A great actor. I found it interesting how such a Global movie star has such a simple / humble resting place tucked away in a quiet corner.

Why don't his family get a new headstone for him and his wife as the present one's appear to be well worn ?

Yes I have to agree, but we have to take into consideration the distance & location to where they call home. All it needs is the lettering touching up.

You know that the film Jaws used a boat called the Orca. There were two made. One was the sunken one which was left on an estuary beach for years until someone revealed its location and then it slowly started to vanish splinter by splinter and plank by plank. Hopefully this doesn't happen to Obi-Wan Kenobi's grave. Interesting video.

Sir Alec lived about 100 metres from the Harrow Inn a faboulous 16th century run by the same family since 1932. They would deliver Sir Alec his lunch when he was home but sometimes Lady Merula would collect it.

I know that pub! Do you know if the Guiness house is still there? I think it was on Kettlebrook Meadows but there's nothing visible from the road other than an old stone that has "Kettlebrook Meadow" written on it.

Yes it is. you walk about 150 yards down Harrow Lane past the pub, the road is a dead end.@@alexgifford45
