What I like is that you used fresh green beans. One of my friends here in Chicago always use canned green beans. I wouldn’t mind the frozen ones but he likes the ones in the can. I’m sharing this to him just to make a good point that fresh ones are wayyyy better than the ones in the can lol
Agree, fresh are wayyyy better. They do take more time & effort to clean and cook but the result is much better. Thanks for watching & sharing my video!!
Nice one TJ! I really like green beans in a pressure cooker, so easy to do aside from the pain of breaking them down. That’s a great go to for a side dish. Have a great weekend brother!
I do have an istapot ... but have not realized the full potential of it. I use it for pot roast and beef stew... I need to expand my horizons. Take care TJ.
An onion would be great with these beans, I didn't use one because my wife does not eat them. I like the pressure cooker over the slow cooker now. The slow cooker tends to make the beans too soft for my liking. I'm happy to hear that you made this dish & adjusted it to your liking. Thank you for watching & commenting!
In my experience with the Instant Pot so far, cooking times are always the same no matter the quantity of food. For instance, on chicken breast takes the same time as 10, 1 cup of rice is the same time as 4 cups... I hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Yes, high pressure. On my machine I just use the manual setting and it automatically goes to high. Thanks for the question, sorry if it wasn't clear in the video.
Since I cooked the bacon in the same container, there was plenty of grease in it for me. I like to season lightly & let the eater add seasoning to their taste. I'm just here to inspire you to do what makes your taste buds happy.

Looks tasty dude! We've all bean there, to use the whole slab of bacon, or not?! Who am I kidding, MOAR BACON!
Mo bacon, mo better. This did turn out pretty good.

I just got mine at Christmas so I'm still learning. I have made several things in it but I too need to expand my horizons. Work in progress...
Yummy green beans recipe.
They did come out pretty good. Thanks for watching!
These were like grandmas beans from the farm. Nice and soft , I added some onion and I did a 15 minute natural release.

Ive always made mine in the Crock-Pot, but this looks just as good 😃
I used to do mine in a Crock-Pot too, but I now prefer the pressure cooker. The beans have a better texture. I like them on the smoker too.
delicious. i need this instant pot too.😍
I was lucky, Santa brought me one 🎅. I'm still learning and practicing with it but it is kind of fun. Thanks for watching!!
I know you said your wife doesn't like onion but oh my goodness onions are great with that
I hear ya, I'm all for onions in this too. But if I don't put onions in her food, she doesn't put arsenic in mine 🤣. Thanks for watching!
I’m making them now!
😃👍
Great job Green beans and bacon looking so tasty and good
They did turn out pretty good. This was the first time I tried pressure cooker green beans & I will definitely do it again. Thanks for watching!

I’m trying green beans tonight but I have much less than 2 lbs. do you know if you still do the same cooking time? Thanks, I’m new to the instant pot!

Was that high pressure at 3min?
Yes, high pressure. On my machine I just use the manual setting and it automatically goes to high. Thanks for the question, sorry if it wasn't clear in the video.
you should have added bacon grease too to give it some flavor and added more seasoning
