In Bengaluru, BMTC dropped the idea of double decker buses because Bengaluru is hilly, congested roads and another important reason was Bengaluru's Avenues. Trees had to be cut which was a big no. That old pic of one bus also ran on select routes of traffic less old Bangalore. I don't think it is suitable for Bengaluru but Mysuru can used them. Karnataka SRTC Mysuru Division should look into it.
Trivandrum has double deacker buses for public transport from the 70s. By the end of 90s, they were scrapped. But then in the early 2010s, KSRTC again bought 2 double deacker buses for Trivandrum for general public transport. One of them is used in Kochi and One is still used in Trivandrum. And an old one from the 90s is also used for tourist purposes. The photo that you mentioned as Bangalore is from Kerala.

Trams can be used in cbd areas, light rail and suburban rail can bring people in to the cbd from the outskirts, I've seen examples of suspended trains used as mass transit for hilly areas, mono rail can be used to connect touristy areas. All different modes of transit have a purpose, it's about using them properly. I'd suggest transit youtubers like RMTransit and Not Just Bikes for further investigation.

Ahmedabad Surat Vadodara mein bhi double decker buses chala krti thi ..I have traveled alot In double decker buses in Ahmedabad ...but u won't mention Ahmedabad Vadodara or surat..for u India is only limited to delhi Kolkata Chennai...

bro the time what he is mentioning (1960s, 1970s) here the biggest city was Calcutta followed by Bombay, Chennai, Delhi. That time Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara were not that developed that is why he did not mentioned those. Nowadays these cities emerging cities and are a developed one.

Mumbai is not the only city having double decker.. In Kerala, trivandrum nd kochi have double decker service even with open roop tops.. Appreciate ur effort, but try to do a little bit more effort on content research
