10000000000% agree. FFVII is the best soundtrack ever in videogames. And the new songs in Remake and Rebirth are the most insane music I ever heard in the last decade. Nobuo and his team are pure living legends.

I had the privilege of meeting Uematsu 10 years ago at a Distant Worlds Concert. The man is so humble. He is an absolute genius.

I too have met him twice at those distant worlds concerts… once in Grand Rapids MI and again in Chicago…. I got him to autograph my arm and I got it tattooed the next day… when I met him again Chicago I showed him the tattooed signature with a save crystal from FF12 under it and the Final Fantasy lettering above he was so astonished and as you said humbled. His music has hit in the feels more times than I can imagine. I would love to meet him again.

Nobuo Uematsu is my favorite composer of all time in any type of media. I feel like his compositions and melodies will hold up really well and be regarded highly for 100's of years just like the biggest classical music composers.
I saw a brief article saying that Uematsu had signed on to compose again for part 3. I'd love it if that means he'll compose more than just one song for it, but not getting my hopes up too much.

Yoko Shimomura from FFXV & KH’s would be a natural fit to guest compose a few songs given a there are already a few in Remake/Rebirth that sound like her work. FFXV soundtrack is high tier.
