Ah, but that's why I *love* Agile on this build. I just clutched a Maelstrom while *surrounded* in a tight corridor with a pack of crushers and maulers. Literally slid out of the way while thinning them out with pokes and then cleaned 'em up with the bolter. Eaay-peasy.
watched it, tried it, subbed it. this build is fire. never had such a confident run in maelstrom. zipped through hordes, ran circles around the big boys poking their heads off, lost a quarter health due to a sneaky bomber. truly insane,... dont need stealth or interrupt aura when u can evade nonstop, its basically ike stealth and interrupt at the same time.
Omg I've already been rampaging through Auric now that I finally felt confident to play it with my speed & dps build that is a little bit of a glass cannon. Then you post this crazy build that makes you a broken tank. :) Allright, I'll try it.
The build is good but want to correct what Swift Certainty actually does. For one, its not counted as an actual dodge so it doesnt proc Second Wind. This is because this refers to a different mechanic. In the game if you sprint towards ranged enemies at an angle, their shots will trail behind you as long as you have stamina and the angle isnt too shallow. Swift Certainty removes that having stamina requirement I would personally Take those 2 points and maybe fill out blazing piety or something.
Agreed! Through experimenting I ended up with more or less with the same build but I thought I could get better value from Shield of Contempt and Thy Wrath Be Swift, which respectively make you and your team more resilient and dramatically increase your sustainability in melee. I run this with a heavy sword though, so I spend most of my time charging heavy melee hits and can't be as good at dodging stuff as with a duelling sword. It is definitely sub-optimal, as you can't trivialize maulers and crushers in melee as the duelling sword unfairly does, but that messer-looking Mk6 heavy sword is just too cool for me to forgo.
So bizarre. If you don't use it before the next dropdown, I'm pretty sure you're just wasting available resources. I don't think the director penalizes you meaningfully for using it.
Was doing Karnak Twins damnation with someone who had this build. The rest of us went down in the final boss fight, and he kept going for a whole 5 minutes trying to get us back up.
Posted by some guy that probably can't go 5 male storms with out getting down. Taking random posts in the dsrktide discord ESPECIALLY about zealot seriously is a recipe for disaster
Damn, this is basically my go to zealot build. The toughness regen from fury and the blazing piety bonus node are top tier imo. Was recently running it with the agile perk on tac axe just to get it to mastery(def better with dueling sword) but it actually makes the tac axe feel like a real weapon i also really like the build but with the stun grenades. Takes some skill tree wizardry but overall a really great build no matter how you tool it
@MisterEtide agreed on that. Some of the nodes make me feel like I'm wasting potential if I don't grab them so I HAVE to make the tree jumps. Then I always feel a little too locked in to a couple of builds. This being one of them.
The dagger is so weird to use on a controller. D-Pad down to instathrow instead to equip like grenades. That's why i prefer to play as a support Zealot with fire grenades and chorus. Burn while i scream at you, heretics! :D
I dunno man, Fury of the Faithful is on all my strongest builds. It's too good. Being able to regain half your toughness at the press of a button, auto crit, close the gap instantly and stagger everyone at the end of the charge is just superb. I agree with you that it definitely suits my playstyle more. My zealot is a very aggressive man!
Yeah this build is quite OP. Most of the time the toughness was at 100%, and even when taking a few hits the damage was regenerated almost instantly. And eating a Crusher overhead didn't even take half HP, so you could eat 2 Crusher overheads without dying, which is quite insane. Even could stay in pox gas and outregen the damage from it.
not sure if Agile adds more value than US or precog with this build. dodge quality does suffer once you go below 0, but it still procs all the bonuses tied with dodging. plus it takes 0.85 s for dodge regen. does Agile make that much of a difference?
Like i said, you could put whatever blessings on here and be fine. I just think being able to infinitely backdodge and kite without worrying about dodge count is nice. If i was doing maelstrom with additional bosses precog would be the choice
No, the thammer plays poorly with the critical stacking that zealot needs to do to be its strongest. Right now any weapon that has a big headshot/crit bonus is the choice for zealot
Not really. I think it needs some help from the deva before i could really make a build around it. More stagger is the biggest thing it needs, as its strongest blessing gives enemies increased damage taken on stagger, but it can barely stagger a crusher with a charged attack!
Since I watched this video I want a duelling sword for my zealot. I swear, Fatshark nerved it out from the shop for zealots. This or I am just really unlucky.
ive seen everyone in the darktide discord disagree with the other 2 ults being good, and i honestly have to agree. FOTF is just better outright, period.
Okay firstly to say the other two ults arent even GOOD is wild and makes me seriously doubt if your sources play very much. Hands down shroudfield is the strongest ability. It trivializes the game, the people who truly play at the highest level and solo/duo maelstrom missions have a whole separate category for stealth vs no stealth. You can do anything you want for 75% of the mission- solo objectives, rescue and revive, etc. Chorus is a full reset for the team, it allows everyone to get out of disables, refills and gives gold shields, and lasts a full 8 seconds, during which time allies can do anything they want, yet again. Fof is very strong but it is a buff for a single player that does not allow you to operate with impunity like shroudfield. Mark my words here, when havoc comes out the highest ranked players will be grouping and using these abilities because they are hugely gamechanging. Tanner lindberg and many other players who know this game at a very high level all agree with me on this point. Dont be misled by randoms on discord.
The darktide discord is a total meme seriously taking advice from there is extremly I'll advised. Just play a few games with the people giving it and you will say WOW these guys have no idea how to play the game
My Zealot is now lvl 80 - still haven't seen a single Duelling Sword in the armory, as a reward or at the Requisitorium. I will have to buy a grey one and level it all the way up at some point ...
Yeah youll want to buy one just to get a perfect roll, it doesnt cost that much to rank up, and its the best weapon in the game so its a good investment.
