Purchased an OEM Jetta mirror from Garry's Auto Recycling in Crestview Florida on EBay. Great seller, great video. We got it installed quickly and easily. Saved time and (the expense) that it would have cost if I took it to the VW dealer. Thank you so much.
Man, your mirror looked identical to my current busted mirror. I got the car like that about 2 years ago. Just had some body work done so now the broken mirror bothers me 100x more. This video was perfect and now i know it won’t be a huge pain to do.
Where did you source the replacement mirror from? Did yours have the blind spot monitor? I'm getting an error on the dash ever since the mirror broke off, and I'm wondering if that will go away as soon as the mirror is replaced.
I got my replacement from a local junk yard. They only had a silver one. I still need to get it painted haha. But it did the job. Yes, mine has the blind spot detectors. Although, I didn’t get any errors on the dash.
I used your instruction video to do this on the passenger side, Thank you for doing this video! Does this same process work the same on the drivers side too?
Thank you! I got the mirror from a local junk yard. Off a 2019 VW Jetta. I had to call around. You can get an unpainted mirror from VW directly, but it will cost significantly more.

I need to know where you got the T30 wrench piece. Going to store a third time First T30 was too fat and wouldn’t fit 2nd is too short. Where did you get it??? Thanks

I went to a local junk yard and bought the part there. You can get directly from VW, but it’s more expensive.

How do I remove the connector that get stuck inside the door?
You should be able to just pull it out of the door using your hands or a plastic trim removal tool. Then it slides onto the door panel

I didn’t have someone to record at that point. It’s pretty easy to do. Start from the bottom and it pops right off
