked for some people 😊✨️
Hi, it doesn't work for me... "invalid operation : the property 'processor affinity' cannot be found on this object. Verify that the property exists and can be set"
Thank you so much! I'm so grateful for this info you can't even imagine. I was trying to download the game for 3 days and 2 nights. I wanted to give up of your method didn't work but it did! Thanks a lot!!!!
I had the same problem when I tried to run powershell directly from the script but if I open powershell on my computer and copy the script in then it worked for me!
you have to start the game while this command window is open like the video says. It's not meant to stay open. It's just meant to support the startup of the game.
@@lauraoedendorfer3773 The way I did it was open the file with notepad and copy it, then go to your search bar in the bottom left corner and search/open "Windows Powershell". Then paste it inside the program and press enter. Then launch the game while it's still open. Hope this helps.
yes it has to do with the hardware architecture of the processor. I had win 10 and win 11 on my old system and it worked. New system with win 11 and I ran into this. That's the main reason, I made this video.
I try to run it with Powershell and the script opens for a millisecond then closes again... so I don't have enough time to press play on the game. Help?
I don not have the answer to this as this is not my script. I found it and modfified it. I would assume, that it does as it changes the way, the processor works with the application
I’ve bought this ca 1 year ago and I was only allowed to play in Englisch ( want it in German ) so I’ll played 20 hours in englisch- yesterday I want to install it again but it doesn’t works-.- I can’t install this, many other users has the same probs and EA knew it but there aren’t any helps… I hate it 😢😂 it would be so funny if it Wouldn’t be sad
@I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. I bought The Sims Medieval DVD, but was also able to register the game th the code to my EA account. My Sims 3 game loads just fine - I can load from the Sims 3 launcher and from EA app. But when I run the script you provided and launch after the prompt, the play button greys out and never launches. It ties up the app for at least 30 minutes so that I cannot run another game, but if I try to close the app it reads that I have to close the sims medieval game first...help?
sometimes games get stuck in the background without being able to see if it's running. If you go to your task manager you can usually find it there. There you can close the game and try to launch again. there's even a chance that your game is running fine, but you need to maximize it in the task manager. idk why or how that happens.

it won't run with powershell for me...

Unfortunately it's not working for me on Windows 11. The script just crashes.
Thank you so much! This fixed it for me :)
The odd thing is it worked on my Windows 11 before. (One that I upgraded from a Windows 10.)
It is probably just the hardware.

Does this script also work for just running from the game disc install?
I can’t redeem the game through Sims3 or Origin or EA.

So once the script is run it will re-enable the cores of my cpu ?
I am not an expert but it's more about how the CPU is allocated for the application you start while the script is active
How To Download For Free? Can You Make Tutorial?
How do I enter these? I am confused
you run it via powershell. It's a basic tool in your windows
What cpu do you have?
Thank you so much 🤍🤍
Thanks, bro!
Thank you for this!

You are very welcome
