I’ve actually owned those for a couple of years they’ve worked very well for me personally and the only problem I’ve had with them is the Bendyness of the mic and could probably eventually snap and break but you can also disconnect it from the headphones😊

Hi! Could you please check if noise filters or any sound preprocessing in windows/software settings was turned on during mic test?
Because Quantum 100 and even my ultra cheap Sennheiser PC Chat 5 has much better mic sound, like more bass, juicer mid frequencies. Mic sounds like it has software noise reduction, so could we turn it off? For example pluging via 3.5 mm jack
The mic on this headset is super bendable to point where it could break from being pushed down into a surface to hard. I’m not sure if the mic is bendable but I don’t think it is because plastic can’t be bent over and over again because it will eventually snap.
yo i bought them cause every review i saw about the surround sound says its good, my hyperx cloud 2 got ruined sadly, and I want to understand before I say it sucks, how do u configure the 3d for gaming? From what I'm use to, this surround is weird and I cant tell what am I hearing, I tried to play with the equalizer but I don't know what to do... please help me out.

Without the slightest amount of research. I bought this headset yesterday. Then here this video is in my suggestions. Very strange... but yeah I really like the Quantum 400! No complaints. Comfy fit, good build quality and good sound and mic. Using on the ps5 and all is good. Comparable to Turtle Beaches I used to own that were 3 times the price.
My mic isn't working when connected to my PS5. Do I need to do the setup on a laptop first ?

From what I can tell only through PC because you have to activate it through the software.

Yea there is a few I know off. I’m pretty sure the hyper X cloud’s have that. I think the steel series Arctis aswell.

Should work using a 3.5mm. Tho the surround sound will not.

Do you have any recommendations for competitive gaming headsets? I tried these out and loved the sorround sound but i noticed it did use up around 4% of my cpu. Dod u know any thing that can come close to this
Not currently. If you want competitive a gaming headset I would probably recommend the Logitech G733 Wireless. The surround not as good as the the jbl’s but they have a decent surround.

I've just bought one. It's February '24. I mostly play racing games and look for zero delay over audio quality. Mic should be decent because every now and then I'll use it for video calls.
That said, I like it, overall. Does hug to the ears nicely. Doesn't hurt after hours of use; I tested for a few days almost 100% of the time I'm either racing or playing something. I've a few headsets that would make me wanna stop and rest due to discomfort.
Sound is nice and microphone seems ok as well. Bear in mind this is neither a top tier product nor a professional/dedicated microphone. In that regard I have also steered away from the BT version because it would be more expensive and would [1] introduce BT delays and degraded mic quality. Imagine playing a racing game where image and sound either aren't in sync or are delayed (not fun, aka bit flat no no).
Overall, I'm happy. I haven't experience swichy/scratchy sound you mentioned but will keep a close eye on it. I'll most certainly find a way to circumvent this because from the seating position to the USB port it's a short way for a very long cable, so I might be able to stick it to the cockpit frame so as to not be a nuisance.

the basses of my JBL QUANTUM 400 sound very low.
I used the software with the JBL QUANTUM SURROUND option and I couldn't increase the power of the Bass either.

Super cool video, i got these in an amazing deal for 50$ at Marshall's , so I'm pretty satisfied with them I think the volume is a little bit low in the highs but after that It's a pretty roundabout headset , the microphone is pretty clear a lil bit sad because it's detachable but it is moveable.
The software it has is pretty good and enough for a medium range pair of headset. Awesome video! Would recommend if you get it in a deal but for 100$ I think there's better options than this.

You would need to have the software (PC) to get the full features. But they are compatible with them via 3.5mm

I don't have a ton of experience with the Switch but a good headset that I have ran in the past for mobile type gaming was the Hyper X Clouds. They are around $60. Also the ASTRO A10's are a good choice.

Ok so you also experienced the massive scratching sound and you said it was because it hitting your jumper as i said i have experienced the same thing are you sure that is what it is ?
I said the scratching noise is from the braided cable, rubbing on my sweater when I moved my head.
For what I have seen, the MIC return that Boba was using was too loud. I believe mine is 0,5 and his was on 2, or something like that. The passive noise cancel is good and you can't hear someone talking behind you, so it's just lower the return volume or disable it.

Yes the software is good. I wouldn’t use 3D sound in competitive games cause you can get input delay

As a Linux user I am pissed that I cannot access the full features of this headset. Also to mic light seems counter intuitive. I would think the light would be on when the mic is hot.
So would you say, "yeah they are compatible with xbox and ps, but more recommend for pc for the full experience" ? I'm looking for a headset that would the same experience for all three device's like my old turtle beach headset was, even with my mobile devices before they took out the headphone jack on the more pricey cellphones, but my turtle beaches I had for the Xbox were lit! Man I wish I could steer you in the right direction. Most the headset I have experience and have reviewed require a usb and software for the full gambit. I would hate to point you the wrong way.

The mic sounds terrible but in other mic test videos it is much better - I am confused now. There are some reports, that the usb cabel is bad for the mic sound... but even with the usb cabel other mic test videos sounded a lot better...

Go to JBL’s website and you should be able to download it. Hope that helps.
Or just go to Windows Update and it will be in optional updates.
Something to note is that the included USB-C charging cable is pseuo-proprietary. It is VERY difficult to fit a normal USB-C cable into the headset because it has a strange, non-circular shape where the actual input jack is. If you lose the included cable, it may pose a problem.

My complaint is that the ear cups are SMALL as hell. For teeny, tiny hobbit ears. I'm definitely leaning towards returning them, unfortunately. I like the sound, it's not as bad as some say it is. But wow. So uncomfortably small. Might be great for children.

I would still pick the GSP 300. You get a better mic, great sound isolation and great sound quality than this.

I wonder if i got a faulty unit because the quantum surround sounds like absolute shit in everything. Video, music, gaming and especially voice chats. The DTS version was better, but the surround sound is very tinny, like i'm listening through a tube. Even my old razer kraken pro from like a decade ago had better 7.1 virtualization.
Don’t get mic stop working after 1 week

Microphone, sound and comfort are all good, but the design is horrible. Mine broke after 30 days of use, and I was extremely careful while handling them. Luckily I was able to replace them, but all in all, don't buy.
