I love that Aurora not only does not hold back for her small audience, but instead digs in deeper and turns a usually anthem like song into a gentle loving hug to her 2 fans
So the setup is that the two fans didn't know that they were about to get an intimate performance from Aurora. This was a gift for Aurora because she likes small crowds and being intimate with a little audience. Also, the musicians are not regulars, Aurora met them an hour before and rehearsed the song with them. This was also intended as a gift to Aurora, to spark her musicality. I love this performance so damn much, must have watched it 20 times at least.
In the documentary it says that the young lady in the green jumper had never been to a concert of any kind before this. In one day she had this intimate performance from Aurora and later on the magical event in the forest. What an introduction to live performances.
You really need to see the full Haik documentary to get the context of this performance.
History of this performance is connected with "surprise day" for Aurora in her birthday (day organized by someone else with many surprises). About this performance: she was introduced to musicians she did not know (even different instrument) and have some time to prepare and then she made this performance for 2 random fans. Great document :).
I've watched this performance no less than 50 times and I still tear up almost everytime.
Can you imagine? you are an innocent bystander and then all of a sudden like out of the bue you're sitting in a coach and sweet Aurora si singing for you that's a life changer for sure
I don't even know if I want to exist anymore after that. Feels like those minutes could be the best minutes in my life 😁 or do you just go to work next morning and tell the colleagues "yo, Aurora sang for me yesterday, business as usual"

The whole HAIK documentary and concert is magical. It follows Aurora being treated with a day of surprises ultimately ending with a concert at a surprise venue. Aurora knew nothing except that she would be performing, somewhere that evening.
In this part, Aurora sings for the two younger girls, with three musicians she never met before, with 1hr's notice.
The two girls knew they would be going to the concert in the evening but were surprised with this performance just for them.
I absolutely love that even though it was only for the two girls, Aurora still performs like it was an audience of 20,000!
This may be her best vocal performance ever, too. As good as her vocals for 'A different kind of human,' at Christine's Radiofestival.
There must be something in the water in Norway. She's magnificent.

One of my favorite songs/performances. The Haik Documentary and concert was spectacular. I would have loved to be one of those two fans that got a private song sung to them. This is why we love our little warrior. She is so special. The lady on the end of the couch was Christine, the lady that drove her around during the Documentary part. The other two are two fans that they surprised with this performance. How lucky is that? And yes, Mike got the instrument right. It's not the usual instruments for the song, but only for this special arrangement. Glad you chose this one. Gets me every time. As for you watching the Documentary concert, the only other song from the concert you haven't heard is "Infections of a different kind" which I love. The other songs you have already heard at other venues (it happened quiet, Runaway and All is soft inside)
Taking my daughter to see Aurora next April.

Haik is a min-documentary TV show in Norway where the show's producer will take an artist on a magical day full of surprise events. In this one, Aurora is taken to a location where she performs her song Warrior for two unsuspecting fans, goes to a place where she tries out a Virtual Reality headset, then hears one of her favorite Norwegian singers sing one of Aurora's own songs to her. Finally, they arrive at the concert site - Aurora knew that she would be doing a concert but she didn't know the location. This forest is very near the house she grew up in - she spent a lot of time as a child roaming this area. The audience was filled with friends and family including her parents. One final surprise was the male choir - she had no clue about it. The show is worth watching in it's entirety since it really gives you insight into who she is as a person. I believe it's available on RUclips with English subtitles.
My absolute favorite version of Warrior. It just has an emotional impact that only that kind of intimate setting and arrangement can facilitate. As for HIAK documentary, between Warrior and Ane Brun you have watched all the musical performances before the concert portion.
Not entirely accurate. There is Aurora singing "Through The Eyes Of A Child" when Christine gives her the music box. It is only very short but I think it counts.

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Aurora live twice and so looking forward to seeing Aurora live again next year (tickets on there way) the amazing thing with Aurora is the way she covers her own songs and makes them feel so different this song when performed at her concerts is like her anthem and when you have between 1and 2 thousand singing Warrior Warrior the chills explode though your whole body as everyone sings along,but then she sings it for 2 young girls and you just cry like a baby with the emotion as the song takes a new message to your soul, Aurora for me is so special the kind of artist that performs the art of music like no other her songwriting ability is outstanding and then you add her voice WoW! she cares deeply about life also about her wonderful fan base who mean so much to her,yes such a beautiful humble human soul who sings poetry to our hearts.so as Aurora might say “let love conquer your mind”❤️🎭🍎💚💙

1st time I watched this Warrior song with the 3 fans, pretty much teared up the whole time.
Honestly, I have seen that many times and watching it with you guys made me cry again! She puts so much of her heart, body and soul into every song and this one more than most!! You really need to watch the whole documentary where she sits down with the two girls on the couch and talks and cries!!

You own it to yourself to see the full HAIK documentary (on or off-camera). It is a lovely insight into the world of Aurora before the mini-concert in the end that I think you have sampled from before - in the forest).
And since Ginger and Mike is too polite and humble to say so - go over to Ginger's new channel to find a way to "upvote" her in real life. Allow me to quote: "We have struggled over the last few years, rebuilding from a massive house fire ... I would put the finishing touches on our house rebuild, and then, It would be nice to reward our family for all of their hard work and support, by giving them a well-deserved vacation". I hope this piqued some curiosity - also because the upvote can be supported a prior, Mike married a peach - and the beauty of our amazing women does not end by the age of 27. It is life-long.

You definitely picked the right person to cheer you up. I do it all the time. I am so glad you picked this version. She actually sings it many different ways, and you should on your own time just listen to the audio of the original, but this version was so filled with passion and I just loved it. As I said in an earlier comment, "Infections of a different kind" is the only other song you haven't heard already from this concert. That would be a great one to do next time you do Aurora. ( or "Queendom" which is one of my all time favorites)It is also a great song and performance. And it's a song that means a lot to Aurora (Probably why it's the name of the Album. And I'm talking about Infections of a different kind, not Queendom) Glad you chose to do this if you're not feeling well and needed a pick me up. She is always my go to when I feel like crap or need a smile.

Loved your reaction(s)! Haik (HIKE) is an amazing Norwegian Public TV documentary which you need to watch when you have the time. Some have reacted to the entire video and if that isn’t possible you need to watch it for your own pleasure. A show specifically designed for Aurora which has beautiful performances and many surprises for her. She had no idea she would be doing a mini concert for two very lucky fans and it’s my understanding this arrangement was made on the spot, while the host picked up the fans for this “show”.
You can absolutely feel how much this performance means to Aurora as she sings this perfect, revised version, of Warrior.
By the way, Do you think the women felt Aurora’s emotion?😍 Aurora is amazing!!

Yes, I am watching your reaction again. I keep picking up on something else every time I watch it. I noticed you said this one was optimistic . I agree, and most of her songs have that ray of hope in them, even the sad ones. But, I really would suggest "Queendom" if that is what you're looking for. If one song really sums Aurora up it is that one. The video is beautiful and the lyrics are so well written and wonderful. It's a very optimistic and beautiful message in so many ways. And it's why her little Warriors & Weirdos love her so much. We'd all love to live in Aurora's Queendom. Just thought I would share that with you since I know you seem to like that sort of thing. I think you like the same things about her that I do Ginger. (So I wouldn't steer you wrong) Oh, and I hope you are feeling better.

Ginger, would you please do a reaction video to a little known artist, her name is Templeton Thompson, she is performing "SOMEDAY SOON' by fellow Canadian Ian Tyson. I like Suzy Bogguss Live version but Templeton's version just stands out more. It's more along the lines of Judy Collins version. Lucy Thomas is soon to be releasing her version of this song and she said it's going to be close to Templeton's version.......
