Following an old tradition the Armenian soldiers gathered in the Berdavan Fort during the Karabagh War. In this time also the local civilians sought shelter in the fort. But nowadays it seems that everyone has forgotten how important the fort once has been for the survival of the village. Today the cultural asset is abandoned and forgotten. If it continues like this, then only couple of stones will remain from the neglected fort.
Պատերազմի նախկին մասնակիցները հավաքվել են Բերդավան գյուղի հարակից բերդի մոտ՝ նախկին սովորության համաձայն: Պատերազմի տարիներին բերդը պաշտպանում էր բերդավանցիներին: Այսօր բոլորը կարծես մոռացել են բերդի դերի կարևորության մասին: Եթե այսպես շարունակվի, բերդի շուրջը աղբի բերդեր կլինեն, իսկ մոռացված բերդից միայն քարերը կմնան:
