Well done, excellent. Ideal for those wanting to know what to expect if taking this iconic trip to Manly and then the short walk to Manly Beach.

My grandmother used to try to catch the last ferry before the service was suspended - and that was in the days of the South Steyne and North Steyne ferries which lacked all the modern aids used to minimise the effect of the heavy seas.

Nice video. I can say so much about this video. I'm gonna point out a few things.
    1. Water through the deck is from the anchors, which are on the bow (front) of the ship just close enough to the water to get the full brunt of any wave. It's happened even on smaller days.
    2. The people jumping behind you. I'm glad they were on a big ferry. If they'd done that on a smaller vessel, they would've gone over.
3: Judging by this, there were only 2 big ferries but do tell me if I'm wrong. The two are Collaroy and Freshwater.
4: A question, when was this filmed? I've got more info but I'll tell it if I can get a footage date.

Thank you for the reply. The video was taken on 4th of March 2022. There’s only 2 large ferry and the other 3 are catamarans .

@@reishappysydneylife8312 Ah so that explains why only 2 vessels were running. Should be all 4. There's a rally happening soon and anyone is invited to save all 4.

Thats quite mild. I used to catch the ferry every morning in 1988. I've seen a 2foot wall of water wash through the bottom deck every wave the ferry cut into. Thered be needles, condoms, plastic bags and all sorts of garbage in it. Id generally be the only one downstairs.

How much do you pay for a round trip on this ferry?
