Really interesting tour. It reminds me of when I was Captain of a civilian owned ex Royal Navy Fleet Tender operating in the North Sea UK. I started out as a deckhand, then Navigator/Radio Operator, Ships Engineer and finally Captain. I love being at sea, even during bad weather.
Thank you for the lovely feedback :) glad you enjoyed. While this was a slightly older vessel I still had a great time on board. I have several other tours on my channel :)
@melcarpiso5604 thank you 😊 I'm glad you enjoyed watching 😁 next ship I'm due to embark on is only 3 years old middle of this month looking forward to that one
Watching from the Eastern Cape haha -- it's a province in South Africa, not sure if the name of the ship is related at all, seems unlikely. Algo recommended it.
Thanks for your video, enjoyed the tour and commentary. Think I asked last time, are you onboard to monitor hold fumo? How many voyages do you get each year?
@timjulou7753 yep that's basically what I do make sure no leakages inside accommodation and managing it accordingly I've just started this work you can do up to 10 or 11 a year. Thank you for watching my next trip will be October 11 or 12
Great video my friend! Never get tired of these tours. Thanks for sharing your food. That’s lots of cookies (biscuits) for a 3 week sailing. Are sure you shared with the crew? 😂
Hopefully the wood onboard isn't responsible for the slash that exacerbates flooding in the Hawkes Bay because the company in question just wants to maximize profits...
@Mike-tu7uw you could request it but I don't think they had bacon on board as it was Indian crew who don't eat pork however indian breakfast foods aren't bad. Dosa Upma and Poha are actually quite nice 😋
@michaeleast216 I try my best if I'm not sure I just ask 🫠 I'm not actually part of the ship crew but a supernumerary I am there to fumigate and monitor the fumigation on its voyage. I just enjoy filming to give people a glimpse as to what life is like on board and living conditions
What are you fumigating for, cockroach infestation? or other insects? Surely its not rats.... My first ship as engineer cadet, over 50 years ago ,was a 35,000 ton steam tanker. My very first job was to fix a steam trap in the galley. Soon as I started hammering the spanner on a union, an entire nation of cockroaches emerged from behind the pipework. I'd never seen anything like it. Made me carefully inspect what I was eating after that!
ruclips.net/video/PiIxritrP_o/видео.htmlsi=2zEZsB4-5mOodkZK New video up! Tour of Bunun Leader 😊
Love the wide-open doors with "This door must remain closed at sea" stencilled on...
@andysaunders3708 it's not exactly followed especially as it gets quite hot in the tropics and provides much needed ventilation
always like this kind of vlog. thanks

Ships don’t have floors, walls or ceilings, they have decks, bulkheads and deck heads just a heads up mate. Great vid enjoyed the great views. 👍

Amazed that A large ship only has one engine. Is there any kind of backup in case it breaks down in the middle of the ocean?
We start rowing 😂 no back up 😃 try to repair or arrange towing
Many years ago,I have worked on a ship which pretty similar with this one,the engine room is very narrow.
@sulzerwartsila7116 yes I found the engine room to have significantly lower headroom in some areas
