It's your house but I like the cabinet where it was and the chair in the corner. The way it looks now makes the area look smaller and crowded. Whatever makes you happy is the best. 👌
@suzanneclark8579 I also think the small cabinet on the other side of the window next to the cupboard should go somewhere else too! Maybe in the school room if possible. 😊❤
@@KathyMcLaughlin-dn8qhI am 78 I think your home loos so warm and welcoming . I like that hutch in corner better but honey it your home sweet where you are making wonderful memories.
China hutch looks nice in corner. Just 1 picture on the open wall now, less is more. Always takes a while to settle. Good deed caring for “Max” till he was reunited with his family. Don’t be surprised if he wanders back some day. I love Nathan being practical, toys will be behind there.
For the table- try pulling the table towards the kitchen a bit and put the chairs against the wall and bench on the kitchen side. It may feel less crowded….🤷🏼♀️ I would NEVER EVER get rid of your table. The story behind it is worth everything! It’s so sentimental. A complete heirloom someday!
If it were my table and I had that story to go with it I’d hold onto it and give it to one of my kids when they started their family ❤ Oh and I’d add a drop down leaf on each side to make it longer (when room allows 😊). You could possibly add one now and just put it up for dinner. Just an idea!
KEEP THE TABLE! Add a large piece or 2 of wood on top to make it bigger! As your family leaves home & you don't need as much room take the wood back off. ❤❤❤
Keep the table! Lay a piece or 2 of wood on top & attach to the base to make it bigger, then when your family gets smaller you can take it off & have your same table.❤❤❤
We have the same problem with not enough space around the table for all the chairs! You could actually use an old piano bench instead of a chair though at one of the table ends and it would sit two tiny humans and then it would also be two less chairs.
Love the Hutch in corner. Enjoy your party Peyton. I like that Nathan helped with the extra chair and Jackson helped with the Hutch. Have a great day and stay safe with the Hurricane coming your way.
A little bit similar to your kitchen table story, when our kids were little they colored and wrote all over the under side of our kitchen table. Our kids are much older now. I will never get rid of this kitchen table no matter what, it is just too precious to me.
You can get that hutch a little more cornered by pulling the side that’s close to the curtain over farther and pushing the side with the big tub back. Just pull out side of the hutch that’s by the curtain and slide it over a little more then corner it.
Aww sweet story about the table. Im very sentimental myself. Looks good in the corner. Im glad the puppy found his home. Be careful during the storms. I pray everyone will be safe! 🙏
Oh I ❤ the shutters. Hang them horizontal on each shelf in the cabinet, to add a pop of color and visual interest. Visual interest is when you find something unexpected or to use something in an unexpected way!
Great video Jessica well it is not an 🐊 on your property. Only the turtles . So glad the dog went back to his home . Stay safe with the storm coming this week . 💖
I hate to be a debbie downer but I liked the hutch where it was. It's a beautiful piece of furniture no matter where you put it. Your house is looking great!!!!!
I like it better where it was too. I can see it makes it less crowded with the bench but I think it looks better against a larger wall. I would put the chair in the corner.
My sister lives near you and I am hearing about her hurricane preparation. I guess Thursday will be pretty wet and windy for you? Hope you are redirecting the water now ahead of it since the pond is getting so close to your house!❤
Lower your picket fence just a little when you move it. It is a little too high. Decor should be viewed from a sitting position . Love your new home ❣️❣️❣️
Jessica this is your home I think I would put flat on wall like before. Or it would be adorable for your coffee area if it would fit flat. Or flat on the other side of the window. Prayers for you all in the storm coming in
Hi Jessica, Happy Birthday ta patent🎉 we have never seen Nathan in a bad mood or complaining about anything. You are a very lucky woman to have a patient husband. Glad the wee dog found it's owner.❤❤😘❤️
Your table is beautiful, it’s just like mine. You’re lucky hubby can build you a second bench. That’d be perfect and would save space. You keep me grounded so thank you for your beautiful attitude.
Jessica those little shutters on your China hutch, can't Nathan put 2 little hinges on it, that way you can turn it either way and it will stand by itself..
HAPPY FALL MONDAY Jessica, family, and feathered friends. That is a beautiful story about the table. Absolutely look out for alligators, etc...WHEW! House full...Jessica you are going to miss your hubby when he goes back to work, I understand completely. Enjoy your day! STTB
Oh I know how you feel with National Geographic in the back yard, we had two black bears mating this past spring! 😆 We live very near a nature preserve so we never know what animal might wander through the yard but I gotta say the bears were a little surprising 😄
Please be very careful with snapping turtles. They are vicious. I think it would be a great homeschooling lesson for the kids to learn about their habitat!
I would definitely never rule out gators in the water, it can happen😵 “Im wondering” would a LARGE ROUND TABLE give you more room, I know you can fit a lot of people around a round table if you have the right kind of base below. Then you could have a large lazy Susan in the center. Just a thought, on giving you more room.😊
How about this, put the chairs on the other side of the table to make us look less crowded next to the island…unless there isn’t room to pull the chairs out in the other side?
5:25 in video… I do believe I hear someone watching Bluey in the background (coming from a home that is only allowed to watch Bluey per the three year old) 😂
I think the chairs would look better on the other side of the table to add some dimension to the wall. Also, the bench would not block the line of site to the kitchen. ❤️
Just discovered your channel yesterday and have been enjoying your vlogs. I just have a question, what is the story behind the shutters on your cabinet? Because they seem very random 😃 to me.
I think everything is lovely, but since you welcome suggestions, the curtain over the large window seems just kinda not interesting ( bad word but I couldn’t think of a good one). Maybe a little more gather, draping down, just a little more. It’s great above the sink though. That’s just me.
Yes, I think the hutch does look good in the corner!! You are right junk type is so expensive but I still buy some for our grandchildren once in awhile!! Also glad you found George/Max's family!! I do like how you have decorated your home!!
I love the shutters above the china cabinet! If you use wood to connect them all maybe you could also make a lil kickstand on the back like on a picture frame (if that makes sense lol)
That’s such a sweet story from when you bought the dining table set. 💗 Thanks for sharing it with us
I would definitely get shades for all the windows. It will help you save on your power bill.
It's your house but I like the cabinet where it was and the chair in the corner. The way it looks now makes the area look smaller and crowded.
Whatever makes you happy is the best. 👌
I agree. It looks too crowded either way. Can you put it in another room?
I agree. There is way to much stuff around and on the walls too.
@suzanneclark8579 I also think the small cabinet on the other side of the window next to the cupboard should go somewhere else too! Maybe in the school room if possible. 😊❤
I enjoy watching you set up your house. I'm 70 and used to move things around but it's much more fun watching someone else 😊

I feel the same way!!! I’ve thought about getting another table to put up next to it long ways (when we have more room)

I like the hutch in the corner, I didn't suggest it, but it looks good in the corner. I'm glad the dog found his owner again.💜
Use a small piano hinge to put your shutters together so they stand up.
Hello from Wisconsin may God bless you and your family ❤️

The hutch looks great in the corner. Your kids are very well behaved. Great family.
I think you should put the chairs on the bench side and the bench on the chairs side.
Yes!

Definitely need another bench and get rid of the 4 chairs
Hi,
I don’t know if it is a good idea but I would switch the bench and the chairs around the table…
Love the cabinet in the corner ❤
I think the hutch in the corner makes everything look crowded
I'd never get rid of that table💛
Put the chairs by the wall the bench on the kitchen side more room
Exactly what I’m thinking giving you more space between the table and the island you can tuck in the bench so out of the way
Love the Hutch in corner. Enjoy your party Peyton. I like that Nathan helped with the extra chair and Jackson helped with the Hutch. Have a great day and stay safe with the Hurricane coming your way.
Happy birthday to Payton! May God grant her many more blessed years.

Girl, I am with you! I HATE cleaning the bathrooms. It is my least favorite chore. I would rather clean any other area of the house.
I think that a bench would be cute on both sides of the table.
You can get that hutch a little more cornered by pulling the side that’s close to the curtain over farther and pushing the side with the big tub back. Just pull out side of the hutch that’s by the curtain and slide it over a little more then corner it.
Jessica. Just noticed we have the same stand with Autumn bits on it by your coffee dock. Snaps !!
Praying for ya'll with this upcoming storm. You sure don't need anymore rain. I love what you are doing with your new home. It's beautiful.
I know this storm is popping up big time!!!
Praying yall stay safe with the Hurricane heading to Florida!!
I too like the hutch in the corner look like you have more room.
Jessica, on the bench wall, hang that shelf, and on each side closely (touching) each side of the shelf, hang a shutter. Picture a letter H.
I love the table story❣ so sweet. Good thing you have a problem solver husband. Everything looks nice. What fun to have a sleep over party❤😁🙏🏻

Just moved the table a little bit to give you a little more room to move around and put hooks underneath the shelf to hold coffee cups
I agree, move the chairs against the wall and the bench out in the kitchen
Looks amazing a bench on each side of table be great make much more room looks well ❤

Maybe put the chair in one of the kids rooms? Our kids liked having a chair in their room to sit on to put shoes, socks on, use at their desk etc…
I love it! I think it’s all gonna look fabulous!

So glad it wasn’t alligator! 🐊 only turtles 😂 I like the hutch it looks good
Remember when decorating less is more. Otherwise it looks to cluttered.

What about simple yarn or string of some kind with clothespin for the shutters idea?
I love the china hutch in the corner!

You could Definately get an alligator in there.
