- The Battle Of Polytopia Strategy - Tips to WIN More! Here's my BEST Polytopia strategy and tips overall so that you can win more games! I hope you enjoy! Be sure to let me know in the comments what strategy or tip video for Polytopia that you would like to see next
Which Polytopia strategy / tip video you would like to see next? Let me know!
Can you please make a video where you explain how to fight effectively? Because there's lots of situations when I don't know if I can kill an enemy or not. I understand the attack and defense mechanics, but sometimes the troops deal way more or less damage than I think.
Maybe you could do these kind of tip videos but for each tribe individually?
Also, an in-depth explanation of each tribe would be nice.
Could you do a guide on how to win against single-player AIs? The Crazy bots in Multiplayer are Easy compared to the Singleplayer Crazy AIs...
@@amongusztav655 Yeah I can do some troop stuff
@@vandanak.s4946 I can do that, sounds epic
I feel like I am better at playing with my friends than against bots because I manipulate them a lot
Lol, that's epic
@Thomas Garrett EPIC GAMER MOMENT
VERY EPIC
I played a huge pass and play game, lasted like 4 hours and had 5 or 6 people in it. Anyways I played kickoo and made a few battleships. I then attacked a city in a blitzkrieg style assault. It was devastating but I definitely didn't have to economy to do the same to everyone else yet should they team up. I bluffed though and said I could do that to anyone's city anywhere and they believed me. I then offered that rather than destroying them with a costly war that they would surely lose, I would subjugate them. They would become my vassal and they would cede their capital to me. In return they got to live, got protection from me, and were allowed to keep any cities of my enemies they captured.
One by one I began subjugating everyone. One guy wised up, he said if they all worked together they could defeat me, he said I was overextended. As punishment I declared.his lands forfeit and let my other vassals destroy him. I never even lifted a finger.
That game was great
@@isaacshultz8128 Amazing!
I love those D-day moments where you have like 10 battleships and put them all on Land at once.
Expensive but breaks up the monotonous pattern of constant shore bombardment
I wish I knew people to play with so there could be massive bloody sea battles
@@chicagotypewriter2094I’ll play you
Something I always do and always works for me: trying to keep the amount of stars you get in your next turn higher than the amount of turns that have passed.
Me who made a 900 tiles map and earns 260 stars per turn: umm... yes
My strategy is to spam out defenders and super units and battleships. Why go on the offense when they just die when they attack you?
Pretty much
Qtezali then? Or bardur?
Ben's blox world honestly anyone. Defenders aren’t like the other strong units that you need to focus down to get. You don’t need defenders until you meet someone, so I just focus on economy until I meet someone then I unlock defenders. One defender per city is enough at the beginning, any more and you can actually push against ai.
A wild Filing cabinet clever but any specific character that you find work well?
@@flamesnail anyone who can get a good economy. I like kickoo, but that's just because I like playing with them. That said, defenders are the best unit to put into battleships. They synergize really well because they're the cheapest 15 health unit, and late game can pop on to land to defend a hotly contested city. But really any of the human tribes can work, even tribes like Oumaji or Vengir.
The special tribes are a bit different. I still use defenders for Polaris, but only for the mid-game. I usually rely on polytours for Elyron and only use battleships to supplement my tridenton for Aquarion
I like more of blitzkrieg strat: rush knights tech make a few for combat and riders to explore/conquer and focus on units to rush down the map until you inevitably have to build boats to end the game (Singleplayer only)
Wow that sounds awesome
I've been using this strat for awhile and it seems to be quite op
@@tadounia01 still is to this day!
I do this but in multiplayer with elyrion and I just spam polytars and I usually go on a tiny map so I can easily steamroll people
I'm new to Polytopia and this series is epic but I have 1 question: What tribe should I buy first if I still dont have a favourite playstyle?
I personally love Kickoo because they can grab sailing really fast which let's you get customs houses up sooner, they're really good with economy
Luxidoor, hoodrick and kickoo are best tribes u can buy. I think luxidoor is best tribe of this three, then comes hoodrick, then kickoo.
@@GullYYGamer it isnt that easy. Kickoo is worse than lux and bard
@@GullYYGamer I guess ill analyze ur video cuz of u seem really strange saying that kickoo is best tribe(between buying tribes):P
@@GullYYGamer I see that uhavent played any multiplayer games yet, or played very low count of them. I cant say that im a good player but at turn 15 stp(stars per turn) comes at least to 30 with at least 5 cities(on 324 map, I personally play only that size), u said in the video that it is ~14, it is super low
Me in polytopia:
Sees an enemy base: *Panik*
The enemies retreated: *Kalm*
And came back with a bunch of riders: *Panik*
When the enemy has alot of troops me: heavy breathing
Hey gullyy i came up with a challenge just like you said. Its a really difficult challenge, but you should not have a problem since youve been burning through the challenges.
RPG Challenge:
Any number of bots or difficulty.
When you play, you must have a die ready. Whenever you are about to do the following actions, you must roll the die:
1. Attacking (only if there are multiple units that can be attacked, the roll determines who you attack)
2. Research (only rolled if there are multiple research choices from the same tier 1 upgrade, when you roll you will only upgrade one of the tier 2 or above upgrades from the same tier 1upgrade. Does not apply to upgrades that you have insufficient stars for)
3. Training new units (only if there are multiple units that can be trained, the roll determines who you train. Does not apply to units that cannot be afforded)
You may use any die, and the difficulty level depends on what rolls you think are good, normal or ok.
I purposely made the rules of this challenge loose so that it will not be too difficult; if they are too strict this will probably be impossible.
Do ask if you have any questions :)
Spam knights and battleships.
And unlock them literally 5 turns after you start.
EDIT. Knights because of the absolute insane mobility they get, especially if you like building up large road networks like me.
I go with vengir and spam swordsmen
I did a game like one hour ago and i had 25+ of them just for defending my coast lmao
@@RayanfhoulaBR literally me with battleships
@@donaldtrumpscat2443 I got a map where me and the enemy (imperius im very sure) were separated by a huge patch of sea
Anyways that was 1 year ago and i dont even play polytopia anymore but might come back
What a pro gamer
Dang right
Really thanks! I would like another tips for economy. I hope your channel will grow sometime, because it is amazing content! Keep doing your vids, and don’t stop if someone is hating.
Sorry for my English, I am dutch.
Very epic, thank you! I'll look into an economy video. Your english is good
I can’t wait
Usually the strategy i use is this
I choose the desert tribe because I could find villages easier, while also trying to level up my cities, then I just save up for a massive naval battleship army and surround my enemy. I do know that sometimes, some enemies can not access to the ocean so I just let the giants and knights take care of the situation.
If you want to get 150k+, turn 15 should be swapping to temples and mopping up the rest.
This video is for domination mode, but I can make a perfection guide
Thanks for the Guide, started playing 1 day ago but im really garbage. I tried to play with burdur because they are the best out of the free options but i yet dont know how to play them. hopefully ill improve by trying. and something else; which of the purchasable tribes would you recommend? i thought of luxodis or polaris
Kickoo is pretty nice, goodluck!
GullYY already considered them because of their navy. i will watch a few videos and i think ill be fine
@@Jack-iv1ed nice, glad to see some new players here
@@GullYYGamer hello there
Quetzali
This is good but of you are playing perfection. It is very important that by turn 19 you are already controlling several villages, you already have multiple docks and trade market and 60+ stars. By turn 19 aim to create as much temples you can to ensure they will be at max by turn 30
Best early tribe purchase is kickoo, go for a village with 2 or more whales in or around your city.
Agreed
neat vid i may change my start dude one thing i just don't like doing is capturing citys early game as soon as i see someone i try capturing all citys i can so they can't get them
I'll try and get a unit on them but I usually wait to capture them unless the enemy is sneaking up on it
You are awesome i love you're guides
Thanks!
In the latest polytopia update the description says bug fixes and added something strange and i want to know if you know anything about the added something strange part cause it's killing me not knowing what it means
Something strange, huh. I'm not sure
Yeah its weird cause the description literally says "-added something strang" and i am really curious on what that means
@@craigmunk3993 Yeah, I just got the new update. Maybe another easter egg or something?
GullYY That's what I'm thinking, but what is it? It could be anything for all we know... I'll miss that land battleship glitch, though not a whole lot, as I only encountered it once... But I did notice a small bug with the Daybreaker Easter Egg, so maybe they fixed that instead of the battleships and made the battleships a feature? It would certainly qualify as "something strange"...
Thx bro for the help! I won my first hard mode game with a rating of 85%!!! :))))
Good job gamer!
My strategy is overwhelming the enemy's defenders through sheild defenders 2 units deep with catapults behind and further artillery would be battleships; just move up one square at a time and swarm them; a city won't ladt more than 5 turns
That's what I call a pro gamer move
Most definitely
Unstoppable phalanx: first row defenders second row catapults. optional naval bombardment for crushing, protected firepower.
Nice vid
Thank ya
1 of the cities in hoodrick was named thick
hey i recently bought this game, thanks for making this!
Only use a knight for archers in a "L" linging its very good to counter pass line of fire
I already know this stuff I just can’t beet crazy mode 9 players consistently
I might make a video on how to beat crazy bots
Jd just keep playing the game and trying different things.
The game isn't complicated and eventually you will everything the game has to offer and almost always win (yes, even against 9 crazy bots)
Is hard when all the bots have giants and smitering>:c
@@breadthatsred5815 i wouldn't really say the game isn't complicated. In my 18 months of experience i still have no clue how to win with polaris when the opponent spawns close to me.
@@justeenilingueeni123 yeah, that's a tricky one, Polaris is very weak early game. What I try to do is rush the shields technology, and wait for the AI to keep attacking, while I don't attack back and heal my defenders every turn until the attackers forces are depleted. I also try and get walls on my city (walls mixed with the shields are really strong)
1:48 i usually use a defender + catapult attack because only other catapults and archers would be able to kill my capults behind my defenders but other units work aswell (like this btw):
(CAT)some(DEF)
(CAT)space(DEF)
(CAT) (DEF)
don't get a lot of catapults because a single knight can destroy it all
me sweating in 100 catapult everywhere on the map
Edit: also I usually make go economy first to get super units and after that I just make front line full of super units the back line with defenders and behind it just a mass amount of catapults.
no one can escape the catapult death zone >:3
I recently got this game and wow this really helped
Controlling the sea gets really hard if there are Aquarion, Polaris, or both
It's all about controlling the sea quickly
GullYY If you’re looking for a video to make I would like to see how to control the sea best and especially how to combat these tribes if they get it first and make it their domain
@@cheddarcheese4159 not a bad idea
@@cheddarcheese4159 the best way to control the sea is by getting a strong economy. You can invest your stars directly into more ports/custom houses, battleships, or the aquatism tech if you already have whaling. Getting more stars can also help you level up your cities to get giants. Giants are amazing at controlling the sea because of their massive pool of health which pairs nicely with the high damage and scout ability that battleships have.
Could you do a video going over which troops counter which
Perhaps
Thanks 😃
My strategy:
Tribe: Kickoo
Early game: boats and custom houses
Mid game: more boats and custom houses
End game: even more boats and custom houses
Works every time
Pretty good, pretty good
For me, I always start capturing cities and attacking the enemies right away
Do a tier list on normal units ( first section ) and special units ( last section and 2nd )
(Score:3,585 in one minute) nice
We need larger maps.
They are on their way, soon!
I dont play online, but can you give me tips for hard mode, i can easily expand easy and normal but when i play on hard within 5 turns 9 of thier riders annihilate me
Challenge: only archers use hoodrick against 7 crazy bots, not sure if you've already done this...
I just downloaded polytopia i kept losing until i saw this vid now i always win
Epic
1st tip. Turn the irritating sound off.
Of all the default tribes, Bardur is the best. Also geography is key to winning.

how to get good at fighting players or crazy bots
Aquarion is hard to play as.
Or I'm just really bad
I use Calvalry and bows
Very nice
Thanks
Can you do a oumaji strategy video? I love the sand bois
At some point I plan on making strat videos for all the tribes. So yes!
@@GullYYGamer nice
Omaji is one of my favorite tribes and i play them very often. I can summarize briefly on how to use omaji.
Omaji is best in isolated maps because the riders that they have are really great for exploring and getting that juicy turn 1 city. Organization, roads, and farming will help you grow your economy at a very quick rate (and because it's only 3 techs you can still afford to get them even after you've already gotten 5+ cites early on). If you spawn near another tribe, always build at least one warrior to protect your riders. The best way to beat a nearby opponent is to slowly take out their army 1 unit at a time, and keep your riders as close as possible to your territory for some extra healing. If the opponent tries to counterattack, a warrior will be necessary to stand your ground. Always remember the magic number (3) which is the amount of warriors/riders that you will need to capture a city with a warrior on it. If you overextend too much and start to get attacked on multiple fronts, defenders are your best option for defense (if you can get a giant from your capital that is also great). If you cannot defend, getting construction is a good idea so then if you choose to give up a city, you can remove anything that would be useful for the opponent before you give it away. Construction is also nice for getting more giants from farmland.
Not nearly as brief as I had planned but oh well XD
Hey Gully have you seen the new "strange" event
