- this is my first time making something like this, it's very unpolished but it is a labor of love. this is almost every time Essek and Caleb interact, plus some times Caleb talked about Essek to others. enjoy.

But Caleb did seem to wait longer to go to bed when Beau and Veth were talking about having to punish Essek somehow, so I have a feeling he's uncomfortable about it. He and Essek aren't that different, so I really do hope Essek makes an active effort to "leave the world better than it was before" with the Mighty Nein.

During this whole exchange 1:14:20 - 1:14:52 Essek was literally trying to underhandedly confess and lay down hints for them (but really Caleb I mean come on) to pick up on that he was the traitor, it was almost as if he wanted to be found out. I think that's what he enjoys, an intellectual equal. I don't know if his "friendship" was genuine, at this point at least, or if it was a part of his plan. This seems incredibly calculated, befriending the loveable band of idiots and giving them just enough information to make it seem like he was helping them, but really he was just using them to cover his ass.

Essek is my favourite character after Caleb and the big wizard energy is very nice. They both act like wizards of opposing nations that want to look past the silly war to trade notes and see how the other uses magic.

You're very welcome! I was surprised no one else had done one yet!... at least, until I found out how much work it is to make one, haha. There's at least one spot at around 50 minutes where I messed up and two clips overlap slightly, but nothing important is lost and I can't bear the thought of reuploading, so oh well.
