Slight correction on anything Prismatic it's advantage is that gives the same base shield density as the size above. So a 7AP is equivalent to a 8A. Recharge is dependent on shield density, so a Biweave will recharge at the same rate for a given density. Often, to get a faster recharge you need to turn off. shield boosters, or you do the ship restart out of combat and get 50% back immediately.
I have an alt in Zemina for the mining sales bonus, the slave trade, and for glory to the empire! The mining lance sucks at 1/3 the rate of mining of the size 2 mining laser. Ironically, if you get an allied reputation with Thorwald mining corporation, you can get an even better small size laser that is pre-engineered to go longer distance and run cooler than the mining Lance.
I've become a little jaded with this new PP2.0 and dropped out after level 4. To me it's become the next new "grind". We fought hard against the grind and were ecstatic when FDev removed most of it with the new mats adjustment. Now however, many players seem to be embracing this new grind, the "Merit grind", they're out there grabbing up as many merits per hour as possible. There's a ton of video's, forum posts etc. as to how to rank up as fast as possible using various methods. I'm thinking as soon as most players unlock all the pew pew's and perks, the true intention behind PP2.0 will become a distant memory and it'll become just like the old PP1.0... Forgotten. I'm pretty sure FDev never meant for players to go from level 1 to level 100 in two weeks, maybe I'm wrong but to me this is just a new clusterfuck for Elite.
That says more about some players than the system. players should just pledge and play the game like normal, merits will flow slowly over time and the fact you have dropped out sounds like you were chasing merits but got frustrated at the lack of pace
Mining I am highly interested in the old way of mining is 3 years ago. New way is Zamina and Kane. I chose Kane, as the 50%is Zamina's 40%. Thanks Ricardo for doing this.

@@the4thj yes but you have no slaves!?!
Torval Arguably has the strongest trade bonus in the game, as the mined commodity bonus also works on all metals and minerals bought from markets.
@@maxb2227 mining is her bag
Honestly you have to support whomever is your PP figurehead in you Squadron home systems.
"Why did you pledge to Zemina?"
"To slow down the territorial expansion of Aisling"
"Understandable, have a nice day"
Great video though.
