Very interesting !! What is the servo motor that you are using ? It seems very compact and silent .
    Thank you

Question is, can you make a 2d model of the room? After you finish this scan, can you move it and then have it stitch the scans together to make a detailed 3d map of the room?
Would be interested if this was possible. If so, please do a video.

Yes, he can move it, it's laser and it covers everything from every possible angle to form a complete 3D model

    Hello,
Would you be so kind as to tell me what process you use to obtain the image? Is it a special software that visualizes the measured points?
    Best regards

Perhaps moving a mirror would do justice to this instead of moving the head it’self. It’s be faster a very light mirror can be used.

@@davidwagstaff9426 Glad you got yours working. I'm attempting to use that LidarScanner.pde, to render an image also, but I am having trouble. What version of Processing are you using for that sketch, and also what is your serial output format? I've tried- 123 456 6789 -horizontal servo coordinates 'TAB' vertical servo coordinates 'TAB' TFmini plus output, then return newline. I also use leading 0's, for all three Serial outputs.

Sorry the computer I had the files on failed and I have lost all the details now, but it was more or less the code from the project I linked to with a few modifications.
From what I remember the program ran on Processing (processing.org/)

There is a Arduino doing all the servo control and the rendering is done via a "Processing" sketch on the PC.
