The film "Vash-Vish" presents Alaverdi town and its environmental problems. The members of the SOS Culture Youth Club in Alaverdi investigate the main reasons for air and water pollution in their town and the surrounding areas. They focus in particular on Debet River, which is highly affected by the discharge of sewage from the local copper plant. The title of the film is taken from the poem "Saqo from Lori" written by the famous Armenian writer H. Tumanyan. In his poem Tumanyan describes the beautiful scenery of Debet gorge, but many things have changed since Tumanyan's lifetime.
