Just from this video I learned So much stuff I had no idea about I feel so silly, never knew you can unlock the image to change the height and never knew about the slice tool!! You have changed my life thank you!
Hi! I just found your channel and how you explain designing was so easy to follow. I am subscribing now and I'm sure Ill be binge watching since I'm sick with pneumonia
Thank you so much for this great tutorial! I came across your video while looking at cake topper videos and this is actually perfect since I am needing to make a baby shark one as well for my son's first birthday in a couple weeks! It was meant to be! :D
Love this! So you these are all separate pieces of cardstock? No printing? I believe I read this in the comments. I watched you assembled it, but I would love to see how you assemble the sharks and the shadowed name and number.
Thank you! And yes, all separate pieces ☺️ at the time I didn’t have a printer so I just used my tweezers and some hot glue to glue the sharks together. I would have definitely done a print + cut if I had the option to lol. Not sure if you’re referring to the other video but I have another where show how I assemble it all using foam tape + hot glue
So after your done designing what ever you want. Once you click make it. It cuts everything separate right. Or you have to separate it at the end for it to print and cut? I just got a crust cut and I’m learning lol
Sorry haven’t gotten through the whole video yet but before I forget my first question lol, do you find doing an all separate cut vs print and cut for the Sharks gives a more polished look or is it strictly just your preference?
Hi!! I didn’t have a printer when I did this so I had no other option lol! But as long as the print quality is good I would most definitely use print & cut 😄 I’m glad your enjoyed it!
I think this is amazing, but can you do this from start to finish, I was doing great until the end , you don't show how you printed it , do you need to change every color paper , what kind did you use , I got lots at the end
Hi! Sorry about that! I do have another video where I assemble it. Everything was cut on 65lb cardstock paper (I always get mine from Michael’s or 80lb from Joann), when you go to make it on your machine you will cut every piece by color 💕 I’ll definitely keep this in mind for future videos 😊
@@craftingwithsoul8624 Hey! Just wondering if you've ever tried Astrobright 65lb Cardstock and if its any good? I buy almost everything fromTarget and that's the only brand they have there. Thanks in advance :)
So if i print and cut this, would I print it on regular printer paper then glue to cards took after I did a duplicate and weld the entire image so it would have backing? Because then it wouldnt be 3D. Or would I print and cut each item separately along with a welded duplicate image of each item then glue/stick it all together so it would then be 3d?
I have another video where I show how I assembled this cake topper! If you wanted to have a background on the entire cake topper I would suggest duplicating the entire project and welding one. In the other video you will see everything is cut out on colored cardstock so the only thing I would print+cut would be the baby sharks but that’s totally optional. Hope that helps! 😊
I think it would just depend on where you sell it. If you have Etsy then I would definitely look into what characters and stuff you aren’t able to list due to this. I only sell banners & toppers through Instagram at this time so I’m not too sure
Hello! Any way to help me creat a strawberry shortcake 3d cake topper?? My first time and im having a hard time on hoe to make one or where to start... anyway of doing one and showing or tell me how i can start??
Thank you! It all depends on the size of the cake. If you’re making it for someone I would always ask because you don’t want to make something that’s too big for the cake or too small ☺️
I don’t think it’s available anymore on the shop I purchased from 😕 you can look around Etsy for others but it needs to be an svg file for you to get the individual layers
I purchased the svg files for the baby sharks on Etsy but I can’t find the listing anymore 😕 if you have the ability to print you can always download images from google and use the print then cut feature!
@@craftingwithsoul8624 thank you! I just bought a cricut and my daughters birthday is March 27th, I am trying to make her one and it would be my first project. Super excited and nervous lol
Thank you! 😄 you can try selecting your entire project and duplicating it then what you’ll do is weld the duplicated image and that’ll give you the outline of your entire project that you can make bigger to use as the shadow
You go way to fast. You click away and we have no idea what you are clicking on. I followed every step that you did, that I could see, and when I went to make it, the whole thing is green.
So after your done designing what ever you want. Once you click make it. It cuts everything separate right. Or you have to separate it at the end for it to print and cut? I just got a crust cut and I’m learning lol
Yes! Just click make it and it will automatically group the project by color 😊 if you are doing a print and cut it will prompt you to send the picture to printer then you will load your mat with the printed sheet to cut

You are very succinct and clear. You ate a great teacher

It would be great if you also showed us how you put it together

What kind of paper would you use for print + cut? Cardstock still?

Igiann Olivera I’ve actually never used it to make anything but I have used some of their colored paper as tabs! It seemed perfect for cake toppers
@@craftingwithsoul8624 hey what if u doing print to cut wat paper do I use ?
I’ve done all the steps you’re doing but when it come to cutting it never cuts all the way thru I have to go back with Craft knife.
Help please!
Ahh! I was having issues with this a while ago! I think it’s just a system/machine issue because now it’s fine and I did nothing differently 😕
Excellent tutorial. Thank you :-)

I'm tryin to layer the number 1 but it just doesn't layer properly, any sugesstions?
You can try offset! It only works on desktop but it’s a life saver!
What material did you use to create this? Thank you
Hi! I just use 65lb cardstock 😊 my favorite is the recollections brand from michaels
Any BTS cake toppers 💕
When you purchase the baby shark image, are you then able to sell the topper without infringement being an issue? X

Hi!! I would love to help!! You can always msg me through IG, it’s easier for me to respond 😊 @craftingwiths0ul
You should upload your fonts on font cloud and then you will see how all your fonts will look like at one instead of scrolling in Design space
YES!!! Omg I just discovered something similar not that long ago and my life will never be the same lol. I love it! Thanks for the tip 😁
What Type of Paper did you use?
I use 65lb cardstock! I prefer to use the recollections brand from Michaels 😊
Great video. How do you know the size of the cake topper for each size cake? Thanks

I wanted to know if the template is a photoshop or Microsoft???
