Watch the movie and then learn to love listening to these guys. I've got a son in the US Navy and I'm tempted to send one of these CDs to him and his wife
Saw the film and just love this! All the best reasons to sing and come together in local pubs - it's what keeps folk music and communities alive and well.
What a brilliant movie. The best line for me when half don't show up to their first audition at a wedding and Robbie asks how can they do this to me..what is more important then this and the daughter of the father and grandfather of the group..pipes up to him..they were at home saving lives. Yes these heartful loving men not only great fisherman with beautiful voices but they sacrificed their lives to save those in the peril of the sea. COURAGEOUS MEN!!
Brilliant! I saw these guys at Twickenham, where they performed the halftime show at the England vs Australia test. They sang "South Australia" and "Swing Low", and it's fair to say the ROCKED the crowd of 82,000.
Vigorous very enjoyable singing that lifts the spirits. They deserve their success and on a personal note I can add that their recordings help take the mind to more diverting places when using my indoor exercise bike - for which I am immensely grateful!
You gotta get out more !! Whitby Folk Week 20th Aug 2022 - The Endeavour pub every lunchtime from Sunday thru Friday - The Shanty session with Jim Mcgeehan and friends - see you there !! 🎼🎶🎵
I was fortunate to be at the Radio Folk great to see Fisherman's Friend again, I'm looking forward to seeing them again at the Cambridge Folk festival in July.
Greetings from Crisfield Maryland...I think you left some of your relatives on Smith Island here and they have the accent to prove it. Watermen of the world unite in song.
I’ve heard St Buryan Male Voice Choir, they too are very good too. Love this singing, my granddaughter sang in the St Buryan Primary School Choir and they were superb and they sang the South Australia song.
I was actually having a dig at “Doc Marten” calling it Port Wehn. My wife has huge amount of Cornish blood. I have mainly Scottish, French and Midlands and Welsh.
@@matingarastudios Why? It's a fictional place in a TV show - it's 'Doc Martin' by the way - therefore goes by a different name. And if you mean the English Midlands then just say English blood. It's as good as any of the others that you correctly stated. And, forgive my bluntness, if you don't think it is and are embarrassed by that part of your heritage then you can fuck right off.
Joe - how can one be embarrassed by one’s heritage? You are correct however. I misspelt the name of the TV series. I apologize for that. The tv show is excellent. The movie was excellent. I have no argument with anybody about anything. I just said it was refreshing to see a story about “Port Isaac”. 🙃
So simple, unpretentious and beautiful
Hello from Texas! Love this music touches my cowboy soul

Stripey tee-shirt gets my vote everytime , that waxing of the ends is mighty with The Viking lead singer a very close second Lol

I’ve heard St Buryan Male Voice Choir, they too are very good too. Love this singing, my granddaughter sang in the St Buryan Primary School Choir and they were superb and they sang the South Australia song.
Greetings from down the road in Penzance . Geddon !!!
Just saw the movie! excellent!!! And good to hear Port Isaac called by its real name.
joel spencer ikr it’s so insulting when they pronounce it wrong I’m not from port Issac but good part of me is Cornish
I was actually having a dig at “Doc Marten” calling it Port Wehn. My wife has huge amount of Cornish blood. I have mainly Scottish, French and Midlands and Welsh.

Great movie, the salts of the earth, or should I say sea, well done Lads ,, the punk rock of the past ☠️
I saw the bald head bloke in Cornwall when I was there during filming of doc Martin
Awesome!
These boys are great deserve the recognition.
Can't believe Mumford and Sons were once again cruelly overlooked for an award.
they aren't proper folk music and too mainstream!
Raheel Razvi they were indeed good but if that had happened then their new album would be even more of an insult
Because they were five minute cobbled together wonders.
Proper job!
love these guys :)
Nice to see Charles Bronson behaving himself
