  • Here is a full start to finish tutorial of a shaker cake topper I made in Cricut Design Space.
    In this tutorial I show how I made this shaker cake topper in the easiest way I could think of that would be achievable regardless of the type of cutting machine you are working with. I show how I designed and put the topper together in Cricut Design Space. I share what worked and what didn’t and what I would do different next time. It’s a learning process than only gets better with time and practice. As usual feel free to ask questions by leaving a comment or find me on social media or by email.
    Thank you!

    I was actually looking for a tutorial to do a very easy shaker cake topper on my Cricut Maker & I can’t believe that I found this with the exact theme and age; it was the first video to pop up!!! That’s a good idea with the offset I sometimes if i don’t want to use Inkscape I make the font as big as I can change it to print MAKE IT THEN SCREEN SHOT IT WITH BLEED.

    • @UnaCraftyTeacher
      @UnaCraftyTeacher  3 года назад

      Yes the bleed method is another way. I usually use Silhouette Studio for script fonts but I figured this one would be easy to do like this. Inkscape is also a good software to use.

    • @UnaCraftyTeacher

      Thank you I’m sure you’ll do great. The reason for the copying is to create an offset (the edge on the letters) this tutorial was before the offset feature on design space so skip the 6 times and just use the offset tool. Message me on Instagram if you need help along the way. 🤗

      I’m working on one. But the system guides you through everything and it will ask you what color to put on the mat and then the next one. You just gotta try it and mess up and that’s how I learned. Start with a simple project so you get the process.

      @@bianeydelgado8312 When you go make the project Design space will prompt you to print the image. Then once printed you place it on the mat and the Cricut will cut it for you. I’ll make a video ☺️

    Thank you soooo much for this amazing video. So far the best one to follow! You did a great job. I so have one question. Will we get same results by using the "offset" feature on design space versus duplicating 6x? Or is your method better for more Sharp edges? Either way I love ur method. Just curious as to what the difference is

      Thank you for your kind words. Yes this video was before the offset feature was available. So yes use the offset feature and it’s way better and easier. 😊

    i use to use design space, but i've always been obsessssed with offsetting and i had to switch to silhouette, so many options

      Oh yes Silhouette Studio is amazing. Design space has a lot of catching up to do lol

    I really didn’t understand why you did the little triangle on the A’s and why you did the six copies of the name etc?

    • @UnaCraftyTeacher
      @UnaCraftyTeacher  2 года назад +1

      This video was before the offset feature was available so I had to find other ways to do it. No need for that anymore just do the offset.
