Awwww 🥰 I remember I saw this live while I was watching Sauces nest I was crying I called 911 hahaaaa really I did I live about 10 min. Away by boat I’m right across from the Anacapa Island on Silver Strand beach I called them to get information to get someone out there to try and help the baby that was her only baby that season all her eggs cracked n this baby took so long just to get out of its shell the mom had to help take the shell off it was still soft or rubbery this baby is a fighter just to die for adorable thank u for recoding this for the RUclips viewers 😇 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸♥️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸💯‼️
Deb Stecyk Thank you for sharing. How wonderful to watch a mama eagle save her chick. I kinda skipped most the footage of the chick as it became stressed, because those kind of scenarios are tough to watch, even with knowing the outcome. The wonder of the instincts & intellect of these BE's never ceases to amaze me. -Hugs
Does your life depend on getting out of bed every morning? Somehow I doubt it. These chicks do not have the strength to turn over easily, and if the hole they fell in is a bit too steep, you end up with a dead chick. This one was on its back with a large stick over it. That’s a fair amount of extra weight for the chick. The adult bird doesn’t have the ability to turn this large of a chick. It can’t grab with beak or talons- it would kill the chick. All it can do is try to loosen the bedding. Given how long it takes to get permits allowing for human intervention, this chick probably would not have lived long enough for help to come it’s way.
So glad she got the chick out of that terrible predicament. This was really stressful to watch, sometimes they kinds of things happen in the nest, it’s hard to believe because it seems like such a safe place for the young ones, for instance there are situations where a chick will get tangled in their mom or dads feathers, happened last year with the decorah eagles. D32 got stuck in the feathers and finally was able to be free, he just laid there after exhausted from struggling (or exhausted from potentially not being able to breathe) either way, it was a horribly stressful thing to watch, even though I know the outcome as I didn’t see that happen live. I also heard of this happening once but the eagle mom eventually took off with the eaglet still trapped in her chest feathers and the eaglet was never seen again 🥺🥺☹️
Did I watch the same video as y'all? she definitely just watched as that eaglet struggled for hours. I guarantee you all of her rearranging of the nest material was just fixing the mess that the eaglet made while thrashing around... If she wanted to help it get up she would have just helped it get up
You are 💯 correct , my opinion as well , you had a better explanation than me , I think folks are just being extra kind to the beautiful eagles and are blinded by LOVE amd I understand , but seriously , we all can see what's going on ,,,,
Why are there dislikes here.... what is wrong with the people that disliked this? Too bad this video is almost a year old, because I doubt the dislikes will see my comment. It’s a real shame, I’d like to have a word or two with them! 😡😄
Even though this was 6 yrs ago, it still has merit. The mother eagle saved her baby by digging around the nest and removing things in it's way. Eagles, cannot use their telon's to move and save their chicks nor their beaks.
I don’t see what trouble the eaglet was in. My replay is a little blurry & it just looked like the eaglet was lying on its back or was it caught in something? Can’t figure out what everyone is saying the mother saved the baby from. 🤔
Whenever Pop gets home, she's gonna whisper in his ear "I think we may have created a jackass," and then tell him the story. Seriously though, it's amazing to me that it doesn't occur to the Mom to simply nudge the chick back over with her head. I suppose there has been little evolutionary need for nudging in their ancestry, thus the concept is totally foreign to them.
Mom could have just pushed it with it beak and flip it up right however I think she was teaching it a lesson survival of the fittest. She made a path for it however they Eaglet over came it's dire situation. Plus the eaglet got one heck of a workout
Where's the help? I didn't see any "help". She kept fluffing up the nesting material. And then the chick rolled onto his side (by himself) and then he got up (by himself) and then he almost propelled himself off the nest. He got very close to the edge.
She's smart and she knew her beak would hurt her baby and so is her feet and decided fix nest to help chic turned over without her sharp beak and her feet.
I don’t understand, she could of used her head to nudge him or used her body as a lift so the chick could push off of her to turn over. Can they not touch their chicks at all?
The chick looks too fat to turn over, probably cause it's the only one and gets lots of food. Once I saw a nest where the first two eaglets fledged, and the last one hung just around the nest and ate and ate until one day the branch it was sitting on broke and down it went. Not sure if it ever did fly.
I hate to say this but I've been watching allot of these bird videos lately and I never knew bird are so helpless it's like they don't have a brain they can't think I always thought they were smart all they know is to eat that's it
I think that was baby Dina.I watched her grow and flly off into the wild blue yonder. She had awesome parents.

I cant believe how she propped the chic over
with the nest materials amazing how instinctive they are
thanks for this
what a great job !!!!! I really admire all the people who take care of these birds
It was such a stressful time and amazing to see how the parent helped--moving things around in the nest!
I could not have watched all 2 hours. Thanks for the amazing footage of this "baby" getting back upright. 🦅❤🦅

Good grief momma, just shove her with your head
I skipped because I was so dizzy watching the nest sway ... or was it the ground swaying?

What a mom! They are smart. She helped her baby turn over. Mom to the rescue! YAY! Such a wonderful moment. Thank you Deb for sharing this vid...❤️🦅
Sometimes they can help and other times not...glad this worked out in the end!
Tough love. She waited to help to see if he could figure out for himself first. Survival training. Eagles are amazing parents. ❤️
Dang that was stressful. Happy to see a successful ending. Thank you for sharing. 🦅👍
Thank you God that You made the eagles so smart and compassionate towards their brood !! Beautiful capture 😊
Bless this baby and Mamma❤🙏🙏🙏
This is me after thanksgiving and christmas dinner. 🤣
Glad all worked out. 💜
Lol!!!
All tuckered out for the little tyke, and a good night's sleep! Brava, Mom!!
Definately well fed!! I knew mom and dad would spoil this one!! So adorable💝💝💝
Yes! I guess they have to in order to keep the chick alive! Now whether or not he gets a new stick-toy for the nest, is another matter! Lol
Spoil? No.
So stressful for me to watch. I'm so glad Mom and baby got it together.
Aww. Sweet baby. Mummy giving you time... a LOT of time. Goodness, c’mon Mum.
Wow Been watching vario us Eagle Cams for a few years now. I have never seen anything like this. Smart Eagle and The Eagle Always knows.
Thank you all million times!!!!
This is me, trying to get out the bed in the morning!😂

She encouraged the baby too....beautiful.
Yea mom you did it! God bless you ❤️
Mom to the rescue. And she is fixing the nest so it won't happen again.
This little has a big tummy lol happy it got up
I can hear mom...."Come on. Give it another try. What would you do if I wasn't here? You can do it!! Come on, little one. One more try."
She kept getting close to give support. Smart mom.
Lucky eaglet has good parents and gets all the food.
Took her a while but mom figured it out. It was hard to watch there for a while. That is one chubby but healthy eaglet. lol
Nawww so beautiful caring parent 😍🥰👏
Know the feeling.. Exactly how I felt after the holiday!
They are more intelligent than you think....
Not really. Did you know that Ben Franklin advocated for the turkey as the national bird, for it's intelligence and cunning?
I thought the parent seemed clueless how to help
magnificent birds!
How do they keep the eaglets from going off the edge of the nest. It’s a long way down. 🤔
LOL with love so cute. But I never held my breath so long in my life. It became not LOL. Mom and I are now having a glass of wine🍷🍷
Good job beautiful mommy 👏👏👏👏🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟safe baby life 🙏🦅♥️🙏♥️🦅amazing mom 🍀🌸💖
Baby it’s so beautiful 🙏♥️🦅
After that rough start, chick was too tired to eat much.
I wonder what she was thinking about the Chick's struggling. Maybe she figured baby needed to work it out for himself.
took long enough for mom to help
Thomas Close maybe bald eagles aren’t very intelligent. They seem dumb to me
Creía que las aguilas eran más inteligentes, no supo dar vuelta al pichón ni con un empujón con su pata. Me asombra que no puedan resolver esto.
So happy---to loose this chic would be devastating
judith griggle if it didn’t get off back would it have died?
Great job mom! Thank you.
I never knew when they were on their backs they couldn’t get up strange
Unbelievable....amazing birds ❤️
A beautiful thing to watch when the rest of the world is in chaos!
Leave mother nature alone, definitely it will survive.
I think Dad was watching the whole time because he came in with nesting material.
The mom actually didn’t help the chick at all. In fact, just kept fluffing up the nest around it...
Maybe she didn’t know baby was struggling 😳probably a first in her lifetime 🤔😂
"Help! I've fallen and I can't get up!" 😆

What went on while I was gone? The nest is a mess! Thank goodness she got the chick to turn over and get up.

Oh sure, pop turns up after the chick is finally upright and tidies up the mess, typical! 😂😂
One smart mama
Instinct tells them they cannot use their talons or beak to help their eaglets for they would crush them or injure them.
She could of used her head or beak. just a little push or pull would of done it. It’s crazy if they can’t touch their babies at all.
Poor little guy! I'm glad he's ok!
I remember this.

Why did it take her 15 minutes to help the chick? They are not the smartest birds in the barn.
So cute
Mom could have just pushed it with it beak and flip it up right however I think she was teaching it a lesson survival of the fittest. She made a path for it however they Eaglet over came it's dire situation. Plus the eaglet got one heck of a workout
That baby needs to back away from the dinner table .
Great Mom!
When this happens they look like they’re trying to peddle little bikes
Is that eagles name Candus by chance?
Are the newborn Eagles called Eaglets???????? I’ve never heard an Eaglet called a chick!!!!!!! So glad everything turned out okay in this nest! 🤔🤷🏼♀️
Kristel chick or eaglet is acceptable and once the chick is bigger it is called a juvenile bird or juvie for short.
Deb Stecyk I’m very well aware of that! Never have I ever seen newborn Eagles called chicks, only Eaglets!!!! 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
@@Lunzie The chick is nearly 2 weeks old so not newborn anymore hence the terminology.
All newborn birds are chicks, duckling, eaglets etc, describe the species.
There were three chicks what happened to the other two?
Did this plump chicken eat his siblings?
Chick doing back flips to pass the time.
Good lord it’s been a rough breeding season
Watching this, you just want to reach in there and turn eaglet over!
little sorry it took mom so long
This is amazing, one question : how did you get the cam up there? I was thinking with a long pole attached to tree?
They usually strap a cam on the nest tree!
They paid an owl to film
Hahahahaha
I don't think so. Mom doesn't do anything and the chick gets up itself.
Where's the help? I didn't see any "help".
She kept fluffing up the nesting material. And then the chick rolled onto his side (by himself) and then he got up (by himself) and then he almost propelled himself off the nest. He got very close to the edge.
Poor baby..that was a work out.
She's smart and she knew her beak would hurt her baby and so is her feet and decided fix nest to help chic turned over without her sharp beak and her feet.

Baby get's loose... God play's "I'm every woman," by Whitney for Mom. Moms just KNOW! Epic.
Wow what a heart attack! Shoot!! That was bad😔😔😔 but I guess Like any other nest the rescue unit would come out and help
I hope so they’d have to wait until mom and dad not around or they’d be jacked up by those talons 🦅👿
This chick just eats and sleeps. He does not have to fight for his turn.
design flaw
awwwwwwwwwwwww
Can't mom just push the chick with her head? Agonizing to watch. Birdbrain ! Just being a bird! I'm glad the chick was ok. Poor thing!😧
I agree.
Eaglet...not chick.
Please for God's sake help your baby up
Вот беда приключилась с птенцом.
А что с ним случилось ?
Becereful before you set a camera close the nest they can smell humans and our presence pollution their cubs.
🍀💗
