I appreciate this one man - I can relate, I have asked myself if video creation is worth it many times. As you're well aware, many challenges with this endeavor. I would definitely encourage you to keep making videos, I enjoy many of them and it seems like you have great engagement and a solid fanbase. You're actually one of the many creators who inspired me to start a channel - I first watched your "dangerous LRT" video a few years ago, it was interesting and certainly useful for newcomers to the city. I also particularly enjoyed your cross Canada bike tour series, neat to see how much ground you covered and how things change as you travel east. All the best with your channel, it would be cool to maybe team up and collaborate on a video down the road! Cheers

Hey, thank you for the kind words. Your encouragement means a lot. I've enjoyed many of your videos too and find them very informative. I'd be open to a collaboration. All the best 😉

Jorg, I started watching your channel due to content on bicycle touring. I searched for that particular content, or it was suggested to me by RUclips's algorithm on content viewed. I liked the content and continued watching other branches of your stuff. When I started watching, you had about a thousand subscribers (if my memory is correct). Those subscribers grew to what it is today, then almost stopped at 2.7K, for a year? I think that your channel is not being put out there by RUclips like it once was. The shows on touring, day trips, vacation to Mexico, bike repair, the few handyman job shows, the truck were all good videos that a lot of people would enjoy. I would try to find out if your content is being spread around like it should.
Most of the videos that I watch, the person(s) do basically one thing, over and over, usually on a weekly basis. They have different content about other things, but that is in addition to what they normally do. For instance, I watch a guy that all he does is tune up bicycles four or five times a week. I can not stand the guy, but love his content. You would think that was boring, but then you think of the many different types of bikes with different drive trains etc., the mechanics being done by a very good mechanic, plus he is funny, and you have a good channel. Every once in a while he comes up with something different.
I think (and I know you have way more knowledge on this than I ever will) try to bring one aspect into play in the majority of your videos, and every once in a while do something else. I watch all your stuff, but I am already a subscriber. Your content is good enough for the channel to grow, it is somehow getting it out there. Keep on keeping on.

Thank you! I really love working on bikes and riding them even more. But I do it on the cheap, with no bike shop, only the basic tools and I only own three functional bikes. At one time I had plans to build up more bikes, but so far it always got postponed because something else came up. That's me, not the most consistent, but at least I stuck to making videos. 👍🥴
