I’m 6’3” with a 32” inseam. Should I get the extended arm or regular arm?
@@bigjohn4977 I have a 32” inseam as well. I got the standard length arms. Gives me just enough knee bend to be comfortable.
@@bigjohn4977 l'm 6'02" with a 38" inseam John. The adjustability of the regular arms should give you plenty of leg room. Both of my legs are 1/2 + titanium, and l have to constantly move them around. Like Donnie, mine are set up where l can rest my heel on the floorboard. Unless you want your legs very far out in front and really high, l would just stick to the regular ones. Hope this helps. - Mike

I’ve had my RG3 for about 5 weeks, and I’m replacing parts that need improvement for me as I accumulate miles. I already have 1,560 miles. I’m 6’3” and the two first replacements were the windshield and seat. I put a Klock Werkes 12” touring w/s and Mustang seat on the BlackPearl. I installed the top rack & Custom Dynamics rack light. I need the highway pegs and thanks to you Donnie, I’m going to get the Ciro frame mounted ones, and I’ll probably order the DJ floorboard spacers at the same time (my right leg got toasted in a 2 hour traffic jam). Thanks for all you do; it is appreciated.

You both cinched it. I’ll get the standard reach arms. I didn’t know if I’d be able to use them in conjunction with the DK spacers; thanks for clarifying that, Donnie. I’m currently on a ride from Stockton, CA to Palm Springs; and I stopped off at the “California Trike-in” in Mariposa, CA.

@@bigjohn4977 also, when you order the extension kit from DK Custom, ask for an additional spacer for this mount. Tell them what you’re doing and they should help with that.

Hi Melissa!! These actually sit closer than your traditional pegs. I’m short legged and always had to stretch out a bit with my legs fully extended. Now it is a very comfortable transition and my knees are able to keep a bend in them. I should have gotten these years ago, but I was narrow minded more than I am now. 😆 Thanks again for your comments!! Be blessed!! 🙏🏼😎

Looking good Donnie!. How are you truly liking your trike? I just got my new tri glide this year, got 500 miles on her so far.. I love it more than all the piles of 2 wheelers iv'e had. Best thing i ever did, wished i got one a decade ago!. Especially being a disabled vet with limited leg use. The best part... I don't even have to get off the bike/ seat to get gas! LOL!..
I love it!! Put almost 2k miles since January 31st. Glad I made the jump to 3 wheels!!

What up, Trex!! Gotta rep the daily slides!! I have about 300 miles on these already and yes, I am liking these better than the engine guard mount ones for sure. They seem to stream line with the footboard a lot better and the reach is much easier. I tend to just run them out all the time. Even in town. Being able to just get my legs in a more comfortable position is the big winner winner, chicken dinner! Appreciate you, as always!!

Thanks for this. Do you know the size of the bolt and spacer you got from Ace?
Unfortunately I do not. I took the OEM bolt into the hardware store and matched it up to one an inch longer. I then got a thicker washer as the spacer. Worked out great. You may have to use 2 washers as a spacer if you can’t find a thicker one.

Thanks, Lorenzo! I didn’t get the extended arm. Just the standard. I’m 5’11” with a 32” inseam. These worked out great! The link in the description will take you right to the item and you can select other options as far as color, length and choosing a certain peg. Appreciate your comment!! 👊🏼😎
Donnie, I'm having trouble getting those bolts loose. any advice
I had to use a breaker handle. Ended up bending one of the bolts taking out the oem ones.

Yes. I have those also. You’ll have to go to a hardware store to get longer bolts. I don’t have the size anymore.

Yes I believe they did when I ordered them.
Will this setup work with DK floorboard extensions?
Yes. I have DK extensions on my RG3. Thats where I said you’ll have to go get a longer front bolt for the brake side bracket.
@@donniewieburg Thanks...I thought you said that you needed another extension for that longer bolt. Any chance you would know how long the bolt you got?
@@ultraclassic01hd I don’t recall the actual length. But it was an inch longer than what the DK extensions come with. I used multiple washers as spacers for the back bolt.

Will this give me enough stretch being 6ft 1in? How tall are you?
Works great for me. I’m 5’11”. There is an extended version as well you can choose. The adjustable arm is an inch longer I believe.

@@JimmyDean1992 they will. Nothing has changed on the RG3 in 2024. Maybe the person thought you meant the new 24 road glide and street glide.
Your videos would be great if you only took a little more time to show us how you actually do it. I'm sure the clutch side was more difficult with the parking brake there. Thanks for this readers digest version anyway.
