Spray arms are the worst designed part of a dishwasher. They are impossible to fully clean. If you push the dirt in one hole it will end up blocking another !
Youre right you can’t just poke the stuff out it just disappears you rinse it comes out of the other hole or the SAME one. I think all you can do is immerse the whole spray arm for as long as possible in water so that the food dissolved and you can rise fully. This takes a long time and in the meantime you can’t use the dishwasher. These videos are useless and they’re all the same .
yeh, it's a pain in the ass. What I do now is take both the arms off and soak them over night in a vinegar solution, that normally dissolves all the food particles and crap.
As other comments are saying, the design of these spray arms beggars belief...obviously not designed by anyone with any common sense! Tiny bits of gunk (be it meat/bone/sweetcorn) get lodged in the nozzles and using a toothpick or anything else more often than not defeats the purpose, simply pushing the offending article back into the spray arm, only for it to reappear somewhere else. Soooo frustrating 🤬
Hi, did you find the solution? My dishwasher arms are clogged every single time I use the dishwasher. So annoying. I have to clean it with toothpick all the time.
Hi - I eventually manually enlarged the holes using a knife! Not pretty, and I’m sure there’s probably a better way of doing it (eg with a small drill bit) but I was in such a temper I just ‘hacked’ at them!! They do still get blocked, but not NEARLY as often.
@@trishsykes449 I am afraid that the water pressure will be less if I do the wholes bigger, no? I was about to buy a new dishwasher but what the point, if the new one is going to have the same issues!? The only one thing we can do is to empty the dishes before putting it. But then, why do we need dishwasher?
@@innasokolova736 I haven't found the (SLIGHTLY) larger holes affect the washing at all...except they don't get blocked so often!! Beware of washing the dishes prior to loading the dishwasher...I've seen (somewhere on RUclips) that that's not such a great idea either (other than larger pieces of food/milk/cheese etc)! You also need to ensure the filters are clean AND properly seated as that can also affect the water pressure.
Sometimes, I find if use 32 litres of water cleaning out my spray arms, my filter and the seals of the dishwasher after every use it does the trick nicely.
When are you gonna make them in two parts so we can take them apart and scrub them? Shit gets stuck in there and calcifies and when one rinses with a toothpick one just pushes it in again..Theres no end to it. FIX IT! 😢
Just pushing the debris back in doesnt work, it needs to come out. push it in first, block the holes temporarily with tape or bluetac fill the arm with water from the central mounting hole, shake and turn upside down to let the water and debris flow out, repeat etc
No, this process does not clean the residue blocked inside the arms. The residue will stay there forever. It's hard to clean the arms making the only option to buy new ones. They are sealed, can't access inside. I expected better design and engineering from Bosh.
Hi, if for any reason your model does not have the same spray arms as per the video, nor does it state how to do so in your user manual, please contact us @BoschHomeUK on social media to further discuss. - Kieran
@@BoschHomeUKandIreland it is the very same spray, but the cleanup procedure shown here does not work. The particles stay inside the spray and block the holes again.
Hi Dave, We would recommend running a dishwasher cleaner through the appliance, on the hottest setting. You can also remove the spray arms to clean them manually with hot water. I hope this helps. Thank you - EJ
So you didn't really solve the problem, just pushed to particles back inside, and will block the holes again as soon as the water starts again. How to get the particles OUT.
Hi Jacky, Thank you for your comment. As per the video, you use a sliding in and back out with an angular motion to remove any debris from the holes, not straight down into the hole, this does not push all the debris back into the spray arm, but removes it onto the toothpick, or onto the spray arm, so when cleaning away the debris also comes away, any debris that does fall back into the arm will break down within the spray arm and be pushed through the holes during the wash, as it is not as built up. I hope this helps. Thank you - EJ
It would be much easier if they could be separated to clean
That was half an effort right there. They should make them to be taken apart
Exactly! I can't see how manufacturers have not come up with that concept. Spray arms that can be pulled apart, cleaned, and snapped back together
@@mrmoe967 yeah, this is retarded.
I was thinking this I'm just pushing it back in

Push the blocked bits inside and use a vacuum on the big hole bit should work?

Just hoover them out, works a treat.
You’re a genius. Getting the wet vac out now
No, it doesn't. Wet vac, shop vac, pressure washer, no matter the option, you can't get half the crap out. Tweezers. Been through it all.
This is useless. The real question should be: why does the consumer have to do so much more home maintenance on Bosch dishwashers?

Is there any safe acid that can help to dissolve particles inside?

Try diluted napisan
