This phone definitely captured my attention from the first moment I saw it. It's so minimalist in its design that it's complemented by the software, which is pure Android. I love both colors and I think they should stay that way with subsequent phones that Carl Pei is going to release. IMHO!

@@TheRealGigaCat well aside from the hardware design, i would say the os is pretty clean tbh. it doesn't have bloatware and ads which already makes it a cut above over many ui's of the world like miui, color os, funtouch os, etc. i do think they need to something special to stand out maybe in terms of looks and feels. anyway, it does look good as of now but we have wait and see how it performs over the years. i personally won't buy the phone 1 as my current s21 serves me well but i m interested to see how nothing moves forward with their next lineup and who knows, maybe i will buy the phone 2.
The black version actually looks better than the white one. My phone still running good. So I'm not in the market. But Nothing definitely has got my attention 👀

Watching on my Nothing Phone ☺️ Really like it so far and reminds me of Nexus/OG OnePlus which is refreshing as love Pixel but the OS has become its own thing nowadays.

Speakers are a bit bottom speaker heavy Vs iPhone but nice and bright screen. It’s a very smooth experience in my eyes and I’ve owned a lot of phones! Actually reminds me a lot of my old OnePlus X ceramic in terms of idea for design.
This is a very detailed and in-depth deep dive into the Nothing OS. Enjoyed watching the video. Pretty much every other review of the Nothing phone just went over the Glyph and blah-blah-blah. But this is the content I loved watching.
In the Indian market, Nothing sells this product on Flipkart, and their e-brochure was quoted stating the Nothing Phone brought "minimal spyware" on it's OS, in one of the lines before they changed it. Love how up-front they were with that.
@@9to5Google I do. It seems there's a few different software builds out. One that doesn't have the music sync, one that does. Then another build that has the Tesla/Ear (1)/NFT quick setting tiles. Mine falls in the second, has the music sync.
The software is still a bit "pre-release". They're making improvements to the ui, adding features and fixing bugs rapidly. I guess everyone should have a stable build by 21st of this month as it goes on sale for everyone at that day.
I have to say I am pretty underwhelmed. They took an old Android version, carried over all of the bugs and glitches of the Android 12 UI (e.g. the AoD demo), changed the heading fonts and then added two or three little features. Some of them, like the „blobs“ in the control center are debatable as well. Sure, the Glyph stands out but it‘s not much more than a notification LED and AoD could do. All this with the trade-offs of Android 12.0 and outdated security patches. I‘m personally using a Pixel phone and although I like the look of Android 12.x, the glitches and how unrefined everything is really makes me envy iPhone users sometimes. But I guess this is also an Android thing and maybe nothing that Nothing could have changed.

Damn, really revolutionary to put funky wallpapers on a standard aosp build. No wonder they needed 500 engineers for software to make a phone that dont have specs phones half the price have. Seriously though, its sad to see that people think the unbloated aosp build is revolutionary after being used to bloated oem versions.

Settings > Customization just brings up the menu shown when long pressing the homescreen. It's just another activation point. Anything not mentioned is not included.
i tried to install nothing os apps to my samsung A51, here is the results... Recorder app : application opened with no crashes but the app crashes when i tap the gear icon. first startup, no asking permission. Nothing Launcher : Of course it will install, it's available right inside the store. the version on google play store is 1.0.2. still not include at the glance like widget. Nothing Camera app : None. not working. it may my phone is not snapdragon or only exclusive on phone (1)
I can't believe I need to ask this but in the nothing phone, can you set the volume of push notifications/messages separately from the volume of ringing for incoming calls? In the Pixel you can either mute all or loud all. The problem with this is I get 1 call a month so I want my phone to ring when I get a call, I get a billion push notifications a day so I want them silent. I can't configure this on my pixel so I just keep my phone on totally silent. I have missed the majority of calls I get and it's quite annoying.

I think the phone in the future would have better fratures so if i would've bought it i think for myself i'll wait Bcz i am kind of sure they'll make the nothing phone 2 or 3 wayyyyyy better so i'll just stick around

The phone was on my radar, but I picked up a Pixel 6 for a very good price last month. Kinda regretting that decision, the Nothing Phone really looks different and I really like that.
This phone is like OnePlus. At first they want to get into the market by providing best bang of the buck phones. I guarantee that once they get popular, they will raise their praise like mad.
In my opinion, this is a stillborn device. Nothing tries to be unique, but the language of design completely repeats the iPhone. In software, it doesn’t bring anything new to the market. These light bulbs on the back are the most useless thing you could think of. The camera is terrible. And the sad thing is, all the techs are reviewing this misunderstanding using the same method.
They have a better more user centric experience too. Peek display >>>> AoD or even 1+ flashing notification. My only issue with Motorola is lack of long term Android support.

It looks really cool. Android on iPhone's shell. Great Combination. Really tough choice between Pixel 6A and Nothing Phone (1).

Search for "Glyph" in the settings to find additional settings, including the Music sync. It'll flash the Glyphs based on the music you're playing.

Yes you can, by pressing the 3 dot button after pressing volume up or down once, you can adjust each individually.

25k me aayega toh hype ka kuch matlab banta hai, itne price me toh isse accha processor aur stable company Jo ki Motorola aur samsung hai uske saath jaana chahiye sab logo ko, charger alag se 1500₹ ka lo, fir case 1500₹ ka lo, lights dekhake koi phone mat lo, andar kya hai aur konse pricee mil raha hai uske hisab se phone lo, lights kitna chamkaoge, 1 hafte me hi khud hi bor ho jaoge, fir kya battery bachane ke.liye lights bhi band kar doge aur ye bhi normal phone ban jayega aur lagega ki mehenga ho gaya ye phone is price me. Priority kya hai lights toh Ghar me disco lights le lo nahi toh software experience aur processor priority hai toh Motorola ya samsung le lo, baki aapki marji
