My mom remembers this time frame, people in Washington state were in a big panic that even hitch hikers werent asking for rides as much anymore. My mother even had a gun to protect her and her kids when he was in the area. I did a report on Ted in my college class, this man was sick but strange because he was very intelligent and smart. Like Richard Ramirez, he was very smart.
This movie was so good that it kinda made me feel bad for Bundy weirdly (during beginning of the movie), because Zac played that “charming/it wasn’t me” role sooo good it was scary. Zac did so amazing♥️.
And of course Bundy was a horrible person, but the way Zac portrayed him during the beginning of the movie made ME feel as if he was maybe innocent (but obviously he was not, so don’t come for me).
Wow! I thought the same thing. I think these actors play their roles like this. Like Farrah Fawcett played Diane Downs. I felt so sorry for her. It they were cold blooded killers.
And that is really terrifying! Ted Bundy was just that charming in real life. Can you imagine being one of the victims who encountered him? Zac was just portraying him but Ted, well he embodied charisma. Shivers.

I feel Zac played a “smooth” bundy rather than the Bundy I saw on those tapes. Just my personal opinion, like I said, Zac did not do a bad job at the slightest.
eh really? Although I love Zac and most of the projects he does... I didn't feel like he did any justice for this role. I didn't feel like I was watching the psychopath serial killer Ted Bundy, but just Zac Efron saying lines that Ted Bundy would/did say. Moments where you see something ticking inside of Ted Bundy as he speaks and the eloquence he speaks with.. you don't get any of that from Zac. Even in scenes where Ted Bundy is supposed to be frantic or worn out, Zac was just fine and was just saying his lines. There's something terrifying while watching Ted Bundy, something that makes your skin crawl. but i watched this movie with a straight face.

But I was surprisingly relaxed throughout the movie and I realized it was because I felt like I was watching Zac Efron playing a character rather than watching Ted Bundy.

I am a visual leaner and reading bout ted bundy gave me so many mental images. Watching this film helped me bring it full circle. These two did an amazing capturing these real life people (ted and Liz)
The way he looks at her melts me! He is into every word and watches her to make sure shes comfortable and just watches her talk with such respect and admiration ♡
I love that they went really deep into their roles to make the movie best as possible, even meeting with Liz to get more insight on everything, it’s amazing they were able to do that. Also- I applaud her for not falling in love with him 😂 If he looked at me like that & called me mesmerizing I’d actually fall in love right then and there hahahah.
I've watched every Ted movie there is out there, Zac did a wonderful job. Ted knew what he was doing, most people couldn't imagine him doing such heinous crimes which Zac portrayed perfectly. I (almost) felt sorry for him in the beginning but that's what he wanted. I watch the tapes and easily felt manipulated by Ted , it was so scary. I just feel so sad for his victims. But that’s what it is. Bundy continued killing and getting out of jail. Throughout those years he was in jail. There’s not much else he can do ya know?

The movie portrays Ted in a way that he's being accused, but we see minimal evidence as the movie is simply supposed to portray what Liz is seeing and understanding. How could she truly comprehend that the 'love of her life' was a serial killer? The movie is confusing when it came to the facts (I felt like I grasped a bit more having watched the Tapes as you mentioned), but I think it allows us to really understand what was going on in her mind. Was he guilty? Was he falsely confused? It isn't until the very end that we get a definitive answer, and that is what Liz experienced. From her perspective, it really was just him being accused because he continued to maintain his innocence to the public and to her. I think that's why it was more of an emotional drama than a 'documentary' based movie. Just my opinion!

Y’all should watch the movie titled Ted Bundy. It is horrific what he did to those women! I liked this new movie also because it shows Ted’s charming and manipulative side.
Thought the movie was great and thought Zac was very good at this portrayal. Listen to other interview Zac did a very good job explaining why this was not glamorizing Ted. He explains it well. This movie was a one sided story from the perspective of a young single mom who thought Ted was her world for many years. It’s her perspective on how and why she stuck with and believed Ted for so long. My husband and I watched together and the one thing we wished it would have shown just for the sake of this young generation just learning or hearing about Ted Bundy that they would not know how actual bad sick and evil Ted Bundy was, this movie doesn’t go into any details about any of the horrendous things he did.
The courtroom scenes did describe some of his actions, moreso the sorority house monstrosities. That was definitely a stomach churner listening to that. Plus, the clips at the end.
Joe Berlinger is an incredible director. I wasn’t shocked to see his name appear during the credits. He did a series on Spike that was filmed in my hometown about all the women that keep disappearing here.

So I watched the movie a couple days ago and oh. My. Gosh. I just thought he was a serial killer (I’m also only in middle school so..) and it was really good. I never knew Ted did all of that and then would lie about it so he didn’t have to go to jail.
I used to think that maybe Zac always fell in love with the people he worked with, but with Lily... Oh lord, He loves her sooo much. I don't know if he's in love, but jeez, would you look at him.
