@Margaret Gust she looks pretty beautiful without make up too. She doesn't have some super model body but she is pretty. I don't know why you are bringing that up. Even male stars do it
Zac has come so far since his HSM days. His acting shook me to my core, making me believe it actually WAS Ted. And even at the end where they show clips of the real Ted, Zac nailed everything. Every mannerism, face, everything. I was very impressed. Well done, Zac! And I was so happy to see Haley in here! So grown up and he did an amazing job too!
As a teen back then, my folks used to always say to me, “it’s not that we don’t trust you, it’s the REST of the world that’s the danger.” And boy howdy, were they right! Now I find myself saying the exact thing to my teen daughter. We watched it together-because she is Efron crazed-and she turned to me and said, “I get it mom: a guy can be just so cute, and have murder in his mind.” And that was it.
The movie focussing on his relationship with his girlfriend is not gonna glorify him but highlight the FACT that psychopaths can be as loving, compassionate and normal as others and it is for the world to watch, analyze and realize what they're getting themselves into before developing any kind of relationship with someone based on just impeccable charm and wit. Debating on whether Ted was actually handsome or blaming the director for showcasing such characteristics is just stupid. This is a necessary warning for the coming generations. Given the easy accessibilities to meet people. Go on and hate Ted all u want. But there are many Teds out there we need to protect ourselves from. And these movies are an eye opener.
I think Zac was chosen bcos of his similarities with Ted not bcos Zac is handsome but him being a teen icon is something not what ppl expect for playing the most infamous serial killer.
i agree with this and you worded this very well. ted was kind and nice to some people but to others manipulative and fake. this isnt glorifying a serial killer but it’s telling the story and making a point that not all killers are big and scary and we need to watch out and be aware of what’s happening.
I remember watching the ted Bundy documentary on Netflix and then watching this movie and Zac Efron really nailed Ted Bundys facial expressions, movements and speech pattern. Great overall movie by the entire cast
I think Zac will eventually become the new Tom Cruise. The guy can flat out act and he's one handsome dude. He seems to be doing the right thing with his career and distancing himself from the teen musical kid. He has a very bright future.
I don't think anyone will ever be at the level of Tom Cruise. All his great 90's movies to the Mission Impossible franchise to other great movies like Edge of Tomorrow or Jack Reacher (only the first one), I can't say Zac will ever make movies on that level, but I do love the guy.
@@hollywoodshopaholic That's true, but still the comparisons are too far fetched, Efron will never make a movie in the league of Gangs of NY, The Departed, Django Unchained, Inception, Shutter Island, TWOWS, The Revenant etc. they're all masterpieces, it's actually astounding how good DiCaprio's filmography is
He definitely isn't, but I hope it's good. For the actor to shine so does the screenplay, and the director usually only directs TV so I can't see it being mind-blowing or anything
Idk Zach seems so uncomfortable playing a serial killer. It looks like it affected him, he deserves a hug and an award but knowing that that was a real story has definitely taken a toll on Zach
I Don't Know Elisa aw yeah i thought i was the only one that noticed, he’s so so brave for doing it, but thank god he’s done with that role. Hopefully he goes back into comedy to lighten up his days cause he’s usually not like this :/

i liked what netflix did with the ted bundy story.Having the charm in one and then having the cold hard facts in the docuseries. which for me painted a really interesting picture of who this man was.
I feel bad for Zac Efron being interviewed for this role. He has to watch everything he says or the media is going to make him look like an actual psycho.
Is it because they are of both the same color... hair ???? Jk jk.. had to slip that in.. good stuff.. he doesn't look like him but can play him off because that is what us actors.. or like me..Fake actors do.. we pretend! I dyed my hair too.. girls 3% say I look like Zack.. yeah my fake actor license says I can say by first name basis..not first last. WhT what ??
I was an extra in a prison scene and it was very surreal. A retired prison, real blood left on the walls and James Hetfield has a cameo as a Sheriff. He stumped everyone. Mr. Metallica himself. lol. Can't wait.
I really hope this does well. As a Criminology & Psychology student in uni, Bundy is my #1 referenced psychopath when doing specific modules essays. Goodluck! 💯
Pretty sure he was a sociopath, not a psychopath. Both share similar characteristics but the fact that he was aware of his actions and was able to form real-life connections with others to a certain degree, shows that he was a sociopath.
John D i wouldnt neccesarily agree, i think he looks a lot more buff for other roles, he probably had to lose quite a bit of muscle mass. (sry for my english)
He still looks twice the size Bundy looks like. Charlize Theron, Margot Robbie, and Christian Bale all did massive physical transformations (both literally and with prosthetics) in order to portray subjects in biopics. Bundy was not this all-muscle hunky dude; he was slender - which Efron even says.
This movie was amazing, and the cast was incredible too, especially Zac he was so charming and haunting at the same time making it terrifying. I got so many chills during the movie, especially when Ted confesses to Liz by writing hack saw in the glass. Some people criticized this movie saying that it romanticized Ted Bundy but in reality, it showed exactly why he was a psychopath, not only because he killed so many women but because he literally fooled the whole world until the last second. I would love to see Zac take other serious roles like this one, perhaps something less terrifying, he has so much potential, and I'm sure he will become one of the top actors in Hollywood.
