    About me:
    Hi, my name is Theo Mutesa. I was born in Rwanda, but like many Rwandans, my family fled the country in 1994 and we eventually ended up in the Netherlands. That is where I grew up and lived for the past 20 years until 2019. That’s when I moved back to my motherland to follow my dream of opening my own gym and help contribute to the development of Rwanda.
    If you would like to support me and/or my business here in Kigali, please donate to my crowdfunding campaign.

    Theo you re one of the people i know who know how to keep searching and grinding. Yes people don’t read everything we are busy swiping, or double tapping without knowing what the post means. Knowing the right time to quit is one of the best thing to do. To me when something doesn’t bring me a bit of joy then i ll quit.

    Thanks for sharing. I like how you said that before you quit something, you have put in your all to it. I believe that is what gives one the confidence/peace to let go of something. I am currently working on selling my business and I feel the same way, I gave it 110% and I am now ready to hand it over to someone else who can take it to the next level. I believe that in life it's okay to let go of some things to make room for new ones. Wishing you all the very best ✨

    Glad you are not quitting. My daughter followed her dream to open a B&B in Italy and had it all set up and just about ready to open when covid it. She has had to do some other side work until things open back up and I am sure you both will have your dreams come true after covid.

    do not quit theo, i really admire your perseverance. if we all ru away from the continent to europe i wonder who is going to show the way to our younger ones. It is time for blacks living in the diaspora to start coming back home for good , and help build a sustainable economic growth, For those who asked if Theo was preparing to quit after selling some of his stuffs, i am asking to please not discourage our brother here, neither quitting nor starting a business is easy. The question we should e asking is how his business is coping in this pandemic?

    Now that you have the mic, lights, and computer you could still continue doing video podcasts on your channel featuring people who have transitioned to Rwanda.

    It’s great to hear that you didn’t quit and I do like you approach or philosophy around the situation we all find ourselves in .. I believe the future is bright for Kigali and Rwanda in general .. there definitely going to be bumps along the way but it’s those that are persistent that will prevail. Certainly we may all have to pivot in someway but quitting definitely ain’t the answer ... atleast not for now.. I wish the very best bro... and I would like to meet up with you sometime.. I also recently came into Rwanda from Kenya looking to setup business here in 250... let me know how can I reach you .. thanks and God’s speed in all your endeavors

    I think there is a group of ppl who always watch out for diaspora who go back to fail so they have a valid reason to not try. In your case it does not matter where in the world you are, your gym would have suffered anyways. I'm in a province in Canada still on partial lockdown and the gym is still not opened. The gym that opened 24hra near my house just had a week to inaugurate the place before we shut down. Since the launched they have been closed more days then in business and it is a prime area so I can't even imagine the amount they loose in rent alone. I'm glad you diversified and online business is def a way to create another stream of income. I am a frontline but still working on my online business just because even if the economy is doing well, relying on just one stream of income is clearly not safe. You do you Theo, eventually you will break even

    • @theoisback
      @theoisback  3 года назад

      yeah, you are totally right about that. All gyms worldwide are suffering. But online is the way to go

    Love the room setting tho!Well to my perspective business is digital you either earn or lose so each business with no profit its okay to quit but when it comes to a hobby there is always a second chance hope i make sense😊

    Ok, Theo, I have a suggestion. Whereas I have a degree in English, I am not there in Rwanda. But your English is good! You can teach English online without a degree to various nations in Africa. There is a short list of prerequisites: degree or TEFL or being a native English speaker. And since your education derived from Europe, you'll fall under the UK English standards, as for me falling under the American standard of English. There is a lot of good money in teaching English online. I actually wrote the U.S Rwandan Embassy two-months ago. I am still very interested in moving to either Rwanda or Tanzania. I love the fact that Dr. Magulfuli didn't close down his nation!

      aahh interesting. Nah, im not interested there are many other english teachers out there

    Theo if you want just contact me I show you how you can make good money, at moment I am in Europe am doing it some business between Africa and Europe, but I won’t do business with rwanda because there’s so many corrupt there, according to some my friends you can’t be successful in business in Rwanda without corrupting with the Ruling party ( Rpf).

    • @lydian5762
      @lydian5762 3 года назад +1

      That is some BS. Go try it yourself and you will see for yourself. Has any of them done business in Rwanda and showed you proof of them having to corrupt anyone? Don't let anyone discourage you.
