The part where you said “what’s that for,” ...it is a tab to hold the wrench that was included from the factory to tighten the seals and open the clean out.
That's why I love my panther jet... It's only 5 pipe fitting holes and at the end of a hard day I might get a teaspoon of water out of the plug.... Plus factory ride plate and stainless impeller.... My buddy has a berk jet and he just hooked a float system to his bilge system so it kicks on automatically cause it leaks so bad.... He's tried everything under the sun to stop the leaks and it gets worse every time he dicks with it..
At 5 mins 10 secs. That seal was put in the wrong direction. 🤔 Turn it around. Look at the seal you took out and the way its was in. This is a common mistake. These seals go in the other direction to keep the oil in and the water out
Well: You made a common mistake, you put the seal in the wrong direction (review this video). Logic says your sealing the oil in the bowl, but apparently the seal seals the water (under pressure) out of the bowl. Made the same mistake myself. You would think it would have a double seal??
Hey i have a brekerly 12jc jet pump it pump water but no pressure but is have water flowing if u put your thumb over the hose straight from the pump no pressure im thinking i have a worn impeller

Sounds like he’s got his seals on backwards. And yes they are directional

We will have to look in to it but so far no sign of water in the bowl

It has little presher at idle put a water pressure guage on it and see what it dose under higher rpm
Pull a little timing out of it boys. Check your firing order. Where is it today
