Don't sell yourself short! You have a tremendous amount of knowledge to impart. I remember you said you had a horticulture degree. I was jealous. I had taken an introduction to arborculture class at UNH some years back and I always want to learn more. The knowledge one can learn is never ending! I started watching your channel when I came across some your videos and you were talking about the different applications for certain plants in the landscape. You also talked about native plants which I found very interesting. I love seeing what things work and what things don't and trying to simplify and beautify my yard. Keep it up, kid!

Of course you can find and burn wood the same season. If the tree is dead, it will have dried out considerably, and a few percent of moisture content is easily lost as long as the wood doesn't freeze. I wish people would consider and accept that reality is a huge grey area and not the narrow scope of their own experience and beliefs.

I agree Alf. I admit I've found oak in log lengths on the ground and it takes FOREVER to dry. However, standing deadwood is treasure when we fall behind with out wood supply.
