Have you had chance to put together a how-to for your garage door opener yet? I currently have a very similar system using a D1 mini pro and relays to open and detect the current state, but it runs using the Blynk app and coded in Arduino C++. Also have other Blynk setups such as alerting me when my mailbox is opened, when my burglar alarm goes off, when I leave my garage door open and a button to turn my heating on/off. Blynk are shutting down their legacy server at the end of this year and your method looks a perfect replacement (and I want to add the car presence sensor and auto close, brilliant idea). I’m about to start my Home Assistant journey and the garage closer is the first thing I need from it. Pretty please 😊
I plan on making an updated version with a camera and change a few things about my setup, hopefully in time for a spring video. But for now you should search for an older Dr zzzs video about garage doors. His videos inspired my ideas
That’s so cool! I can’t believe you don’t have more subscribers.
